“You are here to ask about Taula’s belongings. Master Rust, she has told me a lot about you. Since you are here instead of Taula herself, I assume something happened to her.”

I peek at Roa before I answer.

There are still magic elements in her eyes, and she nods with a puzzled expression for some reason.

“Yes, rest assured that this conversation is private, thanks to 『Divine Protection』.”

Did she notice us exchanging looks? As she says this, Kahelone does the praying pose that Taula also often does.

I can see with my alchemist eyes that there are faint magic elements surrounding her.

So that exists too? First Taula’s oracle, and now this. There’s so much I don’t know. Is this the power of a high-ranking believer of Araysla?

Kahelone’s magic elements faintly fill the room, and turn into something I don’t recognize.

That amount of magic elements shouldn’t be able to do this much. Is there some sort of trick to the room itself? In any case, it’s very interesting… No, back to Taula.

I try to focus after unconsciously getting sidetracked.

What Kahelone called divine protection is the power to block perception from the outside.

I’m curious about the nature of this power that’s unknown to me, but I have more important things to take care of.

“Excuse me, Sister Kahelone. Can I ask you to show me what Taula left here first?”

“…Very well. Please wait here.”

Her eyebrows twitch, but Kahelone complies and leaves the room.

Roa pulls on my sleeve and whispers.

“Master Rust, calling Kahelone ‘sister’ is rude. Was that on purpose?”

“Eh? Is it?”

“Master Rust, you are surprisingly ignorant. She used 『Divine Protection』, and judging by her uniform, she is at the very least acting class. She would normally be called Actor Kahelone.”

“Actor… Are there a lot of these acting class people?”

“I don’t know. They appear quite a bit in legends and fairy-tales.”

I was going to point out that apparently she doesn’t know that either, but hold it back. After all, Roa isn’t a great talker but still went out of her way to tell me.

Still, fairy-tales again… It’s just like when I heard of ‘players’. This sort of thing tends to be…

As I think about this, I ask Roa a question that pops in my mind.

“…Oh? Then isn’t Taula a part of that acting class?”

“Knight priests should be different.”

Then we hear the sound of the door opening, as Kahelone enters the room again.

Behind her are the noisy nuns from earlier. All of them are holding boxes of different sizes. I guess they all shared the load as they brought those things for us.
