The discussion went on for another half an hour. They even had to order more food, just to tame wolves down a little. The main stumbling point was in fact that they all have to separate. And most importantly, Greg was literally torn, but he could not decide where he needed to be in the first place.

"I can't leave you like this, especially if you have to meet with your mother." - Greg tried to convince Lana once again, although it sounded more like he was trying to persuade himself this way.

"Greg, nothing threatens me here. You and Frank must solve this problem with that man yourself, don't you? Would you be able to sleep soundly at night if everything goes wrong or something happens? Be honest with yourself!" - Lana insisted on.

Greg winced in reply. The situation was really hopeless, but if he is not present during the interrogation of the suspect, he will probably suffer for a long time afterward, thinking: "What if this is a mistake? What if things are not as transparent as they seem? "

Although their situation now was difficult to call transparent at all.

" Listen to me carefully, love!" - Lana was well aware that she was putting pressure on Greg's weak spot, but there was no way out. - "I can handle it! You can send an army of security, I don't mind. Just give me the opportunity to solve it myself! I don't want to be just a burden to you, the girl who came, hung all her problems on you and is now sitting with her paws on the lep and waiting for you to do all this."

Greg frowned and wanted to object something, but at that moment Lana got up from her seat, came close to him and leaned over, whispered slightly touching the tip of his ear with her lips.

"Let me be worthy of you. Not for you to think like that, but for me to feel that way myself " — it was a blow in the gut, and Lana knew that. Greg's face immediately reflected the internal struggle. He gritted his teeth, grimaced, and exhaled slowly, finally looking up at Lana. She was looking forward to what he would say. Instead, he grabbed the girl's neck and pulled her closer, catching her lips in a sudden kiss. It was hard and demanding as if he was trying to leave a mark, to show her how he felt.

" Love, forget about dignity, pride, and all this bullshit. You are mine! Not up for discussion! But thanks! I understood, what you're doing here. Although I'm still sending the army of security. No excuses." - He whispered into her lips, slightly pushing back and looking into the eyes. Lana's face mixed up a bit, but then cunning sparkles lit up in her eyes.

"Good, but you must return safe and sound. Who knows, maybe you suddenly will feel like going on a spree ... I know you, the moment I lose sight of you, and a tone of girls hanging on you like bunches of grapes."

Greg grinned.

"Do you want me to buy you a whole cemetery for these arrogant girls? "

" So, you can plan a demographic catastrophe later." - Tony cut their cooing. - "Let's finish, and I'll go to sleep. My eyes are already closed, and if I pass off under your sleazy talk, I'll surely have some crazy dreams. And by the way about arrogant girls. While you're here, what about your plan with Angela?"

Lana sat down on the armrest of Greg's armchair, and embracing him by the neck, looked into his eyes again.

"Dear," - she began gently.

"You are going too far!" - Greg responded sharply, anticipating what Lana was about to say.

"But children need to go to school on Monday. And for one they will take care of this trifling matter. Is it so difficult for you to take them?"

Three pairs of puppies eyes stared at Greg. He sighed sadly. God, why was life so cruel to him?

"Lana, honey. Do you understand what you are asking for? You will stay here alone! There will be no one whom you or I could trust. Even with a crowd of guards, you still will not be completely safe."

"Greg, everything will be just fine. I can handle it. On Monday evening I will be home, we crawled under a warm blanket and ...

"I don't want to hear about warm blankets either!" - Brian cut her off, destroying the pink bubble in which the two of them were secluded.

"Greg, I understand your concern. And I also do not really like it. But I will send a few of my people with my mom, and I will assign a couple to Lana. It will be better to keep the children away from all of this, for the time being" - he continued in support of his sister.

Greg grimaced but still had to agree.

In the end, after a short rest and a visit to Maddy, Ithey rented two more cars. Lana stayed in town, and the rest headed back to Greg's villa.

Fortunately, Greg's mother, a very intelligent woman, immediately understood from her son's expression that all questions had to wait. Therefore, taking from him a promise to visit next week, along with all the others, she got into Tony's car without any questions. To make the sisters back off was more difficult. Surprisingly, Brian helped, coming to the car for some reason without the shirt. His naked torso instantly became the center of attention.

Risa was running after him, waving some cloth in her hand.

"Bri! Stop acting like a child. You have already blown up four cars, the raccoon simply could not survive in this hell."

"These demonic creatures are not afraid of fire. I know that this fluffy asshole was touching my things with his nasty fingers. I can feel it! " - the man growled, dodging Risa, who was trying to fasten at least a shirt on him.

At that moment, a piece of paper flew out from the jacket's pocket, which she held in her other hand, and landed on the ground.

"If I were in Greg's place, I would have burned and sprayed everything with acid here." - Brian continued to rage.

"I'll think about it," - Greg replied with a grin.

Meanwhile, Tony noticed a piece of paper lying on the ground and decided to pick it up. It turned out to be an old photo. There were four people on it: a little girl with blond hair was sitting on a massive, carved chair, next to her stood a boy with smoothly combed hair. And behind them were two adults — a beautiful woman with the same yellowish eyes as a boy's and a man with long fair hair in a tail and blue eyes like a girl's.

Tony froze, staring at the photo. Panic flashed in his eyes for a second. Then he turned round sharply as if checking whether no one noticed anything and slowly slipped the picture into his pocket.

" Are you ready?" - Franky called him, closing the trunk of the car. Tony smiled broadly, as if nothing had happened, and hurried to him.

"I'm coming, dear!"
