I do as Roa asks and call out to him, being careful how I call him.
Kahelonee looks at me with an expressionless face and an amused look in her eyes. She must have noticed that I was being coaxed.

Her eyes were vacant, staring blankly into the air without reacting when we entered the room.
Next to the bed, I guessed it was a sister who was assisting her.
It must have been just time to eat. She was taking a spoon of something like stew from the side of the bed, and was bringing the spoon to the girl's mouth.
