"You could have chosen a different target!" the man screamed in annoyance.

But Shizu shook her head trying to deny his claims. She was trying to act as innocent as possible. For a murderer she was quite an oxymoron incarnate.

"I need to prepare the teleportation spell from beforehand in a room so switching targets is impossible."

This time however she spoke the truth as her eyes squinted.

The man's forehead creased as he messaged them, closing his eyes. Annoyed as he was there wasn't much he could do other than recording down the report.

But…

An unexpected event took place the very next moment. He turned around and grasped onto Evelyn's neck. Evelyn, lifted and held by her neck could only try to kick him with his legs. But alas! Her legs never reached. Evelyn squirmed under his grasp as she begged for breath.

There were very few people that Ty could oppress with his strength alone. He had a weak constitution ever since he was summoned to hell. So how could he let go of such a good opportunity to let out his frustrations? Evelyn had become an outlet for his anger at his own bad luck.

"You think your stupid excuses can fool us? What are you planning?"

Evelyn squirmed as she kicked in the air.

"I… am… speaking the truth…. Believe me," she spoke in a tight lipped fashion not being able to breathe properly,

Faced with death she squirmed like a fish that was brought to land.

"Shit! Dammit!" The man cried as he tossed Evelyn aside. For better or worse he couldn't kill her.

Evelyn fell on her ass as she held onto her neck that now had fingermarks on it.

*Cough* *Cough*

She tried to take deep breaths to relinquish the lost air in her lungs. It was just a minute of breathlessness but she felt like she had reached death's door.

The man ceased his brows as he took out a scroll, formulating a report. The thought of checking out Evelyn never crossed his mind.

'Technically I can kill her here and feign in the report that she was killed by beasts. But she is my door to promotion, I won't kill her just yet.' Ty thought.

'And they would surely reduce my pay if they found out.' He thought as he sighed in disappointment.

But he had no other choice. Finally noting down everything he called for his ninja.

"Envoy!" He cried

But there was no response. There was a deathly silence in the forest quite in contrast to the silent footsteps he was used to receiving from his ninjas.

"Envoy!"

He screamed again on top of his voice. Finally when no one refused to show up he knitted his brows in worry.

He turned his gaze to Evelyn trying to discern what was happening. But Evelyn didn't need to reply. He soon got his answers all by himself.

"You want an 'Envoy'? I am here. What sort of message do you want to pass?"

Klautz's voice resounded in his ears making him turn around to the unknown presence.

His eyes shot out wide as he saw Klautz's smirking face. In his hand was a black card of 'F' rank ninja which was soon crushed under his grasp.

"What!"

He realized that there was something wrong. Klautz's presence was stronger than the average newbie. His ninjas weren't responding either. Leaving behind everything else, he made a run for it.

'There must be at least one of them alive. At least the backing ninja!' he thought as his pupils shook in hopes and worries.

Ninjas carried out group missions in quite an unusual way.

There would always be one ninja behind the main force acting as their backer. Ty put his hopes on the very backer, guessing that all of his ninjas would have died by this point.

The backer of the ninja group is not a reinforcement in the truest sense. The job of this mysterious ninja who always keeps some distance from the original group as he follows behind them was to destroy their corpses in case of a complete wipe out and also reporting to the headquarters of the failure of the mission.

Often times this mysterious ninja does step up in the battle, but he only does so in case of a deadlock that needs a little extra help for a decisive victory.

And 'this time' it was indeed not a deadlock but a complete wipe out. The hope that the representative had that one of his ninjas was alive was unfound.

'That ninja would probably already be on its way to headquarters,' Klautz thought as his lips arched into a devilish smile.

Klautz's group too worked in the same way as them. With Klautz and two ninjas sneaking and killing the enemies while one of them stood at a standby.  But alas! There were no casualties on Klautz's side. There was never a need fir the third ninja to step in.

The man's face turned pale on the realization that he was all alone, as he ran away from Klautz.

"Who is he? I haven't seen him before. It wasn't supposed to go this way!" The man whispered to himself as he ran.

He gritted his teeth as he clutched onto his kunai.

Soon enough Klautz and the girl were out of his site but his feet refused to stop as numerous of thorny trees passed by against him.

But from amongst those very trees he could feel someone peeking at him from time to time. They were the blue ominous eyes that represented death! The death that was looming over his head at all times.

Soon he found himself surrounded by these very eyes in all eight directions. Numerous of spectors circled around him as they danced to the song of his death.

*Swish*
