Chapter 174: The Letter

Klautz sneaked in behind her. He didn't feel any shame slipping his hands at the worst place possible. It was as if he owned her body.
But what Klautz did with her was of least concern to her. She was more shocked at the fact that Klautz had caught onto her skulking.
"Oh Klautz it was you," she breathed a sigh of relief.
At least it was Klautz himself. What could he do to her at most? Other than being a little rough on bed. Had it been someone else it might have been a lot of trouble for her. The guards at this building were rather strict about everything!
Klautz smirked.
"You didn't answer my earlier question. What are you doing here?" Klautz asked.
But Selena was finding it hard to look for a reply.
What was she doing here? Could she give a proper answer to that? There was no good enough reason. It was just that her heart couldn't be at ease and she had to come to check up on Klautz.
She gave off a wry smile as she replied.
"Nothing actually. You disappeared yesterday. I looked for you but I couldn't find you. So I thought you were probably with that girl. I was just checking if you have got back in your quarters."
Claiming something as embarrassing as that. She understood well that she was posing herself as thirsty but she didn't care about it anymore. If it were someone else she would have probably died of shame!
Klautz raised his brows.
'Well, she is not completely wrong. It's just that I was sparring with the girl she speaks of.'
There was no relationship between Klautz and Maebi. At least not what Selena thought of. But Klautz didn't care what she thought! She could think whatever she wanted. For Klautz, it's all the same.
"Well, my room is empty. Wanna come in?"
Klautz smirked. But Selena didn't reply. She knew what he wanted and she was very much prepared to give it to him. She pushed open the door and stormed off inside. Klautz too followed behind slamming the door behind him.

A new morning brought in new possibilities. Klautz woke up only to find Selena in her birthday suit beside him. There was nothing much to explain. His nights had turned quite livelier than before thanks to her activeness.
Klautz got up, taking his time to freshen up. But before he knew fate had led him to meet quite a familiar face on his way.
"Klautz?"
Klautz turned around only to be greeted by Verona.
She had just come out of the bath and her wet hair was dangling from the side. It gave her an alluring appearance Klautz had never seen before. For a few moments Klautz just ended up staring at her alluring face with no other care of the world.
Feeling his burning gaze, Verona's cheeks flushed. Ever since she got to know that Klautz thinks of her romantically she couldn't help but think of him all day. She was conscious of his stare. Who knew what kind of dirty thoughts he might be having of her?
"Klautz, can you come to my quarters?" she asked with a blush on her face.
'Oh?'
Klautz was taken aback. But his facial muscles didn't react so as to not give away his surprise.
Was she inviting him already? There was no other reason Klautz could think of as to why she would call him. Klautz had no idea if his confession from earlier was a hit or a miss.
Being in a ninja village, neither had he confessed to anyone before nor had he seen others confessing to each other. It was the part of society that could be only considered a mystery to him.
"Sure, I am free until the drill begins."
There was not much Klautz could do until the clock hit six. Even his pockets were empty with 200 gold to his name after buying all of those potions. Looking out what she had to say wouldn't hurt.
'Things are looking good so far.'
Klautz smirked.

Klautz followed Verona's instructions and eased himself on her bed. All the while Verona fiddled with the drawers beside. She was looking for something. Her hair hanging in front of him is still somewhat wet. It made her smell drift into Klautz nostrils making his hormones kick in.
"Found it," she declared.
She brought out an envelope. From which she took out a letter. She looked at it reluctantly.
'Should I show it to him?'
In the end she made her decision and passed it to Klautz.
Klautz frowned with question marks on his face as he stared at Verona. But Verona only gave him a wry smile expecting him to open it.
He nonchalantly opened the letter as his eyes travelled through it. But as he read it his facial expression changed as veins started to pop up on his forehead. The letter crumbled under his fist.
'Damn Akihiko!'
The letter was a derogatory one. It mentioned Klautz as someone who couldn't be trusted and also mentioned him sleeping with Maebi in a bad undertone. The time Verona received the letter seemed to be the exact same time that Klautz fucked Maebi since the letter also asked Verona to visit his room as a proof of its claims.
Klautz's brain ran like horses. Little by little everything fell into its place. How Selena ended up in his room that night. The reason as to why she was consumed by anger. A single letter had thrown light to all of those questions.
'She must have received a similar letter as Verona and when she saw that its claims were indeed true she couldn't keep her emotions under control.'
For a moment Klautz's mind let go of all reason. He had an intense urge to kill Akihiko even though his strength wasn't enough to do so.
