I follow behind Jill, who is now willing to take my order. She was going to put together the details of the house to be built in the back.

We were taken to a messy room in the back. This is not the place to welcome guests, is it?

"Hey. I brought a guest. Yuta. This way."

Jill, you're a free spirit. The construction company atmosphere out front has been shattered, and the atmosphere is that of a carpenter.

"So, what kind of house do you want?"

I'd like to have a wooden house, but the environment in the land of the dead is harsh. If I don't take care of it, it will be damaged soon. But I want the warmth of wood. For now, it's just me and Sara and the kids, so two rooms is more than enough. But it's better to have more room, and a little more to accommodate more people.

"I want to have storage and at least five rooms. And a living room, a kitchen, a toilet and a bath. I want a house with a stone exterior and a warm interior with lots of wood.

"Oh come on, it's going to be pretty big. Can you store it in a magic bag?"

"Don't worry. We have no problem because we have quite a lot of space.

"How much space do you mean exactly? If it doesn't, it'll be a disaster."

"Yes, that's right. This building will easily fit.

This building is a little bigger than a single assault dragon. Even the magic bag in the treasure chest will fit.

"Hmm. "Hmm. It's pretty good. If you sell the magic bag, you can build a mansion in the labyrinth city without taking the house all the way to the steepest part of the city.

Even so, it is the strongholds of the land of the dead that need a home. The labyrinth city isn't exactly cozy, and I have no intention of selling my magic bag.

"Maybe so. I like where I want to build my house and I'm not going to give up."

I feel like that place is important to me, even if there are zombies roaming around and wraiths and ghosts flying in the air. You get attached to a place when you put in the work yourself.

"I see. Well, okay. Then let's work on the details."

Over a cup of tea, we put our imaginations into reality, telling Jill what kind of house we wanted, and sometimes requests from Dine and Dolly. I was thinking of asking for a tree house as well, but it would be a lot of work for just one house. Maybe next time.

By the way, the Belles are bored and playing tag in their room. They were happy to "play house" until a while ago. Children are fickle.

Deanne says that a big bath is the best, and Dolly is particular about the quality of the wood. It's not a sanctuary, so we won't be using it for a while.

"It's not much. But it's going to cost a lot. Is the money safe?"

Indeed. I'm having a lot of fun and being selfish. It's bigger than I had planned, and I heard that the inner wood lining and the grimoire are going to cost a lot. I didn't know there was such a thing. Apparently they were so expensive that they weren't installed in my area.

I walked around the labyrinth city quite a bit, but I didn't set foot in any high-end stores, so I guess it doesn't matter. I decided to buy a tool to boil a bath and a toilet. They are going to let me use their premises to build a house. He said it would be easier since he wouldn't have to go to the site.

"How long will it take?"

"That's right. I'd say 70 million elt. Can you afford it?"

...... can pay. I can pay it, but my heart starts pounding when I hear a big sum. Maybe I'm getting a little carried away.

The price of the land is irrelevant. Is it OK to make a decision? I was kind of spur of the moment, so I chickened out when I heard the price.

Calm down. Calm down. ...... If we get the herbs to Marie, we can buy three houses. I'm starting to think it won't be a problem. I'll buy them.

"No problem. When do I pay you?"

Yes. You are an adventurer. Then you'll need to pay up front in full, or have a guarantor. And the 70 million is just an estimate. It could go up or down.

The lack of trust in adventurers makes me weep, but I suppose it is a natural precaution in a profession where loss of life is not uncommon. It's too risky to make a down payment only to find out that the client is dead when the house is completed.

I understand. Here you go."

I'll give you 70 white gold coins.

"You made a quick decision. Most people think about it a little longer. You don't look so rich. ......Well, put the money away while I draw up the contract."

Well, I suppose that's true. I felt better when I thought about the price of the herbs. It's a price I can live with even if I fail.

"Okay. So how long will it take to complete?"

"Hmm. With an interior of this size and wood floors. I'd say 20 days.

Is it that fast?

A house takes months to complete. The bed I bought last time took ten days, and the house took 20. Obviously the math doesn't add up.

Hmm? Well, we have materials and our craftsmen are a bunch of dwarves. This is no big deal. It won't take long, especially since your order doesn't require any workmanship or decoration. I'll just be a moment while I draw up the contract."

That's a great fantasy. No, it's the dwarves that are awesome. This makes me wonder about elves and succubus.

"Oh, wait a minute. Can I buy the hardware for the two doors?"

"Hmm? Doors? I can buy it, but do you know the dimensions?"

