Greg clung with all his might to the handle on the lid welded to the hood of the vehicle, trying not to fall off his improvised chariot. The wolves raced so wildly that Greg started to pray at every bump so that the buggy wouldn't turn over. Only after some time, he finally resolved to fully straighten out and take on the steering wheel designed by Marina.

The werewolves obviously didn't know how to go in harness, because even in spite of the speed, they still stumbled about each other and could not find a common rhythm. Because of this, the buggy bounced on a narrow road from side to side.

Greg tried to straighten the position somehow using the steering wheel and the brake. But in the end, it caused an even greater mess among the beasts. Nicholas constantly turned to his sister, worrying that she would fall behind or stumble. Brian still could not understand how quickly should he move, either shooting forward or slowing down, feeling that he started to pull the team on himself. Lana was torn between these three and tried not to tumble herself.

The situation was a real jumble. Greg couldn't even imagine that it would be so difficult. Considering that they were already flying from the slope overtaking the wind, it'll take only one of the wolves to stumble, and everyone will get hurt.

The road began to narrow and wind. Gravel sprinkled from under the clutches of the werewolves in all directions. Buggy went skidding, risking to roll over. Greg had no choice. He leaned harder on the foot holders set on the outside of the roof, squeezed his hands on the steering wheel and took a deep breath, tried to concentrate. Where is this feeling? Usually, it came so naturally, but now adrenaline confused his thoughts, disturbing consciousness.

Greg slightly closed his eyes and, as if cutting off his awareness from the surrounding madness, caused the image of Lana in front of his eyes, reaching for her, calling. The white wolf in the harness shuddered, but did not resist, and readily opened to the call of Greg. The first connection brought Greg the echo of anxiety mixed with fear and mad energy, that couldn't find a way out. Lana has been torn apart.

Greg, too, began to get nervous, but immediately cut himself off. Now there was no time for this. He gathered his strength and sent her all his tenderness and calm as if trying to mentally embrace the girl, breathe a little of his power into it, put out the raging fire inside. She-wolf, a lost step, but immediately recovered. Her run became more confident and bolder.

Greg exhaled a little, but then he strained again. Something happened! As if in his mind a new door opened and not only one at that. Confused feelings, images, thoughts flooded the head. Greg took two hasty breathes and squeezed his eyes shut, trying to cope with sudden nausea. Only when he came to himself a little, Greg suddenly realized what it was. In a panic, he looked at the four wolves who were rushing ahead. All these emotions, voices in his head were - their!

Lana opened for him not only her mind.

At that moment, he so vividly felt the fright of little Vicky, like the touch of cold trembling fingers. Nicky's anxiety for the family burned the mind on the other side. And the confusion of Brian, who completely forgot what it means to have a family and is now was utterly lost in the new role.

"Heck!" - Greg swore through his teeth. It was even more complicated then he thought. Greg completely forgot what the full moon race means for shifters. How strained and bared their feelings today. Lana once told him that it was at such moments that the pack needed Alpha the most. Leader, pushing forward no matter what, on which you can cling, who will direct and show the way.

Will direct...!? A sudden thought lit up the mind, driving away the onset of panic. Greg smiled wickedly, exposing his face to the wind, and mentally collecting all the connections, like reins in a fist. He was a squad leader in the military not just in name. Okay, bring it on!

Focusing, he locked all his feelings inside and began to assess the situation. He first tested it on Nicky. Greg slightly closed his eyes and sent a semblance of a signal to a guy, a kind of magical kick in the arse. The black wolf instantly shook his head and threw an indignant look at Greg over his shoulder. Greg grinned back and fully sunk into the boy's mind. Directing, leveling, giving a mental hit on the head when necessary. Very soon, Nicky stopped fighting and realized that his steps evened out. There was no choice, and he complied, concentrated on the execution of Greg's commands. Greg didn't have to mess around with Vicky the same way. She needed only a little support, warmth, confidence, and the feeling that we were all here together, with her.

But finding himself in the mind of Brian, Greg almost vomited. This is one hell of mayhem! Especially after the werewolf helpfully showed him the image of how beautifully he can hang Greg's insides on the nearest Christmas tree.

Greg wanted to give up. Lana and the children straitened their pace and Brian, too, was able to adjust a little. Buggy bounced a little less, and the slope was almost over. Greg did not know this road very well, as it led not to the highway, but to the nearest town.

He remembered that it was not so far to the nearest road. Now there should be another sharp descent, and then a bridge over a mountain stream. Another twist. The road curved and ran down. Buggy began to pick up speed again. In the next turn along the cliff, they already flew in, barely rubbing their wheels on edge. The descent became steeper, and the wolves began to stray again. Greg prepared to give instructions, but suddenly his gaze clung to something ahead.

The road just wagged to a slight rise, and then there was a bridge ... There should be... But it was not there! Where is the damn bridge?

Brian apparently also noticed this and tried to slow down. As a result, the harness stretched, almost strangling Lana, and Vicki with Nicky, who followed, almost ran into their mother and uncle. Greg purely on instinct sent a concentrated ball of his fury towards Brian, breaking through all resistance. The wolf started, jumped sharply forward and continued to run. There was no time for controversy and pride, and Brian apparently realized this, complied, allowing Greg to take full control of their foursomes.

The werewolves began to pick up speed again. Now the coordinated work allowed them to agree so well that it seemed that their paws did not touch the ground at all. Buggy flew after them, only jumping on the biggest rocks. Two unfortunate passengers, who until then had kept a tense silence, noticed something. At first, Greg felt tangible enough blows to the roof from the inside from Maddy's side. Then stronger and rapid. In a couple of seconds, the blowes were killed by a sharp screech. It seems a duo downstairs finely realized that they were rushing at full speed towards the cliff.

Greg's smile became even broader. Good thing those two couldn't see his face now. Because Greg's eyes now were flaring with sparks of crazy excitement.

" Move it!" - He shouted with all his might when only a few meters remained to the remains of the bridge. His voice intertwined with a reciprocal roar from the shifters, which rushed forward even faster.
