After registering Sarah and the others as adventurers, we return to the inn. I've taken them around a lot, so I need to get a room for them and let them rest.

"Oh. These must be the kids from the slums. What's going on?"

Before I can get a chance to talk, Martha dumps me with the next story. As usual, she's going at her own pace.

"Yes, yes. The reputation of the genie is so bad that I took him as an apprentice. I'm sure these girls will help you to change the bad reputation of the genie. You know these girls?

"Well, yes. I used to come to this inn sometimes to get leftovers. Well, you're lucky. This guest has a bad reputation, but he doesn't seem to be a bad guy, so good luck and take advantage of the opportunity."

I didn't know Sarah and the others had been taken care of. I remember you said you used to give them leftovers. Sarah and the others thanked Martha and pledged to do their best. She seems to miss him more than I do. Kikka is smiling and talking, too.

"Well, that's why I'm asking for an extra room. One night is fine."

"Aiyo."

I was told that I could have the recipe for free as a thank-you, but since I was causing so much trouble, I managed to get him to pay for the lodging.

"Good. Sara and the others must be tired. You can rest in your rooms until dinner. After dinner we'll have a little study for the necromancer.

"Okay." "Okay." (...... yeah)

You seem a little nervous. Well, they've survived in the slums. They'll get used to it. I'll get some rest.

"Sylphie. How are they doing?

"Wait a minute. Hmm. Looks like they're checking out the different stalls. He's totally into eating."

It's good that you enjoy eating. It doesn't seem to matter to the spirits about nutrition, but it must mean something because they laugh when they eat it and say it tastes good.

If they have been checking out the food stalls, they must be hungry and we should feed them before dinner. Let's summon Bell and the others.

I'm home! I'm home! I'm home!

Welcome home, everyone. Did you have a good time?

"It was fun. I had a lot of delicious food." "Coo-coo-coo." "I wanted to eat something." "Coo-coo-coo."

Each of them explains in unison what they liked. ...... I have no idea. I can understand Tulu's explanation somehow, but Rain. I can understand Tulu's explanation, but I can't understand Tamamo's words at all.

"I see you found something you like. Well, tomorrow we'll go back to the land of the dead and we'll buy a lot of things from the stalls.

Belle. RAIN. TUL. Tamamo started jumping around the room happily." I guess Belle's favorite food is soup because she's saying "Supu-supu" so excitedly. I wonder what kind of soup it is.

I calm them down and ask them what they want to eat today. After some discussion, they decide on a thick oak sandwich. It is comforting to see them hugging and eating their sandwiches with such relish.

By the way, do you want some for Sylphy? When I asked him if he would be interested, he said no. I guess it's hard to interest Sylphy with a normal meal.

"Well, I'm going to have dinner, so Belle and the others can relax in their rooms. When you finish eating, I need your help with something, please.

I leave Bell and the others in the room, pick up Sarah and the others, and go to the cafeteria. The diner is quiet as I enter. The atmosphere is the same as ever. I urge Sara and the others, who are puzzled, to sit down at a table.

"Is the new menu good for everyone? It's Neapolitan, which I learned from a customer."

Whoa. Neapolitan. That's exciting. That's my choice. I'll ask Sara and the girls if they want anything else.

"Sure. "Is there anything you guys want to eat?"

When I asked them, they all shook their heads, so I asked for a new menu. While we were talking about our plans and waiting for our meals to arrive, Martha brought in the Neapolitan.

Oh, it smells good. It looks quite similar to Neapolitan, but the pasta is flat, which is a little strange. Come to think of it, don't they have dried noodles? It's worth checking out.

"Hey, guys. You can eat. You can have another if you need more."

"Master. Can I have another one?"

I don't know if I can eat all of it, though, since the food at this inn is generally served in large portions. In fact, the Neapolitan is piled high.

"Yeah. But I'll make sure you eat well every day from now on, so there's no need to force yourself to stuff yourself. When you're full, stop."

I haven't been eating much in my life, so it would be bad for my health if I eat a lot all at once. At my words, Marco scoops up some pasta with a fork and bites into it. First of all, I have to teach him to turn the fork.

"No, no..."

"Marco. Don't talk with things in your mouth. It's bad manners. And don't take the pasta without turning the fork and rolling it up.

