Akihiko would usually tell her that a ninja is a tool meant to die and to save the life of their client. But this time the instructions were vastly different than usual. Maebi could only wonder what was the cause of such change.
But the fun fact was. Akihiko wasn't planning anything fishy this time around.
"Nevertheless, there cannot possibly be any danger in these areas," Maebi whispered.
She had been in these areas before. The beasts in these areas were rather weak for the current her.
But the same cannot be said for Klautz. Walking here would be like suicide for the current him.
"He would probably not die in my presence, but what does he even aim to do here," Maebi was lost in her soliloquy.
Many things were amiss to her in the matter. Added with the fact that she was still clueless about Klautz actual strength.
'But today both of them would know of it'
*sigh*
'Can't really do anything about it. For something to be gained something must be lost as well.'
But Klautz had no plans of revealing his cards even though he might reveal his stats.

The funny thing about the whole matter was Klautz didn't even need to reveal his status screen to give away the data about his attribute. Simple watching him fight at his full strength was enough of a giveaway.
"All the monsters in this hotspot are as strong as the current me. I simply cannot hold back against them."
Klautz would be just barely able to damage them. His strength stat being as good as their defence would chip away their health little by little ending their lives. Gone were the days when Klautz could kill monsters with a single slash.
His ears were on high alert. His hair stood high aiming to gauge even the slightest of changes on his atmosphere. His pupils refused to blink! For fear that even the slightest mistake could cause his life to end.
"Of course Maebi is there. But I can't rely on her completely. She is but a trainee and can fail"
There was nothing wrong with relying on a ninja… a stronger one at that. But Maebi wasn't certified yet. Klautz had no trust in her skills. It was just the strength that he knew she had.
It was then…
"Hiss!"
The snow on the floor bulged outward for some reason with a hissing sound. As it grew larger and larger the snow began to fall off the bump in the ground revealing blue scales that were as pointy as a knife. They were like beautiful jewels endowing the serpent's body that was now spreading its hood it s tongues going in and out.
"Hiss!"
It was an alone beast that could be easily found at the outskirts of [South Mine].
South Mine was a hotspot that harboured a variety of beasts that can use Ice-type magic to different degrees! All of the magic users are beginner graded. But it was certainly not something a newbie could face!
At the outskirts just one of these man-sized serpants appeared but as one gets inside more and more serpent's start appearing. Sometimes they even attack groups of three!
For Klautz who was just barely stronger than them. Fighting three of them was too hard.
Klautz could only say his priayers if he were to face three of them at once. But thankfully it was just one. Fighting one of them shoudln't be an issue.
"You are dead."
Klautz leapt in the air as his black spirit wriggled out of his inventory forming his loved ninjato. It landed on the beast body.
*Clang*
The other scales of the beast chipped out but Klautz wasn't quite able to deal it an injury. The icicles cracked and fell to the ground thanks to Klautz strength shattering them.
Fighting monsters was quite different than fighting humans. Klautz had rarely fought any monsters as a ninja compared to the different hells folk. But that doesn't mean that he hadn't fought any as a trainee!
There is a lot of difference between a ninja and a trainee. The trainee isn't as bounded by the laws of the ninjas as a shinobi/kunoichi is.
This hotspot especially was specially known for the trainees to train due to its extreme whether condition! Not many would like to grind here.
After all, why grind in bad weather when you can do so in a good one? The stat drops aren't going to be any different depending on the surroundings!
But the ninjas had a habit of torturing themselves.
It is because of that same very reason that Klautz had picked this spot to grind.
"Not many would come here."

The beast attacked with its fangs but Klautz defended with his black weapon. He applied a great deal of force causing the beasts teeth to crack.
Klaut knew of all of its attack patterns and there was no way it was going to let the beast harm him!
"How?" Maebi whispered.
Yet again Klautz as proved to shock her. She couldn't believe her eyes when she saw Klautz cracking the beast's teeth! Let alone Klautz pushing it back.
'Wasn't he just a newbie?'
No matter how great a ninja Klautz might have been on earth, he shouldn't have many stats to his name. Yet here he was fighting a beast twice as strong as him toe to toe!
'Is he using some kind of breathing technique?' Klautz usual strength was causing Maebi to jump to wrong conclusions.
She was so flustered that she could not put two and two together! She watched him intently as her eyes followed through his whole body.
She followed his chest heaving up and down, His footwork, his sword moves everything!
