Yi Ling met up with Braedon and the others soon after Shu Rong arrived. She was in a strange robe that was so long, she had some difficulties when walking. Strapped to her side was a plain looking sword that had some sort of jewel at the bottom of its hilt.

The gem radiated with a soft glow that made had a calming effect on everyone who was near it. Too bad it didn't have a calming effect on Yi Ling's current mood. She was incredibly pissed off at Braedon and Zan Fu since she waited outside of the gate for half an hour. This was because the guards were not there the night that she came in with Yi Bai to assist Zan Fu and they kept her waiting outside until someone could come over and vouch for her.

The worst part was the fact that Braedon and Zan Fu were literally only two meters away from the gate. They just ignored it for a while before the guards notified that someone was here to speak with them. After quickly getting her into the courtyard, Zan Fu betrayed Braedon and ran off. Leaving him to stay behind and deal with the overwhelming rage and embarrassment that Yi Ling currently felt.

Braedon, "Before you do anything rash. I just want to mention that I am basically a stranger here, so I have no control over what anyone does!"

Right at that moment, a butler came over with a plate full of snacks and bowed toward Braedon. "Oh hi Braedon! Would you like any of these fine delectable treats?"

Braedon thanked him and grabbed one of the cheesecake slice that was on the tray. He suddenly froze in place as all the color in his face drained away. The realization of what conveniently just happened struck him as he slowly turned around to face the fuming with rage women behind him.

Yi Ling, "Basically a stranger here, huh?" She grabbed the sword at her side and drew it from its scabbard. The blade was surprisingly well kept and shiny with a dark hue surrounding it. Yi Ling raised it over her head and in order to avoid the strike, Braedon took a single step in so that at most only her fist would smash into his head.

This way she could release the anger she held in her heart, while at the same time NOT KILLING him! Unfortunately, he used too much strength in his step and he crashed into her headfirst. The two people fell to the ground in fits of shouts, shock, and laughter.

Yi Ling shouted out in shock since she didn't expect Braedon to do that, and Braedon laughed because well...he didn't think he would do that! Meanwhile, Zan Fu and Shu Rong were sneaking a peek at the two of them. They saw what Braedon did and nodded to each other in approval.

It took Braedon some time to calm Yi Ling down, and after he did Zan Rong finally left the meeting room. The meeting had concluded with everyone making some big decisions. It seemed that some of the organizations who chose not to go against the Shadow Guild five months ago had sided with the guild now.

This decision seemed a bit suspicious as it was exactly everyone who rejected the assault on the Shadow Guild that teamed up with them. Almost as if that moment was planned the whole time. And considering they didn't know exactly when the old Shadow Guild leader became a Divinity, there was the possibility that the organizations were already under the organizations control.

When Zan Fu heard about this, he pressed his fist against his lips and paced around worriedly.

"Will this change the plan for our battle with the Shadow Guild in any way?" Zan Fu asked his father this while clenching his fist tightly. Zan Rong shook his head and explained, "It won't change the plans I made exactly but the date might be a bit different."

Braedon stepped up at this point and curiously asked, "When will the battle begin then? In a week, month, two months, or what?" Zan Rong gave off a sigh while he said, "That's the thing, the war is not going to begin...it has already started. In the time that we've been in seclusion, it appears that the Guild gathered an army and began to attack our bases first. The organizations that we've made an alliance with have intercepted the enemy and are in battle right at this moment."

