"Are you okay?!" Sheng Ruming asked as he watched Luo Lixi closely. She closed her eyes tight and then took deep breaths. The man became worried sick.
"You're not good. We should go to the hospital!" As soon as he said that, he picked her up and was ready to carry her away.
"No! Today is our wedding reception! How can we just go to a hospital?! Everyone will turn worried for no reason!" Luo Lixi yelled out in her suppressed voice.
Thus, after contemplating for a while, Sheng Ruming decided against his thoughts. He hugged her tightly from the front and whispered, "Don't take stress. Tomorrow, we will go to the Ailin hospital, okay?"
"Hmm." After several breaths, she opened her eyes and everything became visible again. Luo Lixi sighed in relief. She turned to him and pecked on his cheek. "It's fine. You let me go. I want to sit down."
Sheng Ruming agreed and immediately helped her to sit down. He went ahead and collected the boxes and put them in a corner of the bed. She also grabbed a handkerchief out of her purse and began to wipe her sweats.
Noticing this, the man closed the windows and turned on the air conditioner. In a few moments, Luo Lixi got comfortable and closed her eyes to take a rest. She was still worried about her eyes. While she was resting, she thought, 'Hopefully there won't be any problem with me, right?'
Right then, someone knocked at their door. Luo Lixi gently opened her eyes and saw the young man staring at her back, not moving an inch.
"Someone has come." Luo Lixi weakly said.
"Hmm." Sheng Ruming replied but didn't do anything either. Luo Lixi frowned but the man shifted beside her. He began to wipe her forehead with a tissue even though there wasn't any sweat anymore.
"... You." Luo Lixi swatted his hand away and wanted to get up but a woman's voice rang out which stopped her.
"Young master, I have come to deliver refreshments for you and young madam." A maid said.
"Enter." Sheng Ruming replied.

Then the maid came in with a tray and another followed her. When they realised that the couple was on the bed, they didn't dare to lift their heads.
The following one went ahead and picked up the tea table in Sheng Ruming's room. Then she placed it in front of him. Then she turned aside and began to pick up the plates and bowls from the tray and carefully placed them on the table.
Afterwards, the one with the tray said politely, "We will be standing outside. If Young Master or Madam needs anything, just call us."
"Hmm." Sheng Ruming barely replied.
After they left, Sheng Ruming turned to her. However, Luo Lixi didn't pick up anything and closed her eyes tightly. If he didn't know it clearly, he would have thought she was already asleep.
"Lixi." Sheng Ruming called out.
"Hm?" Luo Lixi answered without opening her eyes.
"Have something?" Sheng Ruming said as he picked up the glass of water and tried to feed her but Luo Lixi took it and drank by herself.
Right after she became quiet and didn't move a bit. She leaned against him and closed her eyes again. This time she said to him, "Don't disturb me."
"Fine." Sheng Ruming replied. Thus Luo Lixi closed her eyes and began to take a rest but after several seconds, she opened her eyes and sat up.
"I can't rest anymore. I was in the car for so many hours…" Luo Lixi said aggrievedly.
The young man nodded. He turned towards the tray and spotted the two bowls with black liquids. He picked one and gave it to her.
"What's this?" She asked.
"Tonic…" Sheng Ruming's voice was nearly inaudible as he said. "Some kind of energy tonic I guess? After you drink this, we will leave."
Luo Lixi became silent and glanced at him. Looking at his serious face, she reluctantly raised the little bowl to drink. As soon as she drank a little, her whole face distorted into a frown.
"It's so spicy…" Luo Lixi murmured and cried out in her mind, 'I am good now. Why do I have to drink this shiet?!'
But when Sheng Ruming drank his, he finished the whole bowl in one shot. Then, he said with doubt, "It's sweet. No?"
Luo Lixi insisted, "It's spicy! My throat hurts when I try to take a sip. I won't drink this tonic!"
She placed down the bowl and turned her face away. Sheng Ruming spoke out after a while, "But it's not spicy. Don't lie and drink it obediently."
When she turned around, she saw he was holding her bowl. As if to show her, he drank a little in front of her.
"I know you hate medicine." The man murmured with a knowing look.
"I didn't lie…" Luo Lixi snatched the bowl from him and drank a bit. In the next moment, her face creased into a twisted expression. "You are lying!"
Sheng Ruming frowned. Looking at his face, she knew that he wasn't actually lying. Nonetheless, she drank the tonic in one large gulp and put it down hurriedly. Then, she drank his glass of water too.
Sheng Ruming stood up and then turned towards her, "Let's go out now. I will show the villas and the area. There is also an artificial pond. You will surely like it."
As he was saying with a smile, Luo Lixi nodded. She picked up a sweet and placed it in her mouth while standing. "Let's go."
Luo Lixi followed him and walked out of the room. But halfway through, they encountered Aunt Lin.
The old woman glanced at them and knew at a glance that the couple was going out. Thus, without wasting time, she said, "Young Madam, the guests will be coming in a moment. I have come to remind you and help you dress up."
"Oh." Luo Lixi nodded. "Let's go in then."
Aunt Lin smiled when she saw her going to Sheng Ruming's room, "Not in the Young Master's room. Madam has prepared another room for you. All the necessary things are there for you, Young Madam."
Thus, Luo Lixi followed Aunt Lin. Sheng Ruming also did but after a while, he left because Luo Lixi was preparing to dress up.
Aunt Lin and with the help of the other two maids, Luo Lixi got ready. Dawn came by the time they were done.
Looking at the things Wei Airan had prepared for Luo Lixi, nobody would say she was her daughter in law. Not even real daughters would get such things and privilege from their mother-in-law.

As soon as Luo Lixi went beside the stairs of the second floor, she heard the voices of several people. When she looked down, she saw several ladies were on the sofa area of the first floor, sitting there and chatting nonstop.
But it looked way too noble in her eyes. The way they were laughing in a suppressed way, made her sad and stifled somehow.
Among them, she saw many familiar faces such as Feng Ahnian and Chen Baishi. Luo Lixi hesitated and then turned towards Aunt Lin, "Is it time? Should I go down now? Is my outfit perfect?"
Aunt Lin nodded. She had personally picked Luo Lixi's dress, shoes and jewellery. A green long gown with golden outlines, many crystals on the chest which made little flowers, golden coloured high heels, little red jade earrings, normal queen hairstyle with her hairs tied into a bun.
Even though Aunt Lin wanted to take off the simple chain with a ruby locket, Luo Lixi refused. But looking at the finishing look, the maids and she was happy.
Aunt Lin thought, 'Hopefully Madam will like it.'
So after getting the confirmation, Luo Lixi began to walk down slowly. After she got down from the 2nd floor, she went straight towards the people with a calm, firm and sincere face.
When Chi Bainian saw her, she stopped talking and turned towards Wei Airan who was busy talking with Chen Baishi. She said, "Airan, your new daughter in law is here."
Wei Airan and Chen Baishi stopped whispering among themselves and simultaneously turned towards Luo Lixi. People glanced at Luo Lixi with curious and judgemental eyes. Nonetheless, Luo Lixi greeted them respectfully, "Good evening, everyone. I am Luo Lixi."
Chi Bainian turned her face away. There was a kind of stiffness when she gazed at Luo Lixi. Feng Ahnian saw her mother and her eyes fell on Luo Lixi.
"Come, Lixi. Sit down. All the people here are our close friends and relatives." Wei Airan said with a smile.
And thus, Luo Lixi nodded and proceeded to sit down but right at that time, the door of the villa opened and a woman strolled in. Luo Lixi didn't sit and looked towards there subconsciously.
