Duncan spent three days reaching level 22, and he appreciated his new nickname bottomless glass because he took many lives with liquor…

Goblins loved to drink, so he got plenty of experience, and Phoenix finally stopped leveling up after level 50…

This worried him because Phoenix hadn't messaged him since leveling up two days ago after the lava storm…

Did he stop caring about his weaker master?

His power level became 8500, and Phoenix's power level now reached 25,000…

Once you reached level 50, it marked a special threshold in demon essence development, and… he finally saw Wormy appear from the ocean onto the tiny island as he tried to make sense of his systems map of the ocean floor…

[Ding! Host is currently 50 miles away from the underwater city, and it is directly below the host… However, system has finally conserved enough energy to teach host the new move, aquatic breath. Would host like to learn aquatic breath?]

"Yes, please begin encoding system…" Duncan laid on the red mineral sand and Wormy heaved as it dropped a few bony fish onto the beach…

Duncan thanked Wormy and began sucking the meat of the dead looking fish…

Wormy had grown bigger, and his fleshy rings that made him seem like a worm appeared to be ballooning and widening…

Yes, it also appeared he now had a two headed worm…

It would've been cool if this was a flesh dragon, or a hyrda, but the sky gleamed a disturbing light against the sand, and… where the hell did Phoenix say the humans were on this map?

[Ding! Host appears to have the map backwards…]

"AHHHH!" Duncan turned the map around in his display as Wormy spit out another fish onto the beach…

It made Duncan smile, and he handed it to Mirada as she glared at him evily…

"So… Enna really can't come outside?" She crossed her arms after putting the fish in her mouth, and… the amount of frustration she felt having to leave this man alive peeved her to no end!

He looked like a bad rotting crop, and… he ignored her desire to kill him…

She felt bloodlush boiling up inside of her before Wormy plopped down onto her chest…

"Oh… it's okay, Wormy… You'll have a new master very soon…" Mirada pet him as Duncan looked over at her with a glowering stare…

"You know… That barrier we erected in the base is keeping her safe since she can operate the defensive array to raise her strength… If she leaves, the Vernal Demi-god assassins may kill her with their assassination techniques… so can you just eat your bony fish and not complain?"

Duncan tried to smile and felt her killing intent oozing out of her body…

Not wishing to stay here anymore, he finally learned aquatic breathe and Mirada reached for his foot…

"You're so shameless! You didn't say bye, jerk!" Mirada felt like chopping off this man's legs for being so impolite, and… she sort of enjoyed following this humungous goblin…

He seemed to have more etiquette that many devils, and demons for that matter weren't known for this quality…

She didn't really like him that much, actually, and she looked at his disgusting smile and it made her drop him in the water…

"Ugh! Come back in one piece, jerk! Enna will think I killed you if you died…" She heard he needed to find a rare stone for one of Enna's alchemy projects, and if he found that she really feared for their sect…

It felt like home after three days, and… so many skeletons were killed in the making of her pills…

They had joined the sect looking for a safe haven…

They enjoyed many pills that made them stronger, and they were like cats prowling the skeleton infested neighborhood…

They developed into quite a fierce, robust force of skeletons, and Enna then stopped giving them tried and tested pills…

This little clan in the making blew up like a chain reaction of bombs, and Enna said "Ooops" before Wormy went out to scavenge for more survivors…

It felt like being in a horror movie watching them explode, and Enna had laughed when the Vernil assassin force arrived as a series of dragons pierced into their bodies…

'What the hell kind of defensive array has a dragon like that?' Mirada thought at the time, and Duncan really wanted to get her ingredients for a high-end pill…

He had access to some arrays she'd never seen before, and… there his little shadow disappeared into the water…
