It had been several hours since they had arrived, and now Charlie was beginning to start his counting again for the fifteenth, maybe sixteenth time.

“There are at least a thousand men armed with guns,” Charlie said, knowing the massacre that would occur if the tribe was to attack them head on.  These were the same mercenaries who had protected the outpost. These though, despite being the same faction, just their attire alone was enough to tell him they were far more elite.

“Fuck, I see why the imperial captain thought there was about twenty to thirty million coppers here,” Charlie said, adjusting a few screws on the side of the scope to zoom out of his target slightly. Again, he counted the soldiers before creating an estimate.

“There are about a thousand soldiers, armed to the teeth with guns. Ten-gun chariots packed with Gatling guns on three sides, and lastly three hundred dragoons,” Charlie’s words meant little to Cluupyte and even less to the even more confused natives.

“SO… is that bad?” Cluupyte asked.

“Worse than bad, we would be massacred before we even reached the front lines,” Cluupyte dwelled on his words as he spoke. Her pride was forbidding her from wanting to admit it, but he was probably right. He had outsmarted them before and shown his intelligence to them on multiple occasions. It was probably best that they followed his theory.

“Okay, should we leave and return to tell the tribe?” Cluupyte asked, Charlie shook his head as he began to mutter to himself.

“No, I want to watch for a while longer. Also, do we have any paper, quill, and ink?” Charlie asked, and Cluupyte began to go through the bag. Revealing a pencil and paper, she offered them out to him.

“Here, work away my little human,” she said with a smile as he began to write and make notes on the paper. For a while they lay in silence and stared on at Charlie. He took no heed to them, too stuck in his own little world to even realise they were watching him.

Ten, then twenty, then thirty minutes asked.

“I think I have a plan,”

“For what?”

“Killing the Region Lord,” Charlie said, turning to her and smiling.

“So, what is it?” Cluupyte questioned.

“Don’t worry, I just think we need to have a shopping trip over to the fifth region,” Charlie said, packing the paper and equipment into the bag.

“Let’s go, I don’t think it is smart to even stay here for any longer. If those Dragoons see us somehow, we would be slaughtered. And God forbid they managed to get a gun chariots over here,” Again, Cluupyte wasn’t sure what these things were, or why they seemed to cause so much panic in the young boy, so she simply nodded and asked.

“May I ask why they are such a threat?”

“Look through this, and towards the things that look like large iron boxes,” Charlie said handing her the scope. Taking the scope, she fumbled around until she aimed it towards the mansion. It took a while to find the ‘iron boxes’ but she found them eventually.

“See the smaller box at the front?” Cluupyte nodded yes to his question.

“There are four horses that are about as tall as you in there. These will pull the carriage. The iron keeps them safe, as well as hiding and sights that might scare them. On the back and two sides, there are large holes where Gatling guns will fire from. They are not accurate, but when they have a belt of a thousand bullets and fire ten a second, they don’t need to be accurate as they will statistically hit something,” Cluupyte nodded, but knowing it wasn’t hard for their knives to cut through iron, she still had some hope of destroying these chariots. Charlie seemed to know this as he continued to describe the power of these war machines.

“There are twelve inches of dwarven steel. Now even a cannon could break them,” Charlie said, now seeing Cluupyte’s ego dipping as she began to doubt that she could destroy these chariots.

“I see… what about the drag… dragoons?” Cluupyte said, looking to the men in green and black armour sitting upon large stud horses.

“They are a mix of mounted marksmen and sword infantry. They would be bale to out manoeuvre and outshoot our archers,” Charlie stopped speaking as he saw for the first time a look of uneasiness on the face of Cluupyte. Placing a hand onto her leg, he offered her the bag.

“Put it inside and lets leave. I don’t think any of us want to be around to test the strength of the dragoons,” Cluupyte nodded and whipped the reigns of the war beast. With a serge, it pulled itself from the self-made hill and began to plunge back down into the desert.

With a new but hidden fear of this mercenary army, Cluupyte placed the Desert Claimer into full sprint forward. She would never admit it, but he could see the smother fear burning in the eyes if Cluupyte. No, wait, there was something else. He looked forward towards where her gaze landed. A large pool of water, probably about thirty-by-thirty meters. But that was just a guess as a large are of tropical trees invaded the sandy shores around the lake, hiding the majority of its true size.

“We will stop here to have a break. You are drenched in sweat, and I am not returning you to the Chiefess all hot and sticky,” Cluupyte said with a smile, patting him on the back. Charlie was so caught up in thinking of strategies that he hadn’t even realised that he had become soaked in sweat.

“Oh, ah, yeah,” he said, embarrassed by his current state, but he could tell that Cluupyte most likely wanted to do something to take their minds off what they had just seen. Something smacked against Charlie’s leg. Looking down, he saw a tail happily hitting against him.

Despite keeping a straight face and blank expression, Ourupadia’s pointed-to-the-sky-ears and bashing tail showed her excitement. Even without having to ask, Charlie knew the nature of the natives, and knew her excitement was most likely at seeing him nude.

