Chapter 65: The Gathering

At seven in the morning, Kenzo brought her back home. While Caleb, Stacey, and Maverick went back to their residences.
"I'm going to take a bath." She said while clutching the coat wrapped around her.
"I'll join you." He said.
In the bathtub full of bubbles, Kenzo joined his wife and hugged her as she just cried from the trauma. He will completely torture them. He wanted to see them get tortured. After the gathering, he will have to see how they will get beaten up. They have to pay ten folds.
"Stop crying now, my wife. You have to look beautiful at the gathering. Right?"
She stopped crying and sniffled. She turned to him. Her eyes are red and puffy. He sighed and kissed her forehead.
"I don't like it." He said. "Let's get up. I will make breakfast and you have to press ice on your eyes."
Kenzo takes care of her like a baby. Dry her and dress her up. Then, he took her to the kitchen and put wet spoons in the freezer.
The gathering will be in four hours. The lunch in the Parson Mansion won't be nice. He's sure about it. Her wife couldn't handle much stress so while he's making their breakfast and she's sipping on the detox drinks that Bryan sent, he had to discuss something with her. He took the spoons from the freezer and gave them to her. She obeyed by putting the scoops of the spoon to both of her eyes.
"Love, make sure not to think much about their insults."
"Hmm?" She asked without leaving the spoons from her eyes.
"I am sure that your father and mother would make it hard for you throughout the lunch."
"I'll speak well." She removed the spoons.
"I don't want you to be stressed out."
"I know." She sighed.
"And I have a gift for you." He sneered. She giggled at how adorable her husband was. Starting from reminding her not to be stressed out.
"You are full of surprises suddenly, Kenz."
"That's because you haven't asked me anything."
"I did…" She said and thought of the things that she asked from him.
"Hmm," he shook his head.
"Then, can we have sex?" She asked with a sly grin. "It's been a while, love and I'm on my pills."
Kenzo turned off the stove and walked around her. She giggled when he picked her up.
"But, I have to take my pills first."
He went to the medicine cabinet with her over his shoulder and took a bottle of water. He brought her to their room to do their marital responsibility.
Kenzo gave her a new purse. He set it up with things that she needs, like lipstick, tissue, pepper spray, cash, and cards.

She wore the floral dress that Kenzo bought for his first pay. The dress was comfortable and simple. She wouldn't want to wear something too expensive for a simple gathering. She turned her head to her husband who was comfortable with casual clothes and sneakers. She also wears a pair of sneakers that he recently bought and it's perfect for her floral dress.
"Thank God that I am not going to wear high heels." She mumbled. Kenzo smiled and patted her head.
Kenzo drove her car to the Parson Mansion. It was a sunny day and in the beautiful forest-like driveway of the Parson, mansions are chirping birds and butterflies. The garden was well taken care of and she wanted to have the same garden. But she bought a house in a very small backyard. There are not many flowers on it.
"Do you want to set up a garden in our front yard and backyard?" Kenzo asked when he noticed her gazes.
"Yes. It'll be beautiful to have lots of butterflies visiting our house." She said as she wondered. "I'm not good at gardening but I want to see beautiful butterflies in our backyard. Perhaps I should research how to plant!" She said, sounding determined.
Kenzo knew that his wife was worried about finances since she doesn't have a current job. She's just writing novels to different platforms but he saw her stressed out when she knew that it wasn't selling well. Soon enough, he won't let her worry about finances. He owns lots of businesses and that also includes publishing houses and media. He could make it sell through it.
"Love, are you still writing?" He asked.
"Yes, but this time, it's something that Stacey and I are working on. A novel and the same comics. We will complete it first before we find a publisher." She said. "I finished it but I wasn't satisfied with my writing."
No valet greeted them. The valets were very busy with other family members. So, he parked the car nearby and then, he opened the car door for her. She took her purse and smiled at the beautiful big butterfly that passed by them. She had the most genuine smile. They walked in the entrance while holding each other's hand. Although they dressed casually, she was still holding a million-dollar purse that hasn't been released to any store in the world.
"I should start catching butterflies and put them in our garden since it's making you happy." He told her. She giggled and shook her head.
"You can't possibly catch butterflies."
"Oh, I could." He winked at her.
The maids greeted them.
"Welcome home, Miss, Sir."
"Thank you." Kenzo smiled at them.
"We don't have a net." She said as the maid escorted them to the bungalow where the lunch was held.
"We could barrow somewhere." He grinned. "First, let's ask grandma about it."
"Ask grandma about what?" Rome, the first son of her Uncle Bryant asked. She rolled her eyes.
"None of your business, Rome." She said coldly.
"Hmm, anyway, I heard that you were having an affair," Rome said casually like it's nothing.
Kenzo didn't change his expression much. The same with her. She didn't know what the guy was talking about.
"What?"
"Oh, I overheard it from Katarina. I am sure that she won't buff anything since she has evidence."
They looked at each other and shrugged. Rome was quite puzzled on why they didn't react that much.
"Okay…" She mumbled.
Kenzo put his hand at the small of her back.
"Kenzo, Victoria," A sound of an old woman called. They turned their heads as Kenzo and Victoria smiled.
"Grandma." Kenzo and Victoria called. The old woman warmly greeted them. Rome and others were of course surprised with the warm greeting.
"Come, let's sit down."
The old woman sat down on the head of the table as she told Victoria and Kenzo to sit close to the Baroness. Kenzo pulled a chair for Victoria as she placed the purse over the table.
"So, how are the two of you doing?" The old woman asked.
"We are doing great," Victoria answered.
"She's always great," Kenzo told Regina about her wife.
"Is it because she's good at seducing men?" Dana asked who sat down with her husband.
Regina frowned at Dana's words.
"Jason wasn't over you, Victoria. Do you know how much your sister goes through because of that?"
Victoria creased her brows.
"It's not my fault that Jason wasn't over me." She said nonchalantly.
"Victoria, don't speak to your mother like that," Bailey said coldly.
Victoria shut her mouth. They knew well that she couldn't speak to her father. Kenzo holds Victoria's hand.
"Mr. Parson, I would like to speak for my wife," Kenzo said as he looked straight at the man who physically and mentally abused Victoria from when she was little until now. "From what my friend reported, her ex was the one who approached her that day in the grocery shop. Why would a tycoon visit a grocery shop during working hours? Do you think it's odd? If Jason wasn't over Victoria then, it's not her fault. Besides, I'm glad that Victoria found out that he cheated before their wedding. What more is, he cheated with her sister." Kenzo said it without buffing. They are all surprised that Kenzo speaks up.
"You, useless man. I didn't ask you to speak." Bailey hissed.
Kenzo only smirked as he turned his head to his wife and smiled.
"What's so special about your friend that Victoria was always with?" Katarina asked as she sat down.
"Why do you want to know?" Victoria asked. "As far as I know, I haven't seduced anyone besides my husband."
"Really?" Katarina smirked. "Then, what's with the photos of you and these men?"
The maids distribute the small envelope to everyone. Kenzo was curious about these photos. Victoria didn't open any but Kenzo did. She was a bit worried that Kenzo would listen to them.
Kenzo checked each photo. There are photos of her and Jacob where the man took her hand. Kenzo knew that she withdrew her hand from the bastard. Then, there's the photo of Jason and her. Jason was pulling her elbows.
"Should we also file a restraining order to Jason?" Kenzo asked Victoria. Victoria was surprised by his question. "This man harassed you enough and the other was still bugging you."
He stopped as he flipped another. His eyes darken as she seemed to look up and smile at the men wearing masks in the bar. Victoria peeked at it as she shuddered.
"What are all of these?" The old woman asked.
