Chapter 157

After school, Seo-jun and Anh Da Ho headed to Cocoa Entertainment.

“I was thinking of taking it home, but this worked out well. Let’s check out the scripts that came in last week and then go.”

“Okay!”

Seo-jun nodded at Anh Da Ho’s words.

As always, Seo-jun and Anh Da Ho went to Seo-jun’s practice room on the third floor.

When Anh Da Ho opened the door with his card, Seo-jun’s practice room with a wall of mirrors came into view.

“Wait here for a moment. I’ll bring the box.”

“Sure.”

Anh Da Ho went to the second team’s office, and Seo-jun sat down in the resting area on one side of the practice room.

“Juice. Juice.”

Seo-jun prepared juice for both Anh Da Ho and himself and sat on a chair.

He was about to wait for a while, when Anh Da Ho appeared with a box.

Anh Da Ho put the box on the floor and placed half of the papers in the box on the table.

Seo-jun’s eyes sparkled at the papers on the table.

Some days were more and some days were less, but on average, Seo-jun received five works.

Of course, they were the ones that had been filtered by the second team. But today, it looked like there were more than five at a glance.

“There are more than usual?”

“A lot came in last week. But this is only for today. It’ll be back to normal tomorrow.”

Why did it suddenly increase?

Seo-jun tilted his head and picked up the synopsis on top.

Anh Da Ho opened his mouth.

“It’s because of the acting video you filmed. All of these are works with that theme.”

“I see.”

Seo-jun knew well the influence of the acting video. It was a hot topic in Seo-jun’s fan cafe ‘From Sprout’ every day.

“They’re all very proactive.”

He didn’t expect such synopses to come out in less than two weeks since the video was released.

Anh Da Ho smiled.

“They can make big money if they catch it. Both big and small production companies are trying their best. There were also some directors and writers who sent synopses personally.”

What if there is no production company?

“Wouldn’t it be hard to make a movie then?”

Seo-jun blinked his eyes.

“It’ll be fine as long as you’re there.”

Anh Da Ho laughed at Seo-jun’s worry.

Director needed.

Production company needed.

Distributor needed.

Investor needed.

Actor needed.

For an ordinary writer who only had one script, these would be difficult mountains to overcome.

[Casting Lee Seo-jun completed.]

This one sentence was like a ‘deus ex machina’ that could solve all problems at once.

‘No, rather, they would be in a situation where they could choose what they liked from the overwhelming applications.’

“Don’t worry, just choose what you want to do.”

“Okay. I will.”

Seo-jun nodded to Anh Da Ho and read down the synopsis.

The contents were mostly similar, as they were works with the theme of Danjong.

He felt some works were similar to the movie Sejo from ten years ago.

“Compared to usual…”

The quality of the synopses seemed to be lower.

Seo-jun frowned slightly.

Anh Da Ho noticed what Seo-jun swallowed and opened his mouth.

“These are works that came after the video was released, so it took them from one day to ten days at most. They’re different from the usual synopses that they spent a lot of time thinking about. Even though we picked them carefully at the second team, this is it.”

“Hmm.”

Anh Da Ho smiled at Seo-jun’s dissatisfied face.

“There’s one work that the second team recommended.”

“Recommended?”

At that word, Seo-jun blinked his eyes and looked at Anh Da Ho.

The second team’s recommendation. There was never such a thing before.

“Yeah. They unanimously recommended this one as the best one if you’re interested in playing Danjong. Of course, you’ll know when you see the script too.”

“What is it?”

“It’s at the bottom of the box. Wait a minute, I’ll get it for you.”

Anh Da Ho quickly took out a pile of papers that was at the bottom of the box. Seo-jun’s eyes widened as he saw the script that Anh Da Ho handed him. It was not a thin synopsis like he had seen before, but a proper script.

“This is… a script?”

“It’s hard to prepare in ten days. That alone shows that this is different from the other synopses that were hastily made because of the recent issue. It’s a work that had been prepared for a long time.”

Seo-jun agreed with Anh Da Ho’s words.

Seo-jun lowered his eyes and looked at the first page of the script.

[Working title: Danjong]

[Director: Woo Jeong-han]

“Director Woo Jeong-han?”

