Sheng Ruming placed the phone on the table. Then he turned towards her and asked, "How was today? Did you enjoy the office time?"
Luo Lixi smiled and nodded her head. Sheng Ruming raised one corner of his eyes and decided not to mention this matter further.
"What will you eat?" He remembered Luo Lixi had written that she was exhausted and hungry.
Luo Lixi had already forgotten the fact that she didn't have anything in her tummy.
Due to the matters at hand, she forgot her hunger. She felt like her appetite wasn't good enough thus she replied slowly, "Anything is fine."
Sheng Ruming creased his forehead when he heard it. 'Everyday, when I ask her, she would always answer with a string of names. Now she is saying anything?!'
Luo Lixi saw he was quiet. She hesitated a little then said, "You don't need to prepare our food everyday. You are so busy with your work. I think you should hire someone to prepare the meals from now on."
Sheng Ruming stared at her face for a moment. Then the man stared ahead as he nodded. "You don't like my cooking anymore after you have had something outside with that woman. I understand."
"It's not like that. Just that, today, I have seen how much you have to work in the company." Luo Lixi was very worked up when he saw disappointment in his eyes.
"Also, you have been preparing our breakfast and dinner everyday after we have come here. So, I think you should at least get some time for relaxation."
"Ohh." Sheng Ruming got up and went inside the kitchen without saying anything further. Luo Lixi also stood up and followed him there.
When she saw him taking out several ingredients from the freezer, she spoke out, "Why don't you rest for a bit? I will make dinner today…"

"Why don't we order something then?" Luo Lixi asked. Sheng Ruming placed the cabbage on the copper when he heard that.

Today, when she was revising the files, Luo Lixi realised he had been doing a ton of work even though he had been returning to the penthouse around 4pm or 5pm, sometime, even coming back around noon. Now, she wanted to give him some time to have for himself.
Sheng Ruming was at a loss. He dropped the knife on the copper and stared at her as his head was tilted at a side.
"If you don't know where to call, why are you insisting on ordering some food from outside which can be unhygienic?!"
Luo Lixi looked down as she scratched her head. "Umm… stop wasting time on these trivial things. From tomorrow, don't make anything for me."
Sheng Ruming shrugged when she said that. "Alright. I can't ask anything more if you think like that…"
Sheng Ruming directly walked away. He was pissed off by her words. 'Now, she doesn't even want to eat the things I make. Good, very good. My energy won't get wasted anymore…'
"Uh, Ruming, those…" Luo Lixi trailed off but stopped when she saw him walking inside his study. She put her hands around her hips and walked in.
Then she took the cabbage in her hand and flinched. "Off! Too cold…" Hurriedly, she took the things and put them in the freezer. Afterwards, she blew air on her fingers.
"Cold! Cold! Too cold!" The weather was turning cold day by day. Luo Lixi always felt like the cold things were too bad for her to handle.
She hastily turned on the stove and put her hands on the air above it. Then slowly, she rubbed her two hands against each other.
After two minutes, she went before his study room and knocked at the door gently. "Ruming, hey. Can I come in?" She asked softly.
"Come." When Luo Lixi got the consent of him, she opened the door and put her head between the cracking of it to see where he was.
Sheng Ruming had many books in his one hand and currently he was looking through the books on the shelf anxiously. His face was tensed as if he couldn't find the right book he needed.
Luo Lixi slowly walked beside him and asked, "Are you looking for the book with the red cover?" His fingers stopped and he turned towards her.
All the other books fell on the floor when he heard that.
The man stiffly turned his whole body towards her and gripped her shoulders and asked, "Have you already seen…" Sheng Ruming stopped when he saw her clueless face.
"I took that to read when I was bored. But didn't read that much. Later, I forgot to place it on its place. Sorry…" Luo Lixi replied awkwardly.
"Bring it to me."
"Alright." As Sheng Ruming took back his hands, she hastily walked out of the room. Later, she returned with the book.
