Ian gritted his teeth, baring his fangs and gave a sign to his subordinates. The two behind him leaped forward and shifted. Two big wolves snarled and attacked at the same time, aiming at Greg.
Greg bent his knees slightly and prepared himself, with his arms spread wide and the knives at ready. The first one as expected jumped aiming the fangs at his shoulder and neck. But the sharp teeth clanked on the nanomaterial, slipping away, unable to penetrate the densely compressed tissue. But the weight of the body slammed into Greg, made him sway. However, the suit effectively balanced his stance. Greg smirked under the mask and grabbed the beast with one hand on the skin around his neck. Moving the ugly muzzle to the side, he drove the second knife into his shoulder, while simultaneously sending the discharge to the blade. The werewolf flinched all over and tried to recoil, but Greg kept continuing to hit the shifter with electroshock until the beast wheezed and collapsed on the floor, slightly convulsing.
The man immediately turned around, waiting for the second to attack, but what he saw was the back of the white wolf before him. Lana stood at guard and now snarling attacked the other shifter, not letting it get to Greg. The werewolf initially did not dare to attack at full force, knowing that this is the daughter of the leader. He just snapped at her trying to push the she-wolf aside.
"Just get her out of the way. I will deal with him myself!" - Roared Ian from behind. Moving forward.
Obeying his order, the shifter hit the she-wolf, grabbed her by the nape with his fangs, and threw away. Lana flipped over her head and immediately stood up on her paws, ready to launch at the enemy again. But he did not give her a chance to move back, jumping from above. Crashing much smaller she-wolf under him. His fangs sank in her back, making Lana yelp.
Greg, seeing this, was ready to rush towards Lana, but Ian blocked the way. Or rather, Ian in an entirely different form.
The Alpha had time to turn, but how he looked was very different from the forms of other shifters. Greg stared in shock at a creature that now stood before him. It was surprisingly similar to that monster of legends. He seemed stuck somewhere in the middle of the transformation. The figure of a huge, muscular man, completely covered with thick fur, but paws, claws, and head that of a huge wolf. That thing was ugly as hell and majestic at the same time.
Meanwhile, the Alpha crouched slightly, spreading its paws wide and in the next moment leaped toward Greg, easily overcoming a couple of meters separating them. Greg barely had time to react, bouncing off to the side. Or rather, the suite gave him the impulse saving his butt in the nick of time, forcing him to prepare for a strike.
Greg did not even have time to look in the direction of Lana, forced to whirl and dodge the claw. Ian turned out to be much stronger than he expected. This form gave him much more opportunities than the ordinary shifter.
Greg tried to get Ian with a knife, but he easily beat off his hand, immediately clawing at the mask. Fortunately, it, too, was from nano-matter and endured it, but Greg's head still shook to the side. He Unvoluntarily squeezed the eyes for a second. Ian took this opportunity and slammed him with all his might throwing Greg to the floor, knocking the knife out of his right hand.
The air from the lungs escaped with a sob, and the head buzzed hitting hard on the concrete floor. Seems like the mask did not have time to react to his sharp fall and malfunctioned. Seeing this, Ian snarled victoriously and began to strike rapidly from all sides, with claws, knees, fangs, in the hope to get through the defenses. Greg tried to twist out or at least pull his other hand with a knife, which Ian pressed down with his knee, praying that the suit would endure all those strikes. But apparently, his luck ran out, as the side slashed with pain and Ian roared triumphantly, raising his bloody claws.
Greg felt as rage flooding his head. He clutched the teeth and in the last attempt to free himself leaned towards the werewolf, with all the dope just slamming his face into the ugly muzzle. Fortunately, this time the material did not let him down. Greg distinctly heard the sound of a broken bone and a gurgling moan of the Alpha.
Ian recoiled, releasing the guy's hand and in the same second he got the knife in the side. Greg pressed the discharge button with such force that he almost broke the mechanism. Ian grunted and began to squirm on the floor.
