"…What do you want from me, your majesty?" Faustina asked. "…I…" The king gulped after a lengthy pose. "I'm… sorry…"

His head bowed down as he uttered those words. Faustina then averted her gaze, not knowing what to say.

"I did something wrong." He said. "I don't know if you remember—"

"I do," Faustina exclaimed. "I remember."

The king stared at Faustina, who wasn't even looking at him now. She was still indifferent, and she didn't display any sign of wanting to see his face, even. It has been a week since she avoided him… and the king figured that it was justly, so.

"I see." The king then lowered his gaze. "I'm really sorry, Faustina."

"…about what?" Faustina probed.

"Huh?"

"What are you sorry for, Your Majesty?" Faustina asked. "Is it because I remember what you did?"

"No," the king denied. "It's…"

Silence.

"It's what?" Faustina challenged. "Are you really sorry?"

The king lifted his gaze now to say a word, but none came out of his mouth. She was looking at him with such hurt evident in her face.

"Why?" She murmured. "Why are you telling me you're sorry? What are you sorry about?"

There was no response. Faustina wanted to laugh.

And she was so ready to forgive him, too.

Faustina bowed at the king before taking her leave.

"Glory upon the Feuersturm Empire."

**

Faustina shortly returned to her room after that. She immediately buried her face into the mattress. There was nothing to do now. Faustina glanced at the communication orb—she was always talking to Michelle. Maybe she should talk to someone else now. Michelle, after all, said that Anakin and Leviticus both wanted to talk to her privately. The matter now is to choose which of them to talk to.

Faustina started with Leviticus. She then clicked the communication orb and contacted him. Without even a minute passed. Leviticus answered the communication orb.

"Faustina!" He exclaimed.

She smiled as she stares at Leviticus. This was what's nice with communication orbs—they're simple. Also… "Do you want to project?"

Leviticus seemed to be taken aback. Projecting one's image meant to copy the fragments of their being and then redistribute it as light magic in the other person's end. With that, Faustina can move around in Magierstadt as long as the communication orb is near.

"Sure," Leviticus said.

Faustina then lied on the bed to drift her consciousness around the orb. She ever used projection magic before, but in Magierstadt they were taught how to do it. Besides, she really wanted to take a breather—away from her very own thoughts and away from the king. And the best way to do that is to leave the place before she completely loses it.

**

Leviticus had been in Magierstadt for a whole while. He wasn't able to communicate with his mother, the queen of Atziluth—and it had worried him. Because the suspicion rising among the Zuerst and Zweitians is growing stronger each day. He heard that Zweite had cast a magical barrier so strong that it deflected communication. It seems to him, and to everyone, that Zweite had isolated itself from the world.

And it could mean more than simply protecting their territory.

The attacks happened all at the same time. Feuersturm, Eissturm, and the other countries surrounding the first continent were ambushed by the warlock generals. The forsaken had attacked so easily that the countries were exposed of being unprepared. But who would be prepared when the armistice have been long-established? Even the battlefront country, Verteidigerin, wasn't able to escape the chaos and turmoil brought upon by the generals.

The forsaken was clearly behind this… but the second continent was giving off signals that they might be aiding him, too.

"War is brewing," Anakin said. He was in the room with Leviticus, talking about what would become of them now. As students of Magierstadt, clearly they will be protected. But their home countries…

"Yeah," Leviticus could only answer.

"Now that we've talked about it, I wonder what country you're from," Anakin uttered.

Leviticus hasn't revealed to anyone he was the prince of Atziluth. So, he just smiled. "I'm just a wanderer."

Anakin seemed to be unsatisfied with the answer, but he let it go. "I wonder if Faustina's safe…" He said. "My father along with the others moved into the provinces because the capital and the royal city is no longer safe. Since Feuersturm is a large country, they'll be able to hide and recuperate…"

Anakin seemed to be down for the entire week, and he has been on the edge. It was a good thing that he was sharing his problems to Leviticus. That just meant that he really does treat him like a friend.