“Pervert,” he muttered, quickly yanking the end of her tail, causing her to jump and squeal slightly. Frowning, she smacked his side before snarling slightly at him. Laughing, Charlie smiled. It was important to stay happy in the face of impending death. Frowning, Charlie clenched his legs. His plan needed to work, or God knows what that army would do to the tribe.

Ourupadia seemed to notice this sudden tensity as she felt his shoulder tense under her grip. All anger or annoyance left her as she began to nuzzle her face into his neck. For a while she held him until the Desert Claimer came to a stop. With all the intensity of the thoughts barraging his mind, Charlie had barely noticed the sun being two thirds away across the sky. It was near dusk, and around three, maybe four hours until night.

Leaning forward, Charlie stared up at Cluupyte.

“Are you sure we have time to stop? Shouldn’t we be getting home?” Charlie asked, fearing the anger of the Chiefess.

“We can have a bath first, can’t we?” Cluupyte said, smiling at him as she pulled the Desert Claimer a little further until it sat next to the jungle.

Excited, the women moved to gather their things and jump from the beast, but Ourupadia had already leapt from the beast and began to move towards the water. After making a quick visual scan of the area, Ourupadia placed Charlie next to the water. Placing her hands at the top of his shirt, she took in a deep breath before quickly and skilfully unbuttoning his shirt.

Some of the women laughed, now knowing why she spent so long with the Vultures. The Vultures worshipped the Goddess of the Desert, but they also worshipped the lesser Goddess of beauty and fertility. This Goddess made it so that they could have incredibly attractive women and men in their clan, as well as giving them the ability to decide what gender their child was going to be.

But this came at a cost, as dose all gifts from the Goddess who had fell ill to the Goddess of trickery. A young man would have to breed a woman, then the now pregnant woman would sacrifice the man and have a mixture of his blood and seamen painted onto her. The clan would procced to dance around her and summon the gifts of the Goddess. Usually, the women would have at least five boys and ten girls at once.

This ritual was rarely used as it was only ever preformed if the tribe didn’t have enough men and feared that they may go extinct. As such Nolkonoe (as head Vulture and priestess) would have to dance in the blood of an animal and seamen of their clan’s men at least once a month to honour the Goddess.

But where does Ourupadia come into this? Well, the Vultures deeply loved the men of their clan, thus they would pamper and care for these men, just in case they needed to sacrifice them or sell them off to another clan to keep the population of the tribe up. These men were well bathed, fed, and kept in the best of conditions to make them happy.

For many weeks, Ourupadia had stayed with the Vultures to learn some of their skills that they use to pamper those men as well as how they seduced merchants. This being how she learnt to undo his buttons so quickly. Knowing only what the Vultures taught him, Ourupadia removed his shirt and threw it to the side.

Charlie blushed as she then moved her head down to his trousers. Biting the top of the trousers, she began to growl as she twisted her head from side to side. Eventually she managed to her it loose and using her teeth, dragged his trousers down his legs and to his ankles. Cluupyte laughed, now seeing why she often saw her buying trousers and pillows from her clan. She had been practicing these skills for a moment like this to arise.

“Vixen,” Cluupyte said with a grin as she jumped from the war beast.

Ourupadia’s teeth clamped around the top of his pants.

“Oh fuck,” Charlie muttered, moving to stop her, just for a pair of arms to wrap around his chest. Darting to look over his shoulder, he found himself held in place by his attacker.

“Look at her Charlie,” the soft voice of Cluupyte whispered in his ear, “She looks so happy to show off her skills, so don’t ruin her day, okay?”

Looking to Ourupadia, he had to admit she was right, the girl looked extremely happy. Her tail wagged as she now managed to pull his pants past his waist and down and to his ankles. Oohs and ahs went up from the group, much to the embarrassment of an annoyed yet blushing Charlie. Widening her eyes, she moved up to stare at his member. Whispering a few words, she quickly placed a kiss onto the tip before dragging him from Cluupyte and into the lake.

Warm water flowed over Charlie as he burst from the surface. Gasping, he felt arms wrap around his waist and carefully pull him. Before he knew it, he found himself sitting on the lap of Ourupadia. Her hands wondered his shoulders, before moving up his neck and into his hair. Removing a hand from his head, she dipped it into the water, before lifting it high into the air, and dropping it into his head.

For a moment he shuddered under the sudden feeling of warmth, but soon relaxed as the pleasant feeling overtook him. The cool air, shade of the tree, and contrasting warm water felt perfect to him. Ourupadia seemed to be able to tell this as she felt him sink into her grasp.

“Alright, you win, but only a couple minutes,” Charlie said, reluctantly lying back into the arms of Ourupadia. It had been a long day, and I day that he only wished to end.

Tiered, but too excited to care for much, the women leapt into the water to enjoy their reward for a long day of work, not even noticing the sharp eyes and glint of steal above them, hidden in the treetops.