" You beatch! Thought, I was just a human? But you forgot that I am the owner of a whole corporation in the military industry. If I wish, they will deliver an atomic bomb to my house faster than a pizza to you, motherf*cker!" - Greg snarled through clenched teeth, watching as Ian writhing on the floor. But a strange sensation distracted him from the pleasant sight. As if the cold began to spread from the shoulder all over the body. And terrible fear seized his heart, making him flinch. He did not immediately realize that the emotions were not his. Turning sharply, Greg found Lana with his eyes. The she-wolf stood in front of her fallen enemy swaying. She managed to knock him out, throwing the shifter to the wall and dumping a cupboard on him. There was no big wound on her. But something in her gaze that she threw at Greg made his heartache.
The she-wolf took a couple of steps to him but stumbled and fell hopelessly. Lana's eyes rolled up, and she stretched out on the floor. Greg froze in place, not believing what he was seeing. It was like any minute now she will get up. But no, Lana did not even move.
"Lana!" - He called, rushing towards his girlfriend, forgetting about Ian and all others. Having ripped off the mask, he fell to his knees next to the immovable she-wolf, who for some reason slowly began to turn into a human form.
"What's the matter? What happened? Lana?!" - He cried in a voice full of panic, examining every inch of Lana's body. But there were no significant wounds. A couple of bruises and scratches and that's it.
- "Baby, come on! Don't scare me like that! What is it?" - Greg shouted, patting the girl on the cheeks and gently rub her shoulder. But her head just swayed from side to side.
- "This is poison." - Ian's cold voice came from behind. - "Sybil bit her. All this time, her body struggled against it. But everything has its limit. Time to understand it, boy."
Greg turned sharply, the rage flared in his eyes when he found Ian, standing just a few steps behind with indifferent expression. He already turned to the human form and now looked more like an observer, as if it didn't bother him in a slightest.
"You f*cking asshole! Do you have an antidote? This freak was your assistant, you should have it!" - Greg demanded. Ian shrugged and chuckled coldly.
"That not how you ask of favor, but whatever. I will give it to you only if you go with me. Like a good boy." - answered Ian, not even looking towards his daughter.

"How about giving it to us just so we won't kill you ?!" - Tony hissed, aiming his guns at the shifter's head. Greg turned around. Mike and Paul also approached them, leaving behind a pile of fallen bodies.
But Ian behaved like he didn't care that all his minions were defeated, and he was left alone against these four.
" The choice is yours, Greg." - He stated in a calm voice, folding his arms across his chest. - "As soon as she stops breathing, the countdown will go on for seconds."
Greg stared at Lana with panic. The pulse was barely palpable, but the breath ... He leaned toward her lips, praying to feel at least something.
" Goddamit!" - He swore, clenching his fists. - "Ok, you won. I will go with you. Just save her!"
"Greg!" - Tony yelled jumping to Greg. - "Are you crazy?"
"There is no time for an argument!" - Greg interrupted him. - "Give me your antidote, quickly!"
"Well, I hope you keep your word." - Said Ian, taking a small bottle from his neck that looked more like a medallion. Greg hastily intercepted it and rushed to Lana. Gregging her mouth, Greg poured a dark brown viscous fluid into it with shaking hands, forcing her to swallow.
"Please!" - He whispered, leaning closer and hugging Lana tightly as if trying to transfer some of his strength to her. - "Baby, come back to me. You can't do it to me! You Can't leave me..."
The next seconds seemed like an eternity to Greg. He sat on the floor swaying slightly, wrapped the girl in his arms and prayed ... That part of the heart that always belonged to Lana, now radiated cold, causing unbearable pain to him. The world reduced to the only sound that he was waiting for.
" Please, please!" - He whispered, rubbing her pale cheeks and continuingly lightly touching her lips with his in hopes to feel the slightest sigh. Panic was getting closer to his mind, forcing his head to spin. He did not even notice how tears started to roll down his cheeks, falling on her face.
" Lana! My Lana!" - He called in a whisper, tightly holding her to him and kissed as if trying to share his breath with her. Her lips were so soft and so cold. - " I love you! You can't leave me again, or I won't leave through it the second time!"
" I love you, too!" - Came a barely audible whisper through Lana's lips. Her eyes opened a little. But as soon as she saw Greg, a warm smile appeared on her lips, and she fell asleep peacefully.
Greg signed as if surging up from underwater, kissed his sleeping beauty for the last time and stood up passing her to Tony.
" Lead the way." - snarled Greg through clenched teeth turning to Ian. - " I always keep my words."
