It's been two weeks since she stayed at the beautiful mansion that is her soon-to-be husband. It's already night and tomorrow will be her wedding. Her mother stayed with her in the mansion and she should be happy. However, her groom wasn't with her and she tried to call him many times as his male secretary would answer and would say that he's in the middle of a meeting.

"But he sent out someone to set up for the wedding, right?" Dana asked her.

"Yes," Katarina exhaled frustratingly. She was frustrated that he wasn't there and there were delays on a few deliveries until Travis's Personal Butler came.

"Lady Katarina," he bowed. "Mr. Gordon wanted you to relax as we would do everything to prepare for the wedding. You don't need to worry and you will see the perfect venue that you like tomorrow."

Katarina breathed in and out as her mother patted her.

"Darling, let Travis handle it," Dana said. So, Katarina and Dana went to Katarina's room where she has a lot of dresses that she likes and a showroom that was bigger than her showroom back to her grandmother's mansion. Travis gave her gifts and clothes for her to wear and she could also shop on her own. He also gave her an unlimited card to spend.

She slouched on the bed as she reached her phone and scrolled through the news. She frowned seeing Victoria dressed in a beautiful vintage style dress as she led the meeting of the nobles in Westeria Grand Hall. Seeing how the news said that she's a perfect Duchess, there's also a stolen photo of her with Lady Harriet Astera.

"Mom, Victoria is holding funds for some rogues." Katarina rolled her eyes.

"It wasn't just rogues but she's also funding all of the orphanages." Dana shook her head. "Does she even have enough money to fund all of the orphans?"

"Her husband is the Duke… The Crown Prince of the country. I am sure that she has money to spend. She even got a platinum card for it."

"Hmm," Dana shrugged it off. "It's fine. You also need to do the same since you are the Count's wife."

"But Travis told me that I don't have to do lots of lousy things. I can relax and travel as I want." On the other hand, Katarina doesn't want to smile in front of those filthy bastards or those dirty orphans. She would crease after holding them just for a show.

"Darling, you still have to do some exposure," Dana said. "Look at Victoria, she's doing everything to look good in front of everyone."

"I heard that she's infertile, that's why the ministers were throwing concubines to Kenzo." She said and threw her phone away. "I am sure that my fiance wouldn't even give her a glance."

But to be truthful, Katarina felt anxious as she heard Travis telling his Secretary to deliver this and that to the Duchess when Victoria got sick. She was anxious that Travis would always see Victoria whenever he went to Westeria. Her husband will always be away and she will get bored.

"Mom, do you think that I should get married to him?" Katarina seemed to hesitate that everything is good to be true. But she said that she will only become a housewife and spend his money while he's working and she would spread her legs for him if he wants.

"Yes! Travis Gordon is a very good choice."

Stacey yawned after finishing the cover for the book. Since it's almost the same as before, she only added a few things from what Victoria wanted. She stood from her seat, stretched a little, and went to the sofa. Victoria was very busy communicating with her editors and other people. It's also the same with Harriet and Vivien who were doing well on their work. Shortly, Kaisley came to discuss something but Stacey fell asleep on the sofa.

Victoria noticed it as she quickly grabbed a blanket and covered it to Stacey and they continued with the discussion in a medium voice, careful enough not to wake Stacey.

"We will only have to prepare a contract for now. It will be processed and reviewed for a week and I am sure that yours will get in." Kaisley told Victoria.

"I can't wait for it to come out," Harriet said with a low sound of shrill. She's very much excited since she's a fan of the Author and Illustrator of Comics and novels. She heard it and read it on a certain website.

"I will also release a sequel if this sells well," Victoria said.

"But does Stacey have the comics?" Kaisley asked again.

"It was half done," Victoria said. "We can work through it. I will finish the novel and revise a few of it. It will take a year or two and Stacey needs to get on track. She's going to be a mom soon and it'll be hard for her to work and focus on her baby."

"Yes, it will be hard." Harriet agreed.

