As for you, you can try a lot of things using instruments; attack, defend, control, but the concept is really complex so I suggest something simple first like communication. The first theory is not yet confirmed due to the nature of Ruby and Amethyst have a closer relation to others element other than earth; specifically fire and energy in general.
2. There's a possibility of her skills being a transformation skill as most transformation skill incorporate a body part in their skill name for example; Wolf Claw, Steel Skin, Iron Hand, etc
We almost dismiss the second theory as it's kinda farfetched knowing there are other skills like Bear Hand, Feather Feet, Mystic Eyes have little to no relation whatsoever with transformation skill.
I'm not diminishing the possibility of either theory being true or false but I think at least her first skill Emerald Skin is a body transformation skill. From your demonstration in the hall before, I think her skill has similarity to yours."
