Chapter 101: Drunk Together

They have the whole afternoon in the private resthouse that the Duke set up for them. They eat, drink, sing and laugh. Caleb even took his time with the girls who were celebrating. It's just a little shame that Harriet and Vivien aren't with them and mostly, Maverick.
They were almost complete but Kenzo wasn't with them either. He was still busy at work. Caleb called Maverick many times and even sent videos of them having fun. Stacey kept on singing and drinking less than Kaisley.
At the moment, Kaisley looked drunk and slouching on the sofa. Victoria already passed out on the sofa. But she didn't drink single alcohol because she's on a healthy diet to get pregnant.
He reached the blankets and covered them to Kaisley and then to Victoria. He sighed and watched as Stacey stopped singing. It's Thursday and everything went well this week. Tomorrow will be a holiday in the whole of Great Greivania, celebrating labor day. He finished all of the work yesterday and now, they should enjoy the view of the lake. The rest house was simple but wide. It's close to the lake and it has lots of fruit-bearing trees around. Some of them just fell and rotted.
"Hey," Stacey called and he turned to her. "Is Mave coming?" She asked.
"I'm afraid that he's not," Caleb said.
"Hmm, okay." She said as she sat on the long sofa and pulled her knees as she changed the channel of the television.

"Kenz!" Victoria greeted with full enthusiasm and she hugged him. "You are here. I thought you were arriving tomorrow or later." She pouted at him.
"That can't be." He grinned. "I just finished everything and I am starving."

"What do you want to eat? I'll ask them for fresh food."
"Thanks, love. I'll eat anything."
Victoria quickly went to the kitchen as Kenzo sighed.
"I'm going to change. And by the way, the rooms have names. Grandpa set that up for us with clothes in there."
"Nice. I wasn't ready for this trip. I want to change too." Caleb said.
Caleb looked at Kaisley who looked so serene.
"And I'm taking her to her room."
Kenzo nodded as he watched Caleb scooped Kaisley from the sofa. He grinned. He plans to have them back together.
Caleb went upstairs and passed a few rooms, then finally, there's Kaisley's room. He gently adjusted her and pushed down the knob and opened it. He was careful as he gently placed her on the bed. She moaned and held his hand.
"Do you want to change clothes?" Caleb asked. She opened her eyes and smiled at him.
"Stay with me."
Caleb sat on the bed beside her and caressed her hair. She yawned and closed her eyes.
"Undress me please…"
He froze from her request. But she looked so tired. He had done this a lot. Every time she gets drunk, she'll sweat and rather be naked. He's not ready for this but he undressed her slowly and she passed out again. His heart ached seeing bruises on her ribs. She isn't just slender, but she's so thin too. How can a man beat up a fragile woman like this? The fading bruises were a big stab to his heart. He teared up as he removed her dress.
He gently covered her, wiped his tears, and was about to leave. But a hand wrapped around him.
"Make love to me…" She sounded drunk but he turned around and kissed her forehead.
"Sleep now."

"I just wished that I looked for you… so you won't suffer like this. I wished that I forced you to be home rather than being sold off like that to a—bastard." He gritted his teeth as he remembered that night how the man hurt her.

Caleb nodded and wiped his tears.
"I won't. Ever." He said it was like a promise. "Don't go away, please. Stay with me."

He gently faced her and she unwrapped her arms. He sat back on the bed and wiped her tears. Caleb hugged her and calmed her.
"I'll get something for you to change." He kissed her forehead and he went to the mini-fridge and took a bottle of water and gave it to her.
He went to the closet and took out a dress that looked new with a plastic cover. There were also free-size adjustable bras and seamless underwear. He took it and put it on the bed.
"Do you want to shower?" He asked and scooped her face and wiped her tears again.
"Yes, please."
Victoria was always caring toward her husband. She wasn't afraid of showing it to everyone, so she took care of her husband like a pro.
Stacey frowned as she watched Kenzo and Victoria flirt while the beautiful wife was massaging Kenzo's nape, shoulders down to the back, and having his snack at the same time.
"Let's have a skinny dipping later," Victoria suggested to Kenzo as he nearly threw the tea that he's sipping on.
Stacey burst into laughter.
"Damn it! I'm going to my room. The two of you should get naked and ram it." Stacey kept laughing as she went upstairs.
"Love, why did you say that?" he frowned. "You chased off Stacey."
"Well, she's heartbroken and I think she should visit her room." She kissed his cheeks. "So, why did grandpa set this up?"
"Grandpa set this up like a week ago for our getaway. It should be the beach but it's not done yet so we are going there by tomorrow. For now, let's enjoy the scenery here."
"And grandpa?"
"He'll be here with Secretary Bryan a little later."
She pouted at him.
"I think we can't skinny dip." She pouted at him. He chuckled.
"We have a hot spring nearby."
"Yes, I saw the volcano on the other side. I never thought that natural spring would pop up." She kissed his neck. "Do we have a bikini for that?" She grinned.
"Maybe." He reached for her hand and kissed it. "Vi, are you happy?"
"Of course," She smiled at him.
"I'm glad. I will be very busy on the following days. Can you please bear it, my love?"

"You are my husband and I will support you, always. I may get tired but I will always be there for you. I will stay strong for you."

"Tell me what happened today."
