Eloiza tried to shake her head but she couldn't move.
Maverick stepped forward to Count Kennedy in those burning killer eyes.
"It's you and your daughter who plotted this. This is a crime and I won't let it off easily, even if you are noble."

Everyone was shocked by the sudden appearance of Kaisley. The more shocking thing was that Duke Maverick is taking all of them down.
Victoria was caressing Stacey's hair while they were on the bed. She stayed with her after she took her painkillers. She's still crying in pain. She almost couldn't move or couldn't laugh. Her abdomen would hurt so much. She was watching the television where the Royal sent out news about the cancellation of the Kennedy Family from participating in any meeting in the court. They were on house arrest but not Eloiza and Lord Kennedy.
She was satisfied with the outcome but it's not enough. A soft knock on the door caught her attention. She looked at the door as it gently opened and Kenzo's head popped out. He smiled at her. Her lips instantly stretched out to smile back.
"I'll wait for you downstairs." He whispered and she nodded at him. She turned off the television as Kenzo left the door open and left. She looked down at Stacey for a while and then, she slipped off from the bed and pulled the fleece blanket over her shoulder. Then, she fixed herself and left Stacey's room.
She went downstairs and found her husband speaking to Butler Reinheart.
"Are we leaving?" She asked Kenzo.
"No. We will wait for Maverick. But love, you have to eat. It's already dinner."
"Oh," She nodded at him and reached his arm. "How about Stacey?"
"She's asleep."
"Then, I'll have dinner later with her."
"Love, aren't you hungry?" Kenzo caressed her hair that might look messy.
"I don't feel hungry."
"Love, we have to leave eventually after this. Stacey will have to stay with Mave…"
"Can't she stay with us?" She creased her brows. "It's partially my fault. I didn't send out someone to protect her."

"I did promise you everything, right?" He smiled. "Stacey is like a little sister to me too. And I know that you feel raged… that's why I am slowly soothing it. Karma will get them eventually."

Butler Reinheart escorted them to the dining hall and the woman approached them. She's wearing a formal dress with ruby gems and she curtsied.
"Your grace,"
Victoria curtsied gracefully. Then, she extended her hand.

Victoria was momentarily mesmerized by her beauty and she reminded him of someone with those beautiful aqua eyes. If Kenzo didn't remind her to sit, she'll be staring at her forever. The more she stared, the more beautiful she looked.

Lady Empress smiled as she nodded.

She said that she'll stay here as long as she likes but the best option was staying with Maverick and reconciling. After dinner, Victoria quickly excuses herself to check on Stacey. But then, Butler Reinheart came with wine.
"Duke Maverick just arrived and went directly to Lady Stacey's room."

"My men reported it to me." She said. "Please stay for a night. I already set up a room for you near Stacey's room. Currently, we are only occupying the west wing of the castle."

"Stacey needs me," Victoria said. "Although I missed my mom, I'll have to stay for a night? I~~I want to make sure that Stacey won't get~~" Victoria paused. She doesn't know how to explain the breakdown.
"I understand, your grace. I set up a mini-fridge. You don't have to go down to the kitchen if you are hungry. I know that there will be times that you might not be able to sleep in this situation."
