Chapter 54: 54 Darkness.

At last, she thought to check on him what he was doing for so long and if it was something urgent, she would bring the food to his room so that they could eat together.
When she knocked at the door several times but didn't get any reply in return, she became impatient. So the intolerant woman fumbled with the knob of his door and surprisingly it unlocked with a click sound.
Pushing the door slowly, she entered her head to check the room but she didn't see him.
Sheng Ruming's room was very big in space. When someone enters the room, they will only be able to see one-third of it. Only after entering and standing in the middle, one would be able to see the whole place.
As Luo Lixi made her footsteps light, she made her way in the room. She observed his room from one corner to another. There was also a working desk placed at the window side but it was four times larger than the one in her room.
Some files were placed on top of it in a neatly fashion. As she walked up to it, she saw a little shelf at another corner. It was full with many books. Her unruly mind immediately became interested in what kinds of books the man reads. She sprinted there.
In her moment of ignorance, the carpet got stuck in one of her foot as she slipped abruptly and fell on the floor with a thud.
'Argh! What a bad luck I have!' She hissed in annoyance as her hands attempted to lift herself from the floor.
Luckily the whole ground was wrapped in soft carpets so she didn't get any injuries from the fall earlier.
But when she lifted her head, the scene she saw, was something she couldn't forget in a long time.
The man she was searching, was sitting on a sofa in a leisure manner. The scene would have been a perfect heavenly picture for a woman to admire only if he wasn't naked on the upper body. Well, it was more divine now.
Luo Lixi was about to scream in surprise but hurriedly covered her mouth with a hand.
Now she regretted coming into his room without further thinking. It was his room so if he put on clothes or not, it shouldn't be her concern.
She lowered her head as she was retreating backwards on the floor with her feet but couldn't help peeping at him. The white skin, the curves on his board chest made her mind to go astray.
'He is hot though!' When this thought crossed her mind, she blushed in shame. Covering her red face with her hands, she turned her body from side to side. This time she didn't mind if the floor was dirty or not.
Amidst her rolling on the ground, she failed to notice the man had woken up because of her actions. As Luo Lixi noticed that he was still asleep, she calmed down her shameless heart and started to retract backwards.
Sheng Ruming quietly saw her childish behaviour and a smirk appeared on his face. After the short nap, he felt much better as the pain was no more there. His body became sweaty while he was sleeping without turning the air conditioner. But after he saw the woman, his face had a mischievous glint. He remembered something as his head slowly turned aside and saw the light controller of the room. He took it in his hand while he had a bad intention.
When Luo Lixi was nearly at the door, her surroundings became dark. She flinched in as she tried to make heads out of this situation. She looked around the room but it was pitch black as all the light inside the room was turned off but she thought it was load shedding.
As she slowly turned around and tried to stand up, but her feet were obstructed by the working desk.
'Ruming is there. Will he be alright?'
Luo Lixi mulled in worry for the man in there. But suddenly every hair on her body stood on their end as she became still like a statue.
Even if it was dark all around her, she sensed someone was approaching her. Suddenly the scenes she saw in horror movies flashed in her mind. She couldn't help trying to crawl away but her body was lifted from the floor abruptly by two cold hands .
"Ahhhh!" She screamed at the top of her lungs but in the middle, her mouth was covered by someone's rough lips. She was frightened to death earlier. The thought that it could be Sheng Ruming didn't cross her brain due to her panic.
Even if it was the twenty-first century, the fear of ghosts didn't go away from people's minds.
Luo Lixi hung on the man's body like a koala. Her hands were wrapped around his neck while the legs were around his waist. In her fear, she tightened her grip around the other person's neck. It was so firm that he had difficulty to breath let alone his plan to kiss her. At last he broke away and spoke up in apprehension.
"Lixi, It's me. Don't be afraid. Lose your hands a little. You are suffocating me." Sheng Ruming told her as he tried to lose her hands around his neck but had no intention to release her from his grip.

"What's wrong? Are you crying?" He walked up to his bed in anxiety. Before, he just wanted to catch her off guard but didn't expect to receive such a reaction. Also, earlier the controller was knocked out by her leg from his hand.
He wanted to search it to turn on the lights but how could he when she refused to come down. Thus he walked straight and reached the bed. He sat down on it while Luo Lixi refused to budge.
"Don't cry. Ain't I here with you? Why are you crying?" He tried to pat her back but when he moved, her body twitched a little and shifted on top of his dangerous place. If she moved a little bit more, he didn't know what kind of embarrassing thing would happen next.
