When Cliffard passed by Zhi Hei's side to get to the restroom, Shi Xue purposely positioned her foot to between Zhi Hei's legs. This was clearly done to show Cliffard who he was playing fire with. Satisfied with his frowning expression, she cheerfully ate the food on her plate.
"What are you doing?" Zhi Hei looked at her amusingly. His tone was a little more rough than usual because this was a reunion between him and his friend. He wanted it to be simple, but Shi Xue was acting naughty.
"What do you think I'm doing?" she continued eating the food on her plate.
"i don't know, but if it is something that we can do later tonight, then it can wait." His hint was quite obvious that he wished for her actions to stop since it's been distracting him from the reunion.
She frowned after hearing his words, "Alright. Okay. Then I'll take my leave. You two can have fun."
She finished the last piece of meat on her plate before getting dressed and ready to leave. Zhi Hei rubbed his temples and pulled her arm as she walked passed him.
"What do you want?" she said in a cold tone.
"What's wrong with you?"
She smiled, "nothing is wrong with me. Just pretend I wasn't here to begin with, like how you forgot about my existence from earlier."
He felt a huge headache coming his way because it was indeed his fault for neglecting her. "Shi Xue, I didn't see him for so long. This is your first meeting with him. You should try to get along together."
She remained her cold tone, "He's your friend. Not mine. If you want to accompany him, then you can."
He rubbed his forehead, not understanding what's going on. Seeing his frustrated expression, she turned towards the entrance. Zhi Hei missed the slight smile she had on her face. He quickly pulled her arm again, this time was rougher than before. She lost her balance and is now on his lap. She struggled to break free from his arms, but failed. He hugged her tightly not letting her go.
"I'm sorry for forgetting about you earlier. It wont happen ever again, I promise. Please don't be mad."
"Oh? You got one thing right for my current behavior, but you'll never guess the second reason."
"Because I'm rejecting your seductive actions. if it was another time and location, I would let you do anything you want to me. But tonight is important for me. I didn't want to fool around."

"Shi Xue, please try to understand. I grew up with him and he suddenly left years ago. He finally came back and I'm catching up the lost time with him."

He hugged her closely to his body and whispered, "When we get home, I'll compensate you."

Cliffard was standing from a distance, watching the couple's intimate act. Zhi Hei turned her face towards his and kissed her passionately. He was helpless when he came to her. She returned his kiss when she saw that her rival was peeking from far away. She was about to tell Zhi Hei that she was on her period so she didn't feel too well. Also, it would be quite a mess if they actually did the deed tonight, but luck was on her side~
Cliffard coughed twice when he passed by the kissing couple.
"You two are acting like newlyweds."

Zhi Hei sighed in relief when he saw that she was acting normal again. Except, he was unable to get her off his lap.
"You should try it on to see if the size fits you." Cliffard insisted.
"Sure."
She took the light lavender colored bracelet and wore it. "It fits pretty well. Thank you once again."
"You're welcome! I knew it would suit you well."
The dinner ended early after Shi Xue yawned and said that she was tired. Zhi Hei carried her to the car as she rested on his body. After waving goodbye towards Cliffard, the couple got in their private car and left. Cliffard smirked wickedly, "Let's see how long Zhi Hei will keep you by his side when you become a defective product." he crushed the roses that were outside the restaurant using his hands before leaving.

The whole car ride home was filled with silence. Shi Xue had her eyes closed as she felt cramps from her lower abdomen and her blood flow was more than usual. Zhi Hei didn't bother her since he thought that she was asleep. After the couple got back to their bedroom, Shi Xue opened her eyes and ran to the bathroom to shower and change her sanitary pad. She washed her hands and stared at the bracelet with deep curiosity. 'He wouldn't simply hand me a gift like this... but this thing can't be harmful. Unless, he is planning to make me lose it and set me up for something, then leave this bracelet at the scene to cause a misunderstanding. Tch. This shit only happens in dramas. But it looks nice so I'll just keep it on my wrist for now just in case Zhi Hei asks me anything."