"I don't want to hire any illustrator because Stacey's art is the one I am familiar with and I love every character that she draws." Victoria picked up her tea and sipped on it.

"I understand."

"I think I should call Stacey's husband." Vivien stood. "She needs a comfortable wide bed and pillows."

Vivien left the room. Then, Kaisley yawned and stretched out.

"What time is it?" She asked and checked the time. "Damn, it's nine in the evening. Are they still in the meeting?"

"I guess so," Victoria said. "I think we also need a break. Stacey can't work like this. You too Kaisley."

"Yeah, but I guess that the boy's butt was aching from sitting for that long." Hailey laughed.

"It's a good thing that Maverick escaped this conference." Kaisley had thought of it.

"Yes, the King approved his leave and attended through zoom." Victoria chuckled. Shortly, the door opened and Maverick entered. He bowed his head as he carefully carried his wife. Vivien assists Maverick. "Girls, I think we need to take a break. I am also tired."

"We should." Harriet yawned.

"Your rooms are also set up." Kaisley stood and gathered everything she owned while Victoria went to Stacey's table and saved her work. Then, she sent the draft to her email and turned it off.

Victoria went to her room, removed her shoes, and stripped her clothes. She relaxed and looked at her stomach. It's a good thing that it's flat and not bloated. She tried hard to get rid of imperfections on her body. She will start her exercise next week. But for now, she's too tired to even move. But she managed to take a warm bath and put on her beauty care products. Then, she wore a warm dress and dragged her body to bed.

She didn't fall asleep quickly so she reached for her phone and texted her husband. He replied quickly.

Kenzo: I'm tired. My ass wanted to do some glutes exercise.

Victoria: Hahaha. I'm tired too, love. Come home soon. Or maybe, right now. You can hit the gym before sleeping so your ass won't feel flat.

Kenzo: I was planning on thrusting it to you.

Victoria: Wow, how can you say such a thing, my hubby! Hey, don't grin too much. You are still in the meeting.

Kenzo: I'll see you later, love. Get ready for me.

Victoria flushed and replied.

Victoria: As I've said, I am tired. But I love you.

Her phone started ringing with Katarina's number. She hesitated to answer the call but she still did.

"Katarina?"

"Sis," She could feel that Katarina was smiling, in a fake way.

"What do you want?"

"Can't I call my Duchess sister?"

Victoria rolled her eyes.

"Anyway, I only called to inform you that my wedding is tomorrow. You can come if you want. I will send you the address and invitation."

"Who are you marrying?" Victoria frowned and sat up.

"He's a Count. He has a lot of business and is probably richer than my ex who also was your ex."

"Hmm," Victoria wanted to scoff. "Alright, congratulations then."

"Anyway, he's currently in Westeria and I heard that he's in some meeting?"

"If he's a Count then he's indeed in a meeting until later."

"His name is Travis Gordon. And I think you know him."

Victoria was stunned.

"Travis is your fiance?"

"Yes. Surprise! He's super handsome."

"I see. But how long did you guys date?"

"Only a short time. He asked me to marry him because he wants a wife like me."

"Okay… then, best wishes to you and Travis."

"Thank you."

"Alright, good night. I'm quite tired today and I think you need a beauty rest."

"Of course, I do." Then Katarina hung up just like that.

Victoria lay down and tossed her phone away. She doesn't want to deal with something like that. She's just happy that Katarina left that cheater. They have a toxic relationship and she hopes that Katarina would change after marrying a very good man. She just hopes that Travis won't spoil her so much and get into a crime with her.

She thought that she had fallen asleep when she felt someone kissing her neck. She quickly smelled her husband's scent and she opened her eyes.

"Hello, baby."

"Kenzo,"

"Babe, I'm horny right now."

"I'm not wet." She frowned at him.

"Okay… this won't take long." He smelled alcohol but maybe because they have it back in their conference. "Victoria, I love you," Kenzo said softly.
