The fight between Tohrment, Christians father and Servve was as onesided as it could be. My father was zoned of the field completely.

That was, at least, for the five seconds my father gave him without attacking. After they ran out, he smiled said:" Lights out!" and threw his greatsword.

Servve dodged, but the meaning of the words still remained. Out of my point of view, I saw the greatsword lifting itself back up. Redirecting itself. My father attacked barehanded, as the sword began to fly towards Servve. It hits his head and he is knocked out.

Lights out. Hm.

Next up was my fight. Sword summoning against .... Swordmagic? Didn't libraries always say that specialist inherit their skills in some way? I take that as a good thing. At least getting beaten by your father in things you are learning is normal.

I summon several swords this time. Just to see his reaction. Balance, Happiness and Excitement are out. My father looks at me surprised:" Swords? Heh, lets see whose swords are the sharper ones, son"

He brings out another four swords. I shiver in anticipation, fuck this will be hard.

The fight begins. No one moves, no one wants to distract themselves. I get inpatient and rush in. A sword coming from the side catches my glance, as I catch it. The moving sword loses all life, apparently he can't control swords someone else holds.

I drop Balance and pull out Excitement, the sudden speed boost catches Tohrment off guard. Was what I thought. The fact that my head ended up between three swords proved otherwise. Damn.

Enormous cheering for me and Tohr makes the embarassment better, but not gone. My father catches my glance and invites me to try and learn some of his magic too, as he apparently had an idea what my skills could be all about.

T:" Okay, so obviously, you inheritted the part of me and swords. Aswell as your mothers summoning. But I think you might have my magic aswell. Why would it be limitted to swords otherwise?"

I use a few of his old training methods, grabbing flying swords - not one cut! Then trying to guide swords my father controls into another direction.

After a few tries I was able to stop the sword. At least I cleansed it, using the skill on my own was a thing later to be learned, as we had to sleep.

The next days will be long and tiring ones, riding through boring forests proves more dangerous than thought. Just from that what elves told us, we were going to be confronted with giant snakes, cyclops, mutated bears and some monsters with access to magic. One false step could lead us to fall into a dragons pit, what would be certain death.

Dragons of low caliber are defeatable from 400 points upwards, which only three people achieved yet. Our highest level was Servve with 320, but he was an idiot, so 300 would be more accurate.

We cross the first bits of the woods easily, no monster and a road. But a few minutes later there was fog, as the road disappeared. Compass aren't working either, which is probably a side effect of the strong magical aura surrounding us.

We had to wait a few seconds, while Tohrment tries to calm us down. The fog becomes more dense, until it vanishes completely. Ahead of us lies a village of small people, but it doesn't look like they are dwarves. Fairies seem more accurate.

One of them comes to our carriage and starts talking to my father.

Tohrment:" Hey Tiara! Long time no see!"

Tiara:" Hello swordmaster, we are delighted to see you unharmed."

To:" So you heard of the capital?"

T:" Yes, we have our eyes everywhere. On your way to the dwarves with two of your sons... No. One of your sons. Wait that is not it either. There is another parental spirit in this child" She points at me.

C:" What?"

T:" It seems to be a rather strong one, I cannot see through it."

She starts talking more and more fast, until her voice blurries into a high pitched screech. What comes out in the end was us going to their queen. To search for my third parent spirit, what does that even mean?

We enter the castle but get hold up. The guard tells us to stay in the castle for the night, as the queen is currently out investigating something. Guess I will just train lifting swords with magic again, until my energy is low enough to sleep.
