For the first time in a while, Greg woke up in a beautiful mood. The sun was shining brightly, and it didn't even irritate him. Whistling some silly song, he went to pretty himself up, along the way deciding when would be the best time to visit Lana.

Today he chose the suit with especially great care. If Tony saw it, he'd die of happiness or a stream of sarcasm. Lucky, he is out of the city on a business trip.

Finally, the clock showed precisely eight a.m. and Greg decided that it was about time to go for his portion of sugar.

Nobody answered the bell. Greg was loitered in front of the door in confusion, not knowing what to think. Did they already leave? Why so early? Or maybe they did not move in at all yesterday?

But no, Frank specifically told him yesterday that all things were transported, and Lana and the children are quite happy with the new housing.

There was only one way to find out for sure. This time without much consideration Greg pushed the bell on Frank's door and kept ringing on and on. In less than a minute, a loud crash and curses were heard from the other side. Greg smiled wickedly, continuing to push the button. At last, the door flew open, and sleepy Frank appeared in the doorway, with red eyes and absolutely wild expression. Since college, Greg has learned that his friend's brain turns on only an hour after wakening up, at best. But he needed answers now!

" Where are they? "- he asked directly, while big guy still tried to focus.

"Who?" - Frank sounded dozy.

" Lana!"

" How should I know? I don't have them. They left."

"What do you mean left? Why were they here in a first place?" - Greg narrowed his eyes, struggling to sort out his friend's meaning. Franky shrugged, turned and went inside the apartment without answering.

" Frank! I'm talking to you" - yelled Greg following him in.

" Muffins." - Frank answered him, disappearing into the kitchen. Greg had no choice but to go after him. Entering the kitchen, Greg immediately tensed. As in his apartment, this room was more to complete the interior and for coffee. Yes, he had a whole place just for coffee, and there's nothing strange about this! Only Tony knew how to use all those weird things that often are a part of a kitchen, like a stove. So Greg did not immediately realize what alarmed him. It was clean in here, but there was a definite smell of food in the air. Here and there the eye stumbled upon mysterious staff that had not been here before. A strange jug with yellow liquid near the stove. Next to it lay a big wooden spoon inside an even larger ceramic spoon (why? ). There was even a towel with flowers on the handle of the oven, and many other small things that literally insulted this room for coffee by their presence.

Greg looked at Frank in bewilderment. The emptiness of his eyes showed that this man was still sleeping, but his jaws were working nonstop. Before him, on a large platter lay several muffins, which he tried to gobble up with a speed of forest fire. As soon as Greg moved toward his friend, Frank immediately threw a warning glance in his direction and pulled the baking goods closer, chewing with double speed.

"So would you mind telling me how Lana and the children moved in yesterday?" - Greg asked casually.

"All good," - Frank squeezed out, finally swallowing the next bit.

" How about some more details?" - Greg started to boil inside from such monosyllabic responses. Frank paused with an answer still staring at his sweets. Greg had enough and lunged forward, snatching the last muffin from the dish, right from under Frank's outstretched hand.

"If you won't tell me right now, I'll eat it. Consider that it is my hostage and if you value the life of this cute lil' cake, you'll talk." - He threatened. Frank frowned.

"You won't do this ..." he growled, rising.

"You want to bet?" - Greg answered mockingly, bringing the cake to his mouth.

"All right, all right, easy, Greg, I'll tell you everything!" - Frank finally surrendered.

" In short, Lana and the children moved in yesterday. They liked the apartment. I came to help with the arrangement after work. Thomas was already there. When we all sorted things out, Lana proposed to organize a little housewarming party. But her oven was not working, and I offered to cook at my place. I called you to invite, but you yelled at me and hung up. I thought - "well, f*ck you then" - and we had a great time without you. Plus, Lana's dishes was just divine. It's your loss. And now, slowly and without sharp movements, pass me my muffin, and no one will suffer."

Greg clenched his teeth. So they celebrated yesterday, and without HIM! While he was working his butt off, they were having a party! Purely out of spit, Greg decided that depriving a friend of sweets would be good revenge. But Frank knew him too well. A soon as Greg glanced at the baking and lost Frank out of his field of vision, a big guy jumped and knocked him down, pinning him under. Taking advantage of Greg's disorientation, Frank reached for his hand with the muffins and snatched it away, tried to get up. But Greg's two years in the military didn't go to waste, twisting and catching his friend by the knee, he easily flopped Frank on his back, digging his shoulder into the big man's solar plexus.

Frank pitifully mooed through clenched teeth. He had already crammed his trophy into his mouth and now struggled to keep it inside, so it was the only way he could express his outrage now.

They kept tussling like that until their fun was interrupted by a strange crunched sound. Just a few paces from them, Tony stood with a pack of chips in his hands and stared with excitement.

"Keep going! Don't mind me," - he whispered, stuffing a new handful of chips in his mouth and watching them intently as if they were two monkeys in the zoo. The mood was spoiled.

" What are you doing here?" - Greg asked Tony, standing up. Frank also got up, and both of them sat by the table with straight faces as if nothing happened.

" Actually, yesterday, I wrote you that the deal was successfully signed and I'll return back earlier. What were you doing all this time? Oh, wait, don't tell me ... I can already guess! " - Tony said in a conspiratorial tone, winking at Frank.

"What did you tell him?" - Greg tensed, shooting daggers at Frank.

Frank looked from one to the other, baffled.

" There's nothing to tell. I am not bling. You had so much fun, tussling ... I have long suspected!" - Tony grinned slyly.

" Oooh! You mean ... well, yes! .. haha ... you caught us. How could I miss such an opportunity to feel Frank's buns" - Greg immediately tried to cover his misunderstanding with a joke. But he was a lousy actor. A strained laugh and a strange expression forced Tony to frown, eyeing his friend intently.

" And what did you mean?" - Tony asked suspiciously.

"I? Nothing! I mean the same. By the way, I am so late for work. See you later." Greg jumped up from his chair and made a run for it. He paused for a second by the door to find his phone and send a message to Frank with a detailed description of all the torture that Frank would have to experience if he breathes a single word to Tony about Lana. How wonderful it is to have childhood friends! You always have so much compromising evidence on them that they just have to keep your secrets.
