Two collisions could be heard as Rei and Eve was seen laying down in the craters formed by the impact.
"Urg, Eve. You ok?" Rei asked as he felt his body strained and damaged. Rei's body slowly started to regenerate but couldn't replenish the fatigue he felt.
"Yeah..." Eve replied weakly.
"Try talk to your Zanpakuto, I'll hold him off for a bit. Right now it would help to get your time abilities." Rei said as he stood up. Nodding as a response, Eve sat down and crossed her legs holding Mirai infront of her.
"True Eight Inner Gates : 8th Gate Open!!!" Rei said as a furious red aura exploded from him. The true eight inner gates makes it so that Rei gains an incredible boost in his physical form pushing him to the boundary of reaching the 3rd highest rank. Ascendant. Rushing towards IM, Rei swung down Taema towards IM. Easily seeing through the attack, IM moved his body slightly to the left avoiding the cut while giving Rei a hard punch to the gut.
"Hahahaha, while you may have increased you physical status, do you think I haven't done the same?" IM said while giving Rei a barrage of punches. Using haki, Rei used the side of Taema to flick off every punch that had attacked him. Bringing the pommel of Taema towards one of IM's punches, Rei used the back of his hand to push off the punch allowing him to swing Taema at IM. Backing off after the hit, Rei watched as the cut was regenerated easily.
"Hmmm....." IM looked down at the wound before back up at Rei with an ominous glint in his eyes. Similar to Senbonzakura, IM dispersed 12 of his wings using the feathers as blades sending them towards Rei.
"1 Layered Protection Array : ROTATION!" Rei shouted as the barrier diverted the feathers away. IM suddenly grabbed Rei by the shoulder and threw him forwards. Rei was shocked as he didn't know how IM was able to enter the barrier without breaking it. Stabilising him self. Rei traced out Enkidu and threw it towards IM. Feeling the threat of Enkidu, IM created a purple orb before throwing it towards Enkidu easily eradicating it.
"Tsk! I'll show you the true essence of the 5 rings!!"
Rei chanted as he flew towards IM continuing to fight without pause. Extending the handle of Taema, Rei made it a make shift spear sword combination. Piercing Taema towards IM, Rei also used this moment to make an ice javelin form and attack from the side of IM. Dodging the spear sword, IM swiped left with his hand destroying the ice javelin.
"I place my trust in the Tenjin of the Tenma shrine...." Rei continued as streaks of red energy increased.
Transforming Taema once more, Rei swung the now transformed great sword version of Taema towards IM. The movement flowed like water in the stream causing IM to have not choice but to try block since he was in range of the great sword. The darkness of IM's body twisted into a shield ad it blocked the great sword causing sparks to flash.
"Deity of absolute freedom. Nioh Kurikara, shoutenshou!" Rei continued to chant as the red energy started to increase in volume slowly forming a illusory figure of a man with a toned muscular body, 4 arms and four swords.
"Let's go blade master's draw, Ishana Daitenshou!" Rei said as he jumped away from IM finishing his chant.
"SIX REALMS FIVE PLANES :THE DIVINE FIGURE OF KURIKARA!!!"
Rei shouted as he used the Noble phantasm of Miyamoto Musashi. A rainbow of energy spiralled upwards giving the illusory figure life. With a eye shattering bellow the giant roared. A sword was held in each of the four hands. Red cloth draped around the giant as it readied the four swords. Flying towards IM, Rei controlled the giant utilising the four swords.
The first sword swung down at incredible speeds causing IM to quickly dodge to the left. But what greeted IM was another sword the glowed with an ominous red energy. Each of the four blades flowed without flaw as Rei had gained knowledge on the noble phantasm when he traced it. Using haki as a support, Rei tried to corner IM while charging up the sword energy of the noble phantasm on Taema for the final strike. Seeing the chance that IM had to block all four attacks, Rei gave a wide horizontal sweep of Taema causing the rainbow sword energy to fly towards IM causing an explosion of light which caused Rei to shield his eye's from the light. As the light died down, Rei could see the sky parted by the energy causing no clouds to be visable. Looking towards IM, Rei could see that IM was missing his lower body as his wings flapped keeping him flying.
Not giving Rei the chance to enjoy the damage he caused, IM regenerated his lower body in a matter of moments. Rei could only helplessly watch as he couldn't move his body for a small moment after using Six Realms Five Planes.
"Hahahahaha...you had me worried then. I don't know where you keep pulling these powers from, but it doesn't matter anymore." IM said as he flashed towards Rei, suddenly appearing in front of him with a palm on the head.
"His most divine has told me to seal you if I can't kill you. I'll do just that." IM said with an insane smile that stretched from one side of the face to another.
"SHI-!" Rei said as he tried to back off but black chains had already wrapped around his body as IM absorbed Rei slowly into his body.
"Hahahahaha, with this I will gain all of your power!" IM said in insane delight.
"Get you filthy hands off my lover you piece of shit." A voice suddenly called out, IM looked up to see Eve standing there with fury raging in her eyes.
"Bankai!!" She shouted as the fabric of reality started to distort around her body. Lighting could be seen smashing down around the area as a white energy shot upwards through the sky.
"Eien O' Mamoru!!!(Talk hold of eternity!!) MIRAI!!" She shouted as her form was revealed. Donned in some light armour and cloths floating around her (Imagine a dijinn equip), the armour covered her lower body at the waist while a light blue skirt covered her legs, a sleeveless dress covered her upper body, in her hands was Mirai but the blade has become a clear material making the blade seem ghostly. A semi transparent sphere suddenly expanded with her at the centre covering over 1km radius around the area.
"With this I can control the time of the area of person in my domain." Eve explained.
"Gyaku(Reverse)." She said as she snapped her fingers.
Time could be seen reversing as Rei was then expelled from IM's body and the black chains disappeared. Seeing what just occurred, Rei quickly jumped backwards landing next to Eve.
"Seems like your Bankai is just what I needed Eve, Thanks." Rei said as he realised without Eve, he would have been sealed forever. While he couldn't die, being sealed would have been worse than death.
"No problem, I took a bit longer since Mirai wanted me to actually gain some proficiency in controlling time before telling me her Bankai. But god damn it took me 3 years in there to gain enough control for her to let me go." Eve said revealing the fact that she just spent 3 years with her Zanpakuto.
"What! 3 years?!" Rei said shocked, while he had been fighting for a little while Eve had been training for 3 years without contact except for her Zanpakuto.
"Yeah but to me it was worth it since I was able to save you." Eve said with a happy smile looking at Rei.
"Well then, let's go for round two but this time as a duo." Rei said as he readied Taema. Eve smiled while she readied Mirai in her hands.
