Chapter 158: - an unheard-of children's song

"Taura, Karin. Do you know what a player is?"
I ask them both.
Taura lets go of my hand, and Kalin turns around and opens her mouth.
"What's the matter, all of a sudden? Speaking of players, aren't you referring to the demon tribe known as the ? It's in the nursery rhyme."
Then Kalin starts singing. I don't know this song. After she sings it halfway through, Kalene seems to notice something. She is as intuitive as ever.
"So that translucent plate you were talking about..." she says. The one you said only Rust and Seyruk could see. Where are they showing up? Is it still out there?"
When she comes in front of me, she reaches out her hand and flaps it around. Her eyes sparkle with curiosity.
She looks like a child with her movements.
Karin comes close to my face, peeking out from below. From my point of view, I'm just sticking my face in the plate, and it's in the way.
I push her forehead away.
"Right in your face, Karin. It's in the way of reading."
"Don't push. So, what does it say?
Kalin is leaning closer when she is told that it is right in front of her. Taura, on the other hand, looks puzzled, as if she has no idea what I'm talking about.
"I can't read some of it, but it looks like this..."
I tell them what is written on the plate.
"Quests, world announcements... all these words I don't understand."
Taura looks puzzled.
"I think this is it. I guess they want me to find something and make the sailor's lark bigger five more times. Two of them have already grown and gotten bigger.
Kalin affirms. I generally agree with her opinion.
"So the demon tribe got the message that we need to grow Seyruk ......."
"You don't have to take it so seriously. It is obvious from the past developments that the sorcerer and the demon tribe have some kind of relationship. If they attack us we'll just return the favor. Right!"
Kalin pumps her fist in the air with enthusiasm.
Taura sees Kalin's reaction, and she mimics her and raises her fist in the air.
Rust, we have an important matter to discuss.
For a change, Kalin looks serious. But I think she is smiling.
I have a bad feeling about this.
"What the hell, Karin?"
"You need to find something else to make Sailuke grow, like the black cube you said you found in the mausoleum, don't you? That would require the cooperation of His Highness Lily, wouldn't it? What are you going to do?"
A clearly amused Kareen.
I was tempted to give up the search for the black cube at the thought of what was to come.