Seo-jun knew that name. He was the director of the movie ‘Sejo’ that he acted in for the audition, and the movie ‘Jang Yong-yeong’ that he read while cleaning up his stuff, which starred Kim Jong-ho.

The master of historical movies, director Woo Jeong-han.

The production company and distributor columns under the director were empty.

The lead actors and supporting actors were the same.

Seo-jun tilted his head.

Woo Jeong-han was a director who had filmed with many actors.

There would be many actors who would appear if Woo Jeong-han called, but on the script, there was only,

[Danjong: Lee Seo-jun]

written.

“It’s director Woo Jeong-han’s work, but the production company and distributor are not decided yet. The actors too. Is there any problem?”

“Hmm.”

Anh Da Ho rolled his eyes and opened his mouth.

“Maybe it’s because they’re in a hurry?”

“Hmm. Maybe.”

“Don’t worry. If you star and director Woo Jeong-han directs, you’ll be able to find them in no time.”

Seo-jun nodded at Anh Da Ho’s words.

That’s right.

Director Woo Jeong-han, who always broke even and earned the trust of investors with every work he released, and superstar Lee Seo-jun, who created an enormous buzz and revenue with every work he appeared in.

Even a cautious investor would put out money as soon as they heard that combination.

Seo-jun nodded and turned to the next page to read the script.

***

He was having fun at Cocoa Entertainment when he got a call from his mom.

She said she had moved all the stuff, so Seo-jun and Anh Da Ho headed to their new home.

The way to the new home from Cocoa Entertainment was the opposite direction from the way to the old home.

He felt like he had really moved to a new home as he saw the unfamiliar scenery through the window.

Seo-jun felt that way, and so did Anh Da Ho.

“We’ll have to get used to this road now.”

“Yeah. I think this is my first time on this road.”

The car followed the unfamiliar road to the new home.

Seo-jun’s car entered the underground parking lot without any trouble, as if he had already registered his license plate number.

He pressed the button in the elevator at the unfamiliar parking lot.

His new house was on a higher floor than his old one.

After spending some time in the elevator, the door opened with a ding.

“You’re here, Seo-jun?”

His mom and dad, who were waiting in front of the elevator, greeted him.

Seo-jun smiled brightly.

“I’m back! Mom, did you move all the stuff?”

“Yes. All you have to do is clean and unpack.”

“Welcome, Mr. Da-ho.”

“Hello. This is a moving gift from Team 2.”

“Oh, thank you. Please tell them I appreciate it.”

Da-ho handed over the box he was holding to Lee Min-joon.

“Shall we go in then?”

“Yes!”

Seo Eun-hye opened the door of the new house.

The new house, with its shiny wallpaper and floor, welcomed Seo-jun.

The new house was bigger than the old one, so it felt a bit awkward, but he would get used to it soon.

Seo Eun-hye stood in front of the doors.

There were two doors, one with a sign that said [Seo-jun’s room] and the other with a sign that said [Seo-jun’s practice room].

“This is Seo-jun’s room. You’ve already brought your stuff here, so you just have to organize it.”

“Okay. Mom, my room is pretty.”

“Isn’t it?”

Seo-jun’s room, with its sky blue and white colors that were good for concentration and made it look spacious, looked neat at a glance.

Seo Eun-hye smiled proudly at Seo-jun’s words. She had been worried about it for a long time.

The new bed was big enough for him to use even when he became an adult, and so was the desk.

The room was bigger, so he had one more bookshelf.

As he looked around his shiny new room, Seo-jun saw a pile of brown boxes.

It was his own stuff that he had packed himself. Ugh. He sighed inwardly.

‘When will I sort all that out?’

As he roughly estimated where to put his dolls, Lee Min-joon called him.

“Seo-jun, this is your practice room.”

The room next to Seo-jun’s room was his practice room.

At Lee Min-joon’s words, Seo-jun’s eyes sparkled again. Practice room!

“Can I go in?”

The couple and Da-ho laughed at Seo-jun’s excited expression.

“Sure.”

Lee Min-joon opened the door of the practice room. Seo-jun’s cheeks turned red.

The practice room was similar to Cocoa Entertainment’s practice room.