Marco nods in reply, probably because he still has some pasta in his mouth. Sara and Kikka, who have been watching, pick up forks and put pasta in their mouths.

As I watch them munching on their pasta, their faces turn into smiles. It looks like it suits your palate.

"Master. It's delicious.

Kikka, too, has told me what she thinks, though her voice is very faint. I think everything is going well. Food is great. Now I have to eat, not just watch.

I roll up the Neapolitan and take it to my mouth. ...... hmmm. The pasta itself has a tang. Maybe it's the quality of the tomatoes, or maybe I used too little sugar in the ketchup, or maybe it's not sweet enough. And since I'm used to Neapolitan pasta with dried noodles, not flat ones, it feels a little strange.

It's kind of a shame. But the oak meat is tasty, and I think the taste is satisfactory in total. But, I might want some cheese powder or Tabaco.

As I was checking the taste, I heard footsteps approaching.

"How does it taste? I've never had it, so I adjusted the taste by feel, but I don't think it's bad."

"Yes, it is. I've come a long way, so please keep in mind that my taste buds may be different.

We're not far from each other. We've lived on different planets. We have to consider the fact that there is a discrepancy in taste.

Hmm? Yes, it is. That's a possibility. Well, I'll give it a try and let you know what I think."

"Okay. I thought there was not enough sugar or sweetness in the ketchup, and the noodles should be a little thinner. It would also be good if you put powdered cheese on it, or add chili peppers to make it spicier.

"I see. Sweetness. Hmm. Cheese powder and chili peppers sound good, too. I'll ask my supplier about the thickness of the noodles.

With that, he went back to the kitchen, mumbling to himself. I think I'm going to stay up all night.

"Master. Did he teach you this dish?"

"Yes. My hometown food is rare here. Do you like it?"

"Yes. This is so good.

I feel like they respect me more than they did the Fire Dragon. I wonder if they are interested in cooking?

"I'm glad you liked it. You should eat a lot."

Sarah managed to eat as much as she could, and Kikka gave up after half of the meal. Marco finished his plate and the rest of Kikka's and seemed to be in pain. I told him not to overdo it.

We thank Martha for the food and give her feedback on the taste, and go back to our room.

"Yuta. Who is it? I don't know you.

When I entered the room, Belle and the others were curious to hear what I had to say. That's what happens when you let them go play before you meet Sara. Sara and the others looked at me puzzled, as if they could sense the presence of Bell and the others who had gathered.

"These girls are Sarah. Marco. Their names are Kikka. I've taken you on as my apprentice, so I'm looking forward to working with you all.

"Do you know..." "Kyu..." "Okay..." "Coo..."

Curious, the belles fly around Sarah and the others, observing them. Sara and her friends are getting more and more confused. I have some explaining to do.

"Sarah. Marco. Kikka. I know you can feel my presence. I wasn't just talking to myself. I'm introducing you to the spirits I'm contracted with."

"Master has made contracts with many spirits, hasn't he?"

"Yeah. I know you can't see them, but I'll introduce them to you.

One by one, I introduce them to Sarah and the others, explaining their names, attributes, and physical appearance. Belle and the others greeted each other with a "hello" or something, but I'm sure they didn't hear me.

"We won't do anything difficult today, so let's try to communicate with the spirits.

First, let's try a method of communication that I've been thinking about. If we can sense their presence, it should be possible. I will explain this to both Sarah and Belle.

"Since the Bells know the language, Sarah and the Bells should put their hands lightly in front of them and ask them some questions. If the Bells are high, move to the right hand, if they are low, move to the left hand, and if they don't understand, stay where you are.

BELLE. Rain. TUL. Tamamo waits excitedly, happy to have more people with whom she can communicate.

"Wow. That's interesting. I never thought of this as a way to communicate with spirits.

"Yeah? I'm just wondering why no one else has tried it, since I know you're out there. Some people can talk to spirits or see them, can't they?"

Anyone could come up with something like this.

"That's true, but since magicians basically keep their techniques secret and teach them to people who can only sense their presence, I wonder if it didn't become widespread. He is now working exclusively on spells. It's getting lost and confusing."

The necromancer has gone off in the wrong direction. Using difficult words is not understood, so there will be more misdirection. That makes sense. I'll tell Sara and the others not to tell anyone about the training so they don't get taken advantage of. If we're going to spread the word, we'll have to come up with some countermeasures.
