While thinking Dexter got near the door of little Tsubaki's House and he could hear silent sobs from the door. Feeling frustrated he opened the door silently and slid inside.
As soon as he went inside he saw a small shadow huddling in a corner with a teddy and sobbing. As the room was in dark and little Tsubaki was busy crying she and wasn't able to see him come inside. So he cleared his throat and said," Little Tsubaki, I am back."
There was silence in the room and little Tsubaki said, "O...O...On….ONiiiiii chan is that you?" Little Tsubaki said between her sobs.
"Of course it is me." Dexter said with a smile.
Then little Tsubaki came running to him and jumped into a hug and started to whale with full strength," Th…they said you died. They said no ... no one will....come to me... and play with me….. and I will be... left alone. They called me a demon. Onii chan am I a demon." Little Tsubaki said while crying her eyes out.
Seeing and hearing about little Tsubaki's encounter Dexter felt really frustrated. So he just took her in his embrace tried to make her feel secure.
"How could my little Tsubaki be a demon? She is a very sweet girl Isn't she?" Dexter said teasingly but she started to cry again seeing this he became awkward and tried to quieten her but she cried more loudly but after crying her she fell asleep in his embrace. So he quietly moved Tsubaki to her bed cleared her face of tear and snort with a soft napkin and tugged her in the futon.
Seeing her sleeping he felt good so he silently closed the door and went out he wanted to smoke right now.
"You did great, in handling the situation." Suddenly head Servant came out of the shadow.
Seeing him Dexter really didn't feel any surprised as he felt that someone was keeping an eye on him because of vast knowledge and practice in the assassination. This made him feel at ease, as he felt that he lost his touch when he wasn't able to feel the head butler and now if anyone tried to spy at him he would be able to feel it, so he was feeling secure at the moment.
"Do you have a cigarette?" Dexter asked the head Servant when he was close enough.
Feeling a little strange the head servant took out a pack and threw it at Dexter and Dexter caught it, took out a piece and threw it back, then the Head Servant threw a lighter and took out a piece for himself too and light it when Dexter threw the lighter back. They both stood side by side young and old smoking.
"Head you are my only relative in this place. It was you who picked me up from trash and made me who I am now and I am really grateful for all your support. But I think I want to live in the world and don't want to be just a servant." Dexter said smoking.
Hearing him the Head servant was silent for a few moments then said with a sigh," But what about the young lady?"
"You don't need to be worried about her, I will take her with me, when I go out" Dexter said quietly.
Releasing a long breath of smoke, the head servant said," Yeah take her with you, I don't think anyone would mind that. Recently there was the talk of her being sent to an orphanage but was ruled out because it was too dangerous and the worst thing was that it was started and supported the Master and Madam. "
Saying this sentence the Head Servant threw his cigarette and walked away from Dexter and Dexter stood on the same place while smoking and thinking more deeply about his plan.
After an hour and a half he heard an "Onii chan" and gave a smile turning around he found Tsubaki Chan standing at the door, at the verge of tears. So he smiled and said," oh my little Tsubaki is awake."
Seeing him smile little Tsubaki came running and jumped in his embrace and said, "I am sorry Onii chan for hurting you and you can leave me if you want."
Truly, when a child faces difficulties they grow up fast.
" You little Baka" Dexter said while knocking on her head with his fist, "I would never leave you unless you want to leave me or you leave me. Do you understand?"
Hearing this Tsubaki gave a smile through tears," Then, Onii Chan and I will be together forever." Giving a hearty chuckle she went into the house but as Dexter reached the door it was blocked by a bunny who was ready to jump and little Tsubaki was standing behind it with fear and it jumped as soon as Dexter reached the door, so he just dogged the bunny jump got hold of the bunny's head rotated it 360 degrees and the bunny disintegrated into lots of particles.
Seeing this Tsubaki was shocked and happy at the same time, so she came to Dexter and caught his hand and took him back to the house.
"Little Tsubaki look how dirty you have become? So I will heat up the water for your bath. Ok?" Dexter asked.
"Ok Onii Chan, I will take bath." Saying this she went in the bathroom but came out just a quickly with tears in her eyes and said," Onii Chan water is too cold."
Seeing her cute antics Dexter ruffled her hair and went into the bathroom to heat up the water. But was amazed to see his looks in the mirror. He had really forgotten to look in mirror although he knew how he looked from the memories of the previous owner but looking with his own eyes is a totally different experience.
He has dark black hair and pale skin with black eyes and white teeth. His face could be called handsome but will become better with the exercise. Seeing that he was the handsome young man he felt more at ease about his future.
So he started to heat up the water and adjust it to temperature good enough for a bath then got out of the bathroom. Seeing Dexter coming out Tsubaki came to him and went inside the bathroom with a chuckle but he still heard the sound of her stomach which suddenly stopped Tsubaki's chuckled and she closed the door with a red face. Although she is young, still she became mature because of all the events in her life.
Seeing her cute actions Dexter really wanted to pinch her cheeks but he still went to the kitchen and made an egg fried rice for both of them and when he came out of the kitchen he found Tsubaki sitting beside her plate. So he gave a smile served the dish they both ate their food with gusto and ate till everything was clean.
