For a second time, Sheng Ruming had to stop in his steps and he didn't like that.
On one hand he was so anxious for Luo Lixi that he was dying to see her, to hug her, to feel her and on the other hand he had to stop to answer the old lady. He knew Luo Lixi was safe and sound in his villa but his heartfelt restless. Moreover, it would take several hours for him to reach that villa. He wanted to depart from here as soon as possible.
Even if Sheng Ruming didn't like it, he wasn't that of a rascal to ignore the old woman. She was only concerned about his mother and her feelings.
"Grandma Lin, it's not like I don't want to see Ma but she is sleeping now. Moreover, you know she doesn't like if someone disturbs her in her sleep. Also, she slept so late last night. So I don't think you should wake her up. So I can't meet her now."
Aunt Lin became quiet. She couldn't refute what he said. Wei Airan would become extremely angry if someone woke her up from her sleep. But...then she would be sad if she missed seeing her son before he went away. The old woman thought something as she lifted her head and asked him.
"When will you go abroad?"
"Tonight."
"Tonight…" Aunt Lin contemplated for a few seconds when she remembered what Wei Airan told to her yesterday before she went to her room.
"Aunt Lin, I think Ruming will wake up late. But by any chance, if he rises early and wants to go away, you must stop him at any cost or wake me up. I won't mind or become angry at you. I want to bid him goodbye before he goes." The thoughts spun in her mind. Sheng Ruming smiled when he saw her in a daze. He turned around and started to walk towards the door.
When aunt Lin saw he was already at the gate, one step away from stepping outside, she screamed loudly.
"STOP!" Sheng Ruming turned towards her. Bewildered by her. His eyes were filled with amusement because of her earlier sudden outburst.
Nonetheless, he chuckled and asked, "What's wrong? Did my mother instruct you on something to do before I go away?" He knew there should be something.
Sheng Ruming waited patiently for the elderly to say something but what happened next surpassed his imagination.
"Grandma Lin, careful!"
Aunt Lin didn't hesitate any longer and sprinted towards the stairs, ran to the direction of the master bedroom. She didn't care if something happened to her. She was not like the typical servants who were fragile like some doll papers. She was strong and full of energy even in that old age.
'Do women like running and sprinting nowadays instead of walking…'Sheng Ruming remembered Luo Lixi also runs like a rabbit and it's very frequent. Because of it, she fell and underwent a shameful incident in Sheng Ruming's room back then. Whenever Sheng Ruming thought about that, his earlobes would turn red in embarrassment.
After arriving before the room of the Sheng couple, she hesitated a little. There was also Sheng Haotin in the room. Also she thought it's not a good behaviour to knock on the door so early in the morning, disturbing the couple.
Nonetheless, she gently knocked at it several times in a row while speaking in a low tone. Even if Wei Airan didn't wake up, her husband would definitely get up.
"Madam, please wake up. Young master has already woken up and will go away in a given minute." Aunt Lin knocked several times but there was no response. She anxiously knocked a few more times and stopped doing that after some minutes.

Only the table lamps beside the bed were turned on. The couple was sleeping soundly. Wei Airan was wearing her silk nightgown. For a night of better sleep, she always wore an eye mask. For that reason, even the morning sun couldn't wake her up.
The knocks on the door couldn't break her deep sleep but Sheng Haotin woke up by the sound. When he heard aunt Lin knocking, he immediately sat up and nudged her from the side.
"Airan, aunt Lin is calling you." He shook her for a few times but Wei Airan became irritated.
"Don't disturb me so early. Let me sleep for a few more minutes." She turned aside and started to sleep again.
"Ruming will go away. Won't you see him?" Sheng Haotin wanted to take away the blanket but she clutched it very hard.
"I will see him another day."
"You will regret it." Sheng Haotin told her as he stood up from the bed and turned on the lights. He walked to the door and opened it. Aunt Lin was relieved when she saw him. But when she didn't see Wei Airan coming out from the room, she shot a questioning look towards the man, he sighed and gestured to her to enter. Aunt Lin immediately understood Wei Airan didn't get up from the bed.
Aunt Lin hurriedly went beside the bed and tried to wake her up. "Madam, young master is waiting for you at the door. He told me he will go abroad tonight. If you don't go to see him now, you can't probably see him after a long time." This time Wei Airan sat up at once.
"What?!...tonight?! But he didn't tell me he would go away tonight. I wanted to give him some things…" She sat up, removed the eye mask and threw it away.
In a fluster, she hurriedly stood up. When she wanted to go out in that attire, Sheng Haotin frowned. Her hair was messy, oily face; the most glaring was the sleep crust at the corner of her eyes. Also during sleep, she preferred to sleep in freely and...in a little exposed nightgown. So when she tried to walk out in that state Sheng Haotin stopped her.