"Has your sister been found?" Leviticus asked.

Lilianne Disfiegro had gone missing. She was in the Feuersturm palace, which was burned and half-destroyed.

"No," Leviticus answered. "She's still missing. They said she might have been taken by the forsaken because of her beauty."

Leviticus doesn't know what to answer, because he never had any siblings. But worry was so evident in Anakin, and the bags under his eyes were the proof he hasn't gotten any sleep.

"The communication orb," Anakin said.

Leviticus then turned towards what Anakin was looking at—and there he saw it. The communication orb was glowing.

Someone was calling him.

"Who is it?" Anakin asked.

And as Leviticus touched the orb, "it's from Feuersturm."

The both of them then looked at each other.

"Faustina!" They said in chorus.

**

As Faustina opened her eyes, she now saw an unfamiliar room. It was unfamiliar, but the structure was the same as hers.

There's no doubt about it.

This is the sixth Ianua's dorm.

"Faustina," Leviticus said, walking towards her.

"Leviticus," Faustina said, "And Anakin…"

Anakin looked different. There were deep, dark circles under his eyes and his hair was slightly disheveled. He looked presentable enough, but he had lost weight.

"How are you both?" Faustina asked. "Are you both alright?"

Leviticus nodded, "I'm fine."

Faustina then turned to Anakin, "are you alright, Anakin? You've lost weight… and you look like you haven't been getting enough sleep." Faustina remarked.

Anakin only smiled at her.

"I'm alright," he said. "It's just that… Lilianne is still missing."

Faustina froze on her spot.

Lilianne—

She then remembered what happened in the Feuer castle. Lilianne's body was occupied by one of the warlock generals, L.u.s.t. She stared at Anakin, who seemed to have been worrying about his sister, and the evidence has been speaking loud and clear now.

"She's…" Faustian muttered, "I hope she'll be found soon."

She lowered her gaze and clenched her fist. For sure she wouldn't be able to tell Anakin. It will only—

"How's the duke and the duchess? Your brothers?" Anakin asked.

Faustina smiled. "They're alright. We're all safe."

Whenever she would use the communication orb, her appearance will be glamoured. They wouldn't be able to tell the difference because she was practically just a projection. Faustina hadn't heard from the duchess, Lucas, and Bethrion, but the duke had told the king there was nothing to worry about.

She turned towards Leviticus.

"Should we walk around the dorm?" Leviticus asked. "For sure everyone wants to meet you."

--

Ezekiel Unsterblich have been restless. He was stuck to his room, reading passages and books that was linked to the past—about the great war, the warlocks, and the forsaken. Before, this did not interest him. But as he reads, the more he was being drawn to the book of the prophecy.

The prophecy…

Clairvoyants were the one who have foreseen the prophecy. It dated back many years ago—exactly as the armistice had taken place. The clairvoyants saw a catastrophe never seen before, and a world the was ridden with plagues and death. They said it was the redemption of the warlocks, something that will happen in the near future.

But no war has broken even after that.

Until now.

Ezekiel clenched his fist. At this rate, everyone will be in danger if the prophecy did occur now. And it most likely will.

'This is not our battle, Ezekiel!'

His mother's words resonated in his mind. Of course; Magierstadt isn't affiliated with Zuerst nor Zweite, as it have been many years ago. Magierstadt wasn't involved in any war, as it is an independent country. Ezekiel thinned his lips. What else is going to happen now? Faustina is not safe in Feuersturm, which is the country that was first attacked by the forsaken, and the country of the one who had led the great war to be conquered by the first continent.

Ezekiel sighed. Maybe he need to take a breather and walk around. He had secluded himself in this room enough.

And so, Ezekiel stealthily slip past through the island and went to Magierstadt. There was no student in sight, so he walked around on his own. The sauntered past the garden, and then went towards the place that was his comfort.

The tall tree.

He then sat under the tree, and then thought about her.

The compelling reason of him caring for things that doesn't even concern him.

"Faustina," he whispered her name as he stares at the moon.

"I miss you."