Do you want us to provide a mobile base and have them install it for you? That's a bit of an overkill, maybe we should buy a bigger door and make the base fit the door.

As long as it's a single door and a large one, it's fine. The design should be modest.

After the order is placed, I see Jill walking away.

"Yuta! It looks like you're going to have a nice house. I wonder where my sister's room will be..."

(There is no room for Dineh in this house because it has only a few rooms. I told you we'll build a bigger house when it really becomes a sanctuary. (You have to be patient until then.))

"That's right. I'll have to tell Nomos to hang in there."

Nomos was burning up like he was going to make sake, so I think he's doing his best without being told.

Deanne is excited about what kind of house she and Dolly are going to build. But if you listen to her, she's saying some complicated things. Please don't tell me you're going to put a canal through the house to water the rooms. It sounds possible, but I'd rather have a normal house.

While I was passing the time by commenting on Deanne and the others' conversation and looking at Bell and the others, Jill came back. It took you quite a while.

"Thanks for waiting. Here's the contract. The price has gone up a little to 72 million elts including the door. Is that all right with you?"

No problem.

Sign the contract and pay the money. It was surprisingly easy to get a home of my own. In Japan, it's hard to even save up for a down payment.

......Yes, my hard-earned savings. What's going on? If this is going to happen, I should have just played with my savings to exhaust it. It damages my heart to remember the existence of my hard-earned savings. Remembering Japan is dangerous.

He manages to regain his composure and receives the door first. Since I might not be in the labyrinth city when the house is completed, I leave the store after asking the innkeeper of the torque to give me a message.

(I should take a peek at the furniture shop and go back to the inn.

I missed lunch. It's okay if the rest of us don't eat, but Belle and the others are looking forward to a meal, so we'll feed them as much as we can.

"Yes, that's right. Now that I know what you have in mind for the house, I'll help you find the right furniture.

That's good. I'll help you.

Deanne and Dolly are happily discussing. They seem to be having a lot of fun. Both of them must be quite old. ...... Even in other worlds, women may like shopping no matter how old they are, even if they are spirits. In a situation like this, the basic rule is to just shut up and leave it to them.

We head for the furniture store where we bought beds for me and Sarah. They didn't have beds, but they had a lot of furniture, so it should be fine.

We arrive at the furniture store and say hello to the lady. She remembers me since I've been here four times in a short period of time. Well, I think she remembers me since I ordered a lot of details when I bought my bed.

While I'm talking to her, Dine and her friends are looking for a good piece of furniture. And through me, the conversation between Auntie, Deanne, and Dolly began.

I thought it was basic to just shut up and let them do their thing, but in my case it was impossible. If I don't talk, the conversation doesn't go anywhere.

I asked her detailed questions not only about the items in the store, but also about what the craftsmen in the furniture shop could make and the materials they used, and by the time the conversation was finally over, it was almost sunset.

Auntie is still full of energy, but I've reached my limit. A guest comes in and we take a short break.

What ignites her fire is the woman's lively talk about furniture, and Dine and Dolly's eagerness to follow her. I just say the words of Deanne and Dolly like a robot.

It was a mistake to send the Belles out to play so long ago. It would have given me an excuse to cut this short because Belle and Dory seemed bored.

"I'm sorry for asking so many questions. I'll come and pick up the house when it's finished and make the furniture you ordered.

"Don't worry about it. You seem to be uninterested, but you ask sharp questions, so I enjoyed it too. If you need anything else, come back and buy it again.

"Yes. Thank you very much."

It was Dineh and Dolly who asked the sharp questions, though. You're not wrong about them not being interested. I had intended to be very enthusiastic about choosing the furniture for my own home, but the ladies' enthusiasm got the better of me.

I was just previewing what kind of furniture I was going to buy. Before I knew it, I had placed an order.

"That was fun!

"Yes. The lady was very informative and knowledgeable."

"Yes, of course. It was very helpful for us to make our room.

We return to the inn with a happy Dine and Dolly in tow. I can't wait to play with the belles and be pampered. Martha gives me a key and I head back to my room.

"Yuta. Welcome home.

"I'm home, Sylphie. Thank you for staying with Sara and the kids. Everything okay?

"Yes. He seemed to be having a good time. The rumor of Yuta had spread among the adventurers, and no one approached us for fear of being guarded by the spirits. When they noticed us, they moved away.

Since they actually have a large genie escort, they made the right decision to leave. After listening to Sylphy's story, we summon Belle and the others and play with them as much as we can to recover our energy. Now we can go back to work tomorrow.
