Qiao Qing was pulled to the side by Jun Yexuan while Quan Zexi’s guards restrained Xia Houshang.
Qiao Qing stared at Xia Houshang. Her gaze was so sharp it pierced right through.
“You wanted to investigate and figure out who was the killer, right? The first step in any investigation is to determine the cause of death.”
“You don’t even question the cause of Duke Xia’s death and you refuse an autopsy. Judging with only emotions, you plan on questioning the suspect?”
“Are you really looking for the killer? Or are you determined to frame me and incriminate me, the person you THINK killed your father?!”
Her words made everyone look over to Xia Houshang.
Of course, to find the killer, the cause of death, the method, and the weapon were all important aspects.
Xia Houshang didn’t seem to be interested in any of that. Instead, she only focused on capturing Qiao Qing for questioning.
Even though Qiao Qing was a suspect, there was absolutely no evidence. She only had motive and capability.
In the face of everyone’s skepticism, Xia Houshang’s heart shook.
“If you look at my father’s corpse, you can find out how he died? You should know that touching the corpse is highly disrespectful to the individual. What happens if I let you look, and you still cannot draw a definite conclusion?!”
Qiao Qing said, “If I fail to figure the cause of death, you can punish me however you want.”
Xia Houshang was at first ecstatic. But the calmness on Qiao Qing’s face made her unsettled.
In front of all these eyes, however, a refusal of this request would result in much suspicion.

“Qiao Qing!” Xia Houshang’s eyes widened as she pounced forward to stop her, “This is the ‘observation’ you were talking about?! If you use this opportunity to harm my father’s body, I will kill you!”
Before she could land her attack, Quan Zexi’s guards stopped her.
She struggled hard and shouted at her own people, “What are you all doing? Why aren’t you stopping her! She’s hurting Duke Xia’s body!”
Just as her guards were about to move, Qiao Qing had removed the forceps.
Between the arms of the forceps was a bloody blob of some sort.
The sight of this compressed Xia Houshang’s heart hard. She did her best to struggle but failed to unrestraint herself. As if she’d gone nuts, she cried out, “Are you all dead?! Take her!”
Her guards exchanged glances and were about to follow orders when Qiao Qing lifted the forceps to show them the object, “Don’t you want to see what this is? Aren’t you curious why your young miss is acting so nervous?”
Her statements made the guards stop in their steps.
Qiao Qing once again stretched her hand towards Lang Yin, “Sanitizer.”
Lang Yin passed it to her.
Qiao Qing poured the sanitizer onto the object.. At once, the blood got washed away and it revealed a shiny bullet.
