"By the way, Miss Xia, I have always seen Ms Ryder to accompany you at all times. Today however you are alone it seems. What happened to her?"

Hearing her friend's name Xia's face turned into that of a white sash.

"Hmph, she is probably fooling around with men."

"Eh?"

Benton couldn't help but be stupefied. That was quite in contrast to what he had expected.

"Doesn't she have a fiance? I reckon she was engaged."

"Don't ask me. I am not aware of her motivations."

"Oh, is that so? I thought you were friends."

*sigh*

"Please don't categorize me in the same ways as her."

Benton nodded.

"I see, I feel really sorry for him to be engaged to Ms Ryder."

"Indeed it is as you say."

Klautz and Evelyn came back to the group along with the other three newbies who had went along with him loaded with bags all over again.

'It was worth avoiding the red circle.' That was the only conclusion he could achieve.

Klautz had been but lucky that his first guess was a hit despite having not many clues. Otherwise things could have got worse, but it seemed fine for now.

For some unknown reason as long as Klautz didn't fool around outside of it nothing weird happened. Though unexplainable at the moment at least he was able to avoid it.

"All the more reason for us to not stop."

As long as there was something fishy going on, Klautz cannot back off. It was clear that since the collected horns were not with the individual groups, they ought to be accumulated somewhere.

Klautz wasn't much worried about having too many of these horns on him. Once they win no one would have the audacity to question Shizu no matter how bad her reputation was. Spending time with her Klautz had realized that her backing was formidable due to which not even the second gens would question it let alone the newbies.

The very fact that these young masters had kept the dirty rumors about her all to themselves was proof that they were afraid of something or someone.

And before Klautz knew it he had already raided 12 groups procuring their resources. Three of them however did not give him any returns as they Klautz had entered into them earlier before figuring out the 'red circle phenomenon'.

Before they knew it they were already full on storage and had come back to leave some behind.

But as soon as they returned…

"Ah! so you are Klautz."

A mysterious woman greeted him ignoring the others that stood behind him.

They were equally confused as regards to the identity of the woman. But Klautz knew from experience who she was… yet he chose to feign ignorance.

"You are?"

"Dina. You might not know me but I am Shizu's close friend you see."

She smiled, baring her teeth. It was the kind of feminine charm that you could hardly find anywhere else.

'Close friend my ass. Probably an acquaintance would have been better.' Klautz thought.

Though Klautz understood the implications of such a statement. There was a hidden meaning behind that which was aimed to show Klautz the difference in their status. Dina Ryder was a second gen after all.

It might end up troublesome for her if someone mistakes her for an earthling.

"I see. Pleased to meet you."

Klautz nodded.

The most vibrant memory Klautz had of Dina was from this life itself. She was the one from which Klautz had got the most information when it came to the rumor in regards to Shizu. She was the one who gossiped about it the most after all.

"Though you don't seem to be someone from our group. May I ask you what brought you here?" Klautz asked somewhat coldly in his demeanour and annoyed by his expression.

Still putting up with his act, he was trying his best to divert her attention all the while trying to get some information out of her if possible.

It was quite possible that she was here to inflict harm upon Klautz's team. As she had spread the rumors around she seemed to enjoy it quite a lot. Klautz didn't know if she had some kind of personal animosity with Shizu, but he cannot allow her to mess up with his plans.

"Ow, that's so rude of you. I have been waiting for you here ever since."

She curled her fingers along each other as she appeared to be shy as a maiden with her cheeks flushed.

Klautz brows twitched in annoyance.

'There is a limit to how bad you can be in acting.'

He was a actor himself and he was acting as they spoke. Yet compared to Klautz her skills were worse than that of a child. It was as if she was making no effort in hiding her malicious intentions.

'This is too much.'

In the first place the situation and mood weren't even right. It was now much more proven than before that she had some kind of ulterior motives.

Klautz wanted to punch her face, but the mercenaries around watching over them gave him the most chills.

'How do I get rid of her?'

It was at that moment…

Her eyes drifted sideways as she noticed Evelyn and the others.

"You guys seem to be working on something. What's in those sacs?" she asked, poking her cheek.

'Shit!'

The worst thing that could happen had to happen. Klautz was trying his best to avoid it by engaging with her in a polite conversation by all means distracting her... But it was inevitable.

Klautz had tried his best to order the ones behind him to move away from the place while he engaged her. He could only use sign languages behind his back to direct them. But it didn't work out.