One wall was entirely made of mirrors, so it was easy to check his hand and foot movements when he acted, and the floor was made of non-slip material.

There was also an air conditioner for comfortable practice, a small refrigerator and snack drawer, and a chair and table.

“Cool.”

What caught Seo-jun’s attention most was the cameras installed on all sides.

There were three movable cameras and cameras installed on the front, sides, and back.

There were also three monitors to check the recorded video.

“That’s awesome!”

“Seo-jun. Look at this.”

Seo Eun-hye called her son, who couldn’t contain his joy and rolled his feet. Seo-jun’s eyes shone like when he acted.

“What is this?”

“A remote control. It controls the camera position.”

As Seo Eun-hye pressed the button, the camera in front of the mirror started to move sideways.

Seo-jun lifted his head and saw that there was a rail on the ceiling where the camera was installed. The camera moved along the rail on the ceiling.

“Oh my!”

Seo-jun opened his mouth wide.

Da-ho, who was looking around the practice room behind the family, couldn’t close his mouth either.

“You can also adjust the height.”

As Seo Eun-hye pressed another button on the remote control, the moving camera stopped and slowly rose toward the ceiling. When she pressed another button, the camera slowly came down.

“You can also adjust the lens direction while watching the monitor.”

The camera lens turned in different directions according to Seo Eun-hye’s control. The image on the monitor also changed accordingly.

Ziiing-

Seo-jun felt like he was suffocating from the wonders of civilization.

His heart pounded and his body felt like floating.

“Oh my!!”

Seo Eun-hye and Lee Min-joon smiled broadly at Seo-jun’s flushed face.

They were glad they listened to the opinions of Director Ryan, who said it was good to buy multiple cameras, and the actors, who said it would be nice to have cameras on the ceiling like Jimmy’s house.

They probably couldn’t imagine that such a result would come out.

Da-ho also looked around Seo-jun’s practice room with a surprised face.

‘It would be nice to install them in the dance practice room too…’

The flashy movement of the camera was more suited for idols than actors.

The strange camera movement that changed from side to side and hit the head.

The so-called bal-ka (camera that looks like it was shot with a foot).

If he practiced while being filmed from all sides, he might be able to create a better image in the music show screen.

Da-ho, who was thinking for a moment, asked Lee Min-joon, who was looking at his son with a pleased face, about the camera installation company.

Seo-jun, who was running around the practice room, wanted to practice in this practice room right now.

‘My back when I act… Oh my. Oh my!!’

He had a script by chance.

Seo-jun’s eyes sparkled, and he held his heart that was pounding like a child who saw a new toy.

When his mom and dad poured cold water on him.

“Then let’s just look around for now and sort out your stuff first?”

“…Okay!”

Seo-jun answered with tears in his eyes.

It was a pity, but he had to sort out his stuff first.

He quickly erased his disappointed face, said goodbye to Da-ho, who was leaving, and headed to his room.

‘I have to sort it out quickly and practice!’

Seo-jun quickly sorted out his stuff. He diligently put the script on the bookshelf and quickly arranged the dolls.

The couple rolled up their sleeves and laughed at his fast pace.

Seo Eun-hye put Seo-jun’s clothes in the closet, and Lee Min-joon organized the DVDs, scripts, and books.

“Do you want to practice that much?”

“Yes! Thank you for helping me. Mom, dad.”

Seo-jun’s face shone brightly.

The couple felt even happier seeing their son sincerely liking the gift.

With the help of his parents, Seo-jun sorted out his stuff faster than he thought and headed to the practice room.

Lee Min-joon said to Seo-jun, who opened the door of the practice room.

“You have to eat dinner, so just do it for 30 minutes.”

“Okay!”

The couple burst into laughter at Seo-jun’s hasty answer.

“Is this this way…”

He controlled the camera position while watching the monitor.

The four cameras on the ceiling moved as Seo-jun thought.

He felt like he was a director as he controlled the camera.

The lenses of the four cameras pointed at Seo-jun, and he exhaled.

At that moment, Seo-jun’s mood changed.

He remembered the script he had seen today.

“Uncle.”

A faint voice echoed in Seo-jun’s practice room.