The four friend shot up all of a sudden and looked at each other, "When are we heading out." Kai Jun walked over to Zan Rong and asked what everyone was wondering. The only response that they received was one single word, "Now."

~~~~~~~~~~
Over at the battlefield, the number of dead cultivators on both sides reached an insane number. Right now they did not affect the mortal realm thanks to the fact that a powerful World Guarder was set in place. The leader of one of the groups on Zan Rong's side brought his mace down and crushed the head of another person.
Another leader stepped over and swung his spear around, slicing three people in half by their waist. The two men watched over the field passively as they talked with one another. "This battle is becoming boring." The man with the spear commented in a bored tone of voice. The man with the mace rated his weapon on his shoulder and said, "This is good though, the quicker we reduce their numbers before that Divinity arrives, the greater the chances of us winning this war."
The spearman nodded in agreement, "I can't believe the Shadow Guild would be so foolish as to break the taboos and the forbidden rules." The group's who have sided with Zan Rong chose to do so for two reasons. The reason that they told everyone was because they were righteous and couldn't condone the sacrifice of mortals. But the real reason they didn't approve of the Guild's action was because of a legend.
The legend stated that in the past mortals were slaughtered continuously, almost to the point of wiping out anyone in the world who was not a cultivator. Because of this, the heavens were angered and the gate that allowed "heaven's force" into the world closed off, leaving behind only a limited amount of power left.
What the leaders feared the most of right at that moment was that if the sacrifices continued, maybe the heavens will decide to destroy the world out of its unending rage.
What they didn't know was that the real reason the "heaven's force" of the world was sealed away was because of the fight between Kai Jun and the group who hoarded the power of the heavens. In their battle, Kai Jun's was about to secure victory over his enemies, but before he could do that, a great being canine out of nowhere and stopped him.
The battle caused many innocent beings to be destroyed since the lightning tribulation controls went crazy and struck down people at random. Because if this, Kai Jun was imprisoned within a different realm along with the flame for hundred of years. Afterwords he was released from his chains, but given the responsibility of watching over the flame to make sure nothing bad happened. Needless to say, he failed.
As for the group that Kai Jun fought against, the were obliterated by the great being. With a snap of his fingers, all of them were turned to dust and the lightning tribulation controls were fixed. The great being decided to seal the power away out of fear that another group of cultivators, who might reach a strength equal to that of the beings he just eliminated, would arise and cause havoc. Of course, no one would believe this story if they were told this though.
"Hey look over there!" The mace-wielder pointed toward an area on the field where a single man stood without moving a muscle. Everyone basically ignored and avoided him while attacking one another, it was as if the man was invisible or something.
The two men looked at each other with a weird look on their faces and nodded. They both moved st quick speeds over to where the man was and once they arrived, they stepped directly in front of him.
"Stop! Whoever you are, stop in your tracks immediately." As the spearman approached the mysterious stranger, the man smiled as he muttered while throwing out a punch, "Only a sixth realm cultivator? Pathetic." Before the spearman reach him, the fist made contact with his chest and he exploded into pieces.
Finally the warriors surrounding the man noticed him and the cultivator who just exploded. Many of them have met the man and knew if his strength, so seeing him die within seconds freaked them all out. The mace-wielder stepped back in shock while watching his friend be reduced to a pile of blood and flesh.
The man began to laugh out as he suddenly rose into the air with little to no effort. Realization fell upon everyone present as the soldiers of the Shadow Guild bowed before he man while the warriors of the Zan Clan retreated. A single person shouted out what they were all thinking, "He's the Divinity!"
Fear gripped at the heart of all those present and the mace-wielder looked at the condition of the battle. It was an almost perfect split with their side barely winning against the Shadow Guild. But now that the Divinity had arrived, their chances of success plummeted.
"Have we lost?" The mace-wielded fell to his knees in despair. But at that moment a voice called out behind him while an arm came around and lifted him up, "Not yet, my friend."
Zan Rong stood there with his chest puffed out, looking at the Divinity with passive eyes. The man stared back at Zan Rong with an expression that looked like he was facing a roach, "Oh my, the legendary Zan Rong here with reinforcements? And do tell, what are you going to do, fight me along with your wife or fight me by yourself in a suicidal show of bravery?"
Zan Rong didn't answer as his wife stepped up right beside him. With a laugh he finally said, "Did you know that despite our strength being compared to Divinities, we've never truly fought one to the death before? Even when we fought one in only a small mock battle, we were honestly able to keep up. It just goes to show that the eighth realm is quite something. Two peak stage seventh realm practitioners would probably never be able to truly win in a battle against a Divinity no matter how special they are."
The man raised up his chin in suspicion, "Why are you telling me this?"
