"Well doesn't matter," Klautz took his stance wielding the spirit ninjato.

There is a reason why the cloning skill was popular among ninjas. It's good for a sneak attack but that is why it is bad for frontal attacks as well.

"Ha Ha!" Lewis laughed as he tried to gain back his lost confidence. "Surprised? No doubt you are!"

All of the clones charged at them. Klautz had seen many clone users before. Two things are common amongst them.

Firstly the class's effectiveness depends on its rank and quest progress.

Secondly, none of the clone's strength is greater in strength than the original user of the class. This means that all of the clones are no better than those people who don't possess any class at all!

People grow stronger either by defeating monsters thereby gaining stats or by completing class based quests. Someone who doesn't have a single class has odds against him compared to someone who does have them.

The clones are the same. Ordinary humans with no class just stats similar to the user.

The clones charged towards Klautz. Wielding the Toasias's demonic spirit he charged towards their stampede.

*Swish*

*Swish*

*Poof*

With two of his clashes, two of the clones already disappeared into thin air. But there was no blood that splattered, the two clones disappeared with a poof!

Meanwhile, the others stepped back in desperation. Blinking rapidly they had their mouths left agape.

"Two gone? Just like that?" Lewis couldn't help but complain owing to his fear.

He had never expected Klautz to be so strong. Most of his targets had been overwhelmed by just two of himself!

"Does he have some kind of warrior or swordmaster class?" Klautz's proficiency in wielding his ninja sword made him make mistakes in determining Klautz's class.

Little did he know that both of Klautz classes had nothing to do with warriors and fighting. Instead, it was much more amazing than what he could even imagine.

"Everyone attacks at once!" Lewis had understood that his little tricks aren't going to work anymore. Lewis didn't want to take any chances. It was everything or nothing. He was prepared to give it his all. But alas he couldn't do much as Klautz cut through his clones like butter making them all disappear.

It wasn't long until the real him was the last one standing! Lewis panicked.

"Wait, I think that we can talk this out!" His voice fluttered. He jerked taking a step back. He raised his hands as he beckoned for Klautz to stop. But Klautz never stopped. With every step he took, Lewis felt his impending death coming towards himself.

"Your fate was sealed the moment you chose to attack me. Do you think I am foolish enough to drop my arms against my enemies in the heat of battle? Especially when I have won against a killer like you?"

But Lewis wasn't going down with just that.

Just like a drop of water can do nothing to change an ocean's volume, in the same way, a short battle wasn't enough to change a person's nature and perspective. And sure enough, this battle did nothing to change both Klautz and Lewis's nature. Neither did Klautz change his nature and spare his enemy nor did Lewis let go of his crafty attitude.

"Help!" Selena screamed. There was a dagger on her neck procured by one of Lewis's clones.

Klautz ears twitched at her scream. He turned around and found Selena held as a hostage by one of Lewis's clones.

'Another one?' Klautz thought.

Lewis' lips arched into a tight lipped smile. All of his clones were defeated by Klautz but he had kept one of his clones in hiding for emergencies like this.

It had ambushed Selena and had held her hostage. This was the only one for him to get out of this situation. With Klautz easily killing all of his clones, how could he hope to get away from Klautz?

"Haha, take that!" He laughed out aloud. It was not a playful laugh but a laugh of mockery. "Now what will you do Mister? Drop your weapon if you don't want your girlfriend to die."

"Pfft!"

Klautz couldn't help but laugh as he held his stomach.

"Pfft… girlfriend?... HaHa"

His unusual laughter caused both Selena and Lewis to frown. They had question marks on their faces. But the cause of their concern was completely was different.

"What is funny? I am not joking! I will kill her for real!"

Lewis gave off a threat as his clone pressed his dagger closer to Selena's neck. Blood trickled down her neck as the blade created a small orifice piercing his skin.

Selena whole body tensed as she felt the cold blade against her neck. She could feel its sharpness and metallic feel as it brushed against her skin. With this, she knew her life was in real danger. And it was quite the irony that the one killing her wasn't even a real person in the first place! It was just a clone.

Cold sweats started pouring from her forehead.

"Tsk," Klautz clicked his tongue in reply to Lewis' threat. He couldn't help but roll his eyes.

"You just want me to throw away my weapon right?" Klautz raised his brows making his forehead disappear.

Lewis nodded.

*clang*

Klautz let go of his spirit sword. As Lewis watched the sword falling to the forest floor he could finally let out a breath of relief.

Klautz notified him by raising his hands to show him that his hands were indeed empty.

"Haha, keep them raised." Lewis said, "Finally the camel came under the mountain."

The real Lewis came forward as he placed his sword on Klautz neck.

"Check," Lewis whispered, "How does it feel to be outwitted?" He asked Klautz.

But Klautz didn't reply. Instead, he changed the topic.
