During dinner the next day, Lu Feng “passingly” said, “I heard that Du Wan’s sick again. Tell Yan Zhi when you go hang out with him again to persuade Du Wan not to just silently endure if his body can’t hold up anymore.”

“Ok,” responded Cai Youyang. “But you can’t stand him, right? And yet you seem so concerned for him now.”

Lu Feng spoke, “He’s our consultant, after all. How can work be done if he’s in such poor health?” When he said “poor health,” he shot Cai Youyang a glance.

Cai Youyang nodded. “You’re right.”

And so, Lu Feng entered a very good mood.

Cai Youyang had yet to react. He only thought about how Lu Feng and Du Wan’s relationship had finally improved. Now he and Yan Zhi didn’t have to worry about contradictions between them. But later on, Lu Feng kept telling him that Du Wan was always ill. He felt that something was wrong.

Cai Youyang secretly asked Yan Zhi whether something was wrong with Du Wan’s health.

Yan Zhi even “bah”-ed three times. With a glare, he rolled his sleeves and said, “Who the fuck is starting rumors?”

Cai Youyang naturally couldn’t betray his boyfriend. Thus, he had to vaguely reply, “Just heard of it from other people. I must have misunderstood.”

“Lu Feng?”

Cai Youyang shook his head frantically. “No.”

Yan Zhi appeared skeptical. “I don’t know where you could’ve heard of it. These people sure are amazing.”

Cai Youyang said, “Sorry, sorry. I wish you two a harmonious relationship lasting a hundred years. I have to go ahead first.”

Yan Zhi grabbed him, wanting to ask who was the one who said Du Wan wasn’t good. But Cai Youyang thickened his skin to free himself from his grip, said a few words, and then hurried away.

In the evening, when Lu Feng came home from work, Cai Youyang complained in half-truths and half-lies that Lu Feng had misled him.

Lu Feng didn’t say a word.

Cai Youyang stared at his face. “I’m just kidding. Are you angry? I know you meant well…”

“No.” Lu Feng lowered his gaze. Cai Youyang walked over and sat on Lu Feng’s lap, cupping his face. A rare thing coming from him.

“What’s the matter with you?” Cai Youyang muttered.

Lu Feng’s face was taut, and his eyes were somewhat shifty. Cai Youyang became more and more curious. With the tips of their noses basically touching, he whispered, “Is there something you can’t tell me?”

Lu Feng’s expression showed his compromise and helplessness, but it was more evident that he also felt embarrassed. “I lied to you.” Afterward, his large hands wrapped around the back of Cai Youyang’s head and pressed his face into his shoulder. “Don’t look at me,” he said. “Not good to look at.”

Cai Youyang’s nose bumped into Lu Feng’s shoulder, and his mouth was pasted onto Lu Feng’s collarbone. His mouth and nose were both smothered in Lu Feng’s scent. In his chest, his heart violently jumped and pounded.

A Lu Feng who was different from the past.

A Lu Feng who showed his soft side to him.

A mysterious “auntie” smile appeared on Cai Youyang’s face. Adopting the tone he often used to ask the children in his class, he said, “Why did you do that?”

Lu Feng took a deep breath and kissed the back of Cai Youyang’s head. While Cai Youyang pitied him, he also felt that he could grasp Lu Feng’s handle this time and secretly rejoiced.

With a voice as sweet as honey, Cai Youyang coaxed, “You don’t have to hide anything from me.”

Lu Feng finally reacted. He stroked the back of Cai Youyang’s head and said, “Jealousy blinded my heart.”

Cai Youyang was momentarily stunned. “What are you jealous of Du Wan for? He has what you have, and he doesn’t have what you have.”

“What he doesn’t have?” asked Lu Feng.

“Me.”

Lu Feng: “…”

All of a sudden, Lu Feng stood up. Startled by the feeling of weightlessness, Cai Youyang hugged Lu Feng like an octopus. “What’s wrong?” he asked in a low voice.

Lu Feng didn’t say a word, only straightforwardly carrying him into the bedroom.

It was only when Cai Youyang was thrown onto the bed and pressed down that he realized what Lu Feng wanted to do.

It was of course to—

Fuck him.

Cai Youyang didn’t know which of his words had caused Lu Feng to misunderstand their meaning until after their intense session. His boyfriend power was off the charts. How could Lu Feng still go round after round with a melancholic yet moved expression?

Obviously, under normal circumstances, it should be Lu Feng who dedicated himself to him!
