She sniffed in the direction of the source and pushed the shrubs to the side before walking for a while longer. After walking out of the bushes, she saw the spacious ground and on top of it, was the corpse of an asian elephant.
This was an adult asian elephant. Its nose had been cut off and tossed two meters away from the body and its tusk had been taken away. The corpse looked to be rotting. Flies buzzed and flew around the wound.
This was the first time Lin Yueqi had seen an elephant’s corpse up close. She froze glancing at it and the shock it brought to her heart.
She could never imagine hunters killing an elephant so mercilessly in order to obtain two tusks.
