Verona's cheeks were dyed in a tinge of red. Her expression itself reeked of lust. She had tried hard to hold herself back for a long time despite Klautz's teasing.
In fact, Verona had acted quite hastily so as to not get caught. Tucking in breasts of those sizes in a matter of a few seconds wasn't a feat to scoff at. That was how they were able to fool the now confused Shizu.
But they weren't able to do the same for Selena.
'I wonder who he is going to go for next after this,' Selena thought as her eyes traveled to Shizu who was catching her breath.
They had run around for quite a while looking for Klautz before finding him there.
The devilish thought itself was enough for Selena to shoot her eyes wide.
'Don't tell me…'
She shook her head.
Selena had a weird premonition. But she chose to keep it to herself, for she had a nice and pleasing way for preventing such a disaster.
'I just have to wring his balls dry.'
"Tch," Klautz clicked his tongue in a light tone unnoticed by anyone.
'Should have locked the door.'
It was just that they were too soon to get into the mood or at least he was. This led Klautz to forget about the 'important details' leading to the current situation.
"What do you want?" Klautz asked with his tone having riddled with a slight sense of annoyance. He swatted at the air.
He wanted Shizu to leave and maybe keep Selena behind for him.
"Why didn't you come down for the event?" Shizu asked, holding onto her hips. "Hmph?"
Selena rolled her eyes and so did Klautz. Selena lips persed as she wanted to scream at her but he held herself back.
'She calls me an airhead. But she is the airhead here. Isn't it obvious? After all, what would a man and a woman do in a closed room?'
"Do I have to give a reason to do that?" Klautz said as he shrugged. His lifted shoulders and his showing palms portrayed how much he cared. In fact, he was thinking of ways of chasing Shizu away.
The nonchalant response caused Shizu to loosen her hands on her hips leaving her at a loss of words as she straightened her spine.
"You are right… you don't need to."
None of the newbies were compelled to be present at the event. It was just that there was too much hype for anyone to miss it. There was not much of any source of entertainment in the camp in the first place. So people would tend to flock towards it, unless they had a lover waiting for them in closed rooms. But Shizu was unaware of the latter fact.
"But here me out!" Shizu exclaimed. "Benton had quit to participate in the event, someone had replaced him on the stage and he isn't even that strong!"
Klautz raised his brows.
'Benton quit? That doesn't seem to be a good news. What is he planning?'
Shizu had delivered a new piece of information to Klautz. In the end, Klautz could only reach the same conclusion that Colt had reached. If Benton was backing off then matters were definitely not simple.
Klautz held onto his chin pondering more and more. But the next thing that she heard was even more weird.
"We need your help. I want you to represent the earthlings."
Shizu's clasped her hands into a fist, her shoulders went stiff as she bent forward to give strength to her words.
Klautz ears jerked as he stared at Shizu for a minute or two, but he soon started laughing,
"Pfft, why should I?" Klautz laughed as he wiped off the tears coming out from his eyes.
Did he have an obligation? He had none. Not to mention that Shizu was no threat to him anymore. She might have been stronger than him at the beginning but now she is nowhere close.
"I will pay for it!" Shizu claimed all of a sudden causing Klautz to jerk.
Klautz thought that she would just leave and stop bothering him but his expectations were betrayed.
'Does she think she can bribe me? She doesn't know who I am!' Klautz thought.
Klautz had a special sense of loathing for selling himself away for the sake of money. After all, hadn't he done the same thing in his previous life? He had become a tool whose service could be bought with money anytime anyone wanted.
Of course, it wasn't greed that had bound him, rather no ninja could escape the plight of being a tool no matter how strong or how loaded he gets.
"How much will you pay?" Klautz whispered under his voice not wanting to sound greedy.
There was no problem in gaining more information about the deal was there?
But Shizu was quick to pick up on that as she smirked.
"5000 gold!"

Klautz eyes struck out wide.
It was indeed a good enough amount considering it was just a small favor. Klautz had worked as a ninja in his previous life so most of his ideas about money came from there. But it sounded like an enormous amount to acquire at Klautz's current strength.
One must note that Klautz wasn't even at the same strength of an F rank ninja yet. Yet the price that Shizu was willing to pay might have been sufficient to hire a D rank ninja in the village's bad days.
Of course the price of service always went up and down in a volatile market like hell so it was hard to make an accurate estimation.
'I would have to struggle for a score of days for that kind of amount.'