"Because a peak seventh realm practitioner ALONG with an eighth realm Divinity is probably enough to defeat you." Zan Rong stepped back and allowed his lover to continue from there. Mei Ling didn't really say much, instead what she did was slowly rise into the air herself with a smirk on her face.
Zan Fu, Braedon, Shu Rong, Yi Ling, and he others arrived right at that moment and witnessed the incredible scene with their own eyes. There was no doubt about it, after comparing Mei Ling's power to the strange man's everyone there knew what had happened. Zan Fu's mom had finally broken through to the next realm, she was one of the Divines!
Cheers broke out in Zan Rong's side as the warriors who were losing their will to fight in the battle regained it with extra vigor. The battle continued on with even more ferocity than last time and Mei Ling and the man still just floated there and watched each other.
As Zan Rong sat back with a stupid grin on his face, he immediately activated his {Celestial Turtle} form and prepared himself for battle. Braedon and the others had other plans though.
Zan Fu placed his hand on his friend's shoulder and nodded, "Let's go find a body snatcher."
Everyone nodded except for Jingyi Lei and Blue. This was because Kai Jun walked up to them and advised them against coming along with them.
"Why can't we come?!" Jingyi Lei didn't understand what the problem was while Blue stayed quiet since he understood why.
"It's because you're too weak." Kai Jun stated his thoughts openly and freely without sugarcoating it one bit, "If you continue in this path, not only will you get in our way but you would die as well."
Jingyi Lei couldn't accept this so he tried to convince Kai Jun otherwise with no success. Jingyi Lei fell to the ground and asked, "Does this mean you are abandoning me?" Kai Jun shook his head while pulling the pitiful boy into an embrace. This was the first real sign of care that he had ever shown Jingyi Lei and the boy was surprised by this.
"No, it's just that I don't want you to get hurt." After talking to him a little bit more, Kai Jun finally convinced him to stay with Blue and just ty to survive. Afterwords he went ahead and decided to have a speech with Blue.
"What? Are you going to tell me to stay away from this battle as well?"
"Blue, live."
"What?" Blue was surprised by these unexpected words from Kai Jun and was a bit confused by his meaning.
"Ever since we killed the boss of the club, there has been an aura of death surrounding you. You plan to die don't you?" Kai Jun said this with an uncharacteristically worries tone of voice.
Blue looked deep into Kai Jun's eyes and said, "Yes, I do. I've completed my revenge and now I can finally die in peace. I promised Mai that I would be with her and that even death won't tear us apart, I think it's time for me to keep that promise. Why do you even care? To you I was just a source of information, nothing more."
Kai Jun gave off a wink, "I care because your death will make quite a few people sad...me included." He said this while having a deep blush appear in his face, "You've grown on me, and more importantly than that, even if it was a part of your agenda, you've helped us out so much. I'm not an ungrateful person, so let me show you one thing and after that it is up to you whether or not you continue with your life, okay?"
Although Blue didn't understand what he was plotting but he nodded anyway. Kai Jun placed a finger onto Blue's forehead while his eyes began to glow orange. Suddenly, Blue was able to see the world in a new way. It was as if everything was faded away in the background and standing right next to him was the ghostly apparition of a single woman.
Tears began to fall down his cheek as he whispered, "Mai?" The ghostly apparition floated to him and leaned over to his ear. It whispered some inaudible words that no one else could hear and Blue looked at her with a pained expression, "But-" The spirit placed her transparent, white finger against Blue's lips and shook her head. Finally, Blue gave off one final nod and said, "I will... thank you for everything, Mai." The woman faded away as Blue faced Kai Jun friend who still had his finger pressed against his forehead.
Kai Jun asked if Blue saw it and he received a nod in return. He asked once more in what his decision was and Blue said, "At the very least, I'll protect that boy. He is in a situation similar to me, but he never got his revenge. I think that he will need some help to guide him on a different path than what I traveled. Vengeance will only lead to his death, and right now I think he deserves better than that."
Kai Jun smiled at these words and held out his palm. Blue took the hand into his own and shook it forcefully with a huge smile on his face. Suddenly, it was as if an electric current flowed through Blue's arm. He felt a powerful shock and a wave of information entered into his head.
"This is just in case we never meet again Blue, I know you'll use it wisely."
The information that Kai Jun gave Blue was a multitude of different cultivation techniques, including Kai Jun's own strange and personal technique, the 72 mythical transformations. Receiving all of this overwhelmed Blue for a second before excitement began to build up inside of him, "You speak as if your about to die or something. Don't worry, I promise you that I'll create my own organization trueing these techniques as the foundation. Just promise me you'll make it back to witness the rise of something great in the future!"
Kai Jun gave a silent nod. As a final goodbye, the two men embraced each other tightly with one having tears streaming down his face and the other giving off a stupid smile.
They separate and Blue ran Jingyi Lei to a different battlefield away from the Divinities. Kai Jun turned to Braedon and the others watching him with smiles on their faces.
"What are you looking at?! C'mon, now we can go catch a body snatcher!"
