Today is Catherine's first day being John's legal wife. Being Mrs. Roxas is a wonderful feeling.
Before John left the bedroom awhile ago to report to go to his office to do something business-related, they were having an impromptu quickie inside the bathroom while they were taking shower, they just leave the door slightly open just in case baby James will cry, thankfully he did not.
So, yeah, it was a hot steamy shower session with her husband, a very sizzling and wild one that keeps replaying in her mind right now.
Catherine just finished donning baby James his clothe diaper. Then he began crying, breastfeeding time.
A few minutes later baby James was done crying. She put him in his newborn crib and placed him beside her. He was wriggling his toes and his arms. Baby James was getting chubbier and cuter every day. She was kissing his toes and he seemed to like it 'coz he was making cute noises with his lips and looked at her and smiled. "I love you so much baby James!" she murmured.
Her phone suddenly rings, she picked it up and answered the caller which was Mike.
"Hi Mike...," she said.
"Beauty, w-why did you married him?" there was deep sadness in his voice.
Catherine sighed. "I'm sorry, Mike. He is the father of my son and I love him so much, why can't I marry him?"
"Yeah, I understand. Cath, listen, just in case you two will break up one day or go your separate ways, you can always count on me, my offer still stands," he said pitifully.
She laughed a little. "That would never happen, Mike. I wish you happiness and hope you can find somebody that will truly love you and accept you for who you are. I wish you well my friend," she said. Deep inside she truly wishes Mike will be able to settle down with the woman that is meant for him one day.
"You take care of yourself, Mike," she said softly.
"Bye beauty, I might no longer be able to call you a lot of times because you're already married out of respect for your husband. Take care of your self too and enjoy your married life. Bye... Catherine," he said and the line went dead at his end.
Catherine stared at her phone and shakes her head out of sympathy for her friend, Mike.
She placed her phone on the bedside table and played with her son. While in the middle of playing with her son, her phone rings again. This time it's Sherry calling her.
"Hello Sherry, how are you?" she asked.
"I'm doing fine. I'm planning to visit one of my cousin there in Makati City, I'm thinking maybe we could meet this coming Thursday if you're not busy," Sherry said.
Catherine was looking at the calendar on her phone. She has nothing to do on Thursday, maybe she can meet Sherry nearby for a few minutes, usually, Baby James would sleep a few hours during the afternoon, she can meet her friend outside. "Okay, we will meet at The Latte Cafe, see you there," she said.
"Where is that Cafe you are talking about, Cath?" asked Sherry.
"You can ride a taxi and instruct the taxi driver to bring you to The Latte Cafe at Paseo De Roxas near the Ayala Triangle Gardens. You got it now?"
"Yes. I saw that cafe on my way to my cousin's place, I will meet you there at 2:00 in the afternoon, see you there!" answered Sherry.
"That's good, see you on Thursday then," Catherine said.
"Yes, I'm excited to see you again! Bye friend," Sherry bid farewell to her friend.
"Bye Sherry!" replied Catherine.
Their conversation ended.
Catherine placed the phone back in the bedside table and continues playing with baby James.
It's still an early day of her married life with John, Catherine was hoping that John won't ever change and he will continue to be a loving, considerate, understanding husband to her. She heard many couple stories how their spouse change after they got married and the marriage ended too short after two or three years. Although she knew deep inside her heart that John loves her so much, still she was hoping that no other woman would ever cross on his path so that he won't be tempted to cheat on her again. From time to time she's planning to check his phone without his knowledge, she will just try to be careful not to get caught and then visit him in his office unannounced. It's comforting to know that John's secretary was a guy. She heard of stories of married men having affairs with their secretaries.
Was she getting paranoid again?
Hope not. There's no reason to because she was already the legal wife of John.
She caught him cheating on her once, it's something that she can never forget. Trusting John and loving him is two different things. She will always love him but when it comes to trust issues, she was still recuperating from his previous betrayal. But even if her trust for him where on the 70% level stage of recuperation, she can't let her guard down. She must always look for a tiny sign of changes in him if any.

John came inside bringing her favorite Strawberry Watermelon Smoothie and placed it on the bedside table. He had a wide smile on his face.
"I got your favorite smoothie, wifey!" he said walking to her side and planted a wet kiss on her lips.
She returned his kiss with her own and they shared a passionate kiss for a few minutes. She tore her mouth away from him. "Thank you hubby!" she said with a grateful look in her eyes. She reached for the smoothie and began devouring it.
John shifted his attention to the baby and holding his son in his arms. "Hello baby James, Daddy's here! Miss me?" he nuzzled his son's chubby arms.