"Here..." Sheng Ruming literally snatched the book from her hands and walked towards the study desk.
Luo Lixi was bewildered when she saw him frantically searching the book to find something.
As time went by, his face was turning worried as he kept turning the page. Then he abruptly flapped the book and lifted it in midair.
Even after yanking it for several times, nothing fell. Luo Lixi began to worry when she saw what he was doing.
"What are you looking for?!" Luo Lixi hastily walked towards him, "Is it something important? Should I help you to find it?"
As Luo Lixi asked, he dropped the book on the desk and banged his fist on it. His anger was visible all over his face.
Now, Luo Lixi began to panic. 'Have I accidently lost something important?' She silently stared at him and thought, 'But I didn't find anything though…'
Sheng Ruming abruptly turned towards her and asked, "Have you seen any white folded page?"
Luo Lixi shook her head. Then she asked, "Was it very important?"
Sheng Ruming kept quiet and then shook his head, "...Not so important."
Luo Lixi saw as he turned his back at her and sighed. 'It isn't looking like though.'
Sheng Ruming took the book from the desk and then patted it. Then he went to put it along the other books. "Let's go. I will search for it another time."
Sheng Ruming took hold of her hand and dragged her outside. "At least tell me what was on the page. If I find it, I will keep that for you."
"Just a simple, white, folded page." Sheng Ruming tried to control his sadness as they exited the room together. Then, the man went to the sofa and picked his phone to dial a number.
Luo Lixi heard as he ordered dinner for three people. When he ended the call, she chirped in, "Hey, we are only two people. Why did you order for three? We won't be able to finish them all. Or, you're too..."
Sheng Ruming tugged one corner of his lips. "You will see when the takeout arrives." The man patted her face and went to sit down.
After thirty minutes, a call came from the receptionist from downstairs. She was asking Sheng Ruming if he had ordered for takeout food.
As he answered yes, the receptionist felt like she was really witnessing something incredulous.
When the call ended, she turned at the takeout boy and motioned him to enter. When the guards let him in, he called the number from which the order came.
"Just come to the 20th floor." As the man heard, he started to walk towards the lift. After he arrived on the 20th floor, he glanced around the floor.
Then the door of the penthouse opened and Sheng Ruming walked out.
"Sir, your takeout…" Sheng Ruming took the boxes and paid the bill. The boy saw from the corner of his eyes that a beautiful lady was seated on the sofa.
She was watching the TV while her fingers were playing with the remote control. When Sheng Ruming saw him staring at his woman, he gave him a cold stare.
Afterwards, the angry man closed the door on the boy's face and shut it with a bang. "The food has arrived?" Luo Lixi stood up and went to him.
"Hmm." Sheng Ruming answered as he went to place them on the dining table.
Then, Luo Lixi brought a few plates from the kitchen and placed them on the dining table. Then, both of them put the contents from the boxes to the plates.
"Eat." Sheng Ruming told her as he finished unpacking everything. Luo Lixi sat down and waited for him to sit beside her.
"Now that I am watching these things, I really think that it's okay for two people." She nodded her head. The woman even praised the man for his foresight.
"I told you already. People don't eat like you."
"You are saying as if I would gobble down everything." Luo Lixi snorted and then laughed. She couldn't help but flash her rarest smile to him.
"Aren't you famished? Eat now." Sheng Ruming went to put more food on her empty bowl. Luo Lixi rounded her eyes when the bowl started to become filled until some food was on the verge of dropping.
"Stop. Don't give me anymore." Luo Lixi caught his hand and hurriedly said. She didn't want to see a little mountain on her bowl.
After Sheng Ruming took back his hand, she shifted some to his plate.
"We should always share good things with others." Sheng Ruming saw as she put half of her bowl's food to his empty bowl.
The man shook his head when she started to dig in, not holding back anymore.
Luo Lixi was holding back earlier. Now that her food was before her, she didn't stop and care for anything and started to eat as if it would fly away.
