When Darryl woke up, it was past noon. The Chieftain was no longer by his side and when he asked about him, they told him he had gone to fix things with her sister. He was then informed of what Princess Lana did and how she was taken by the Highest Gunta.

"Do you know where they headed?" Darryl asked the servant. Although Princess Lana wasn't his concern anymore, he was still a bit disappointed and worried on how things went for her. He knew the Highest Gunta pretty well as he was one of the significant royal blooded in the Manggan Archipelago. He was known for his strength, bravery and as he was the head of the Gunta's, he was feared by many. As for his household, Darryl was aware of how many concubines as he was very fond of women.

"The Highest Gunta brought the Princess to his household in the Buntu hills, I had heard that the Chieftain and him agreed to make Princess Lana his legal wife," The servant explained.

"I see," Still, Darryl's expression was dimmed, doubting if it was a good choice for the princess. Although he had an idea of how politics were in the Manggan Archipelago, he still had so much to learn and so he couldn't particularly tell.

"Don't worry hero, I assure you Princess Lana is in good hands," The servant gave him some assurance because she knew he was somehow worried, "Although the Highest Gunta had so many concubines, he never really had a legal wife and he had one of the highest positions in the Manggan Archipelago. Politics wise, Princess Lana was somehow lucky. Besides, she's already past the marrying age, it was just right that she marries this time,"

"Well if you think that it's good for her to be there, then I guess let's just leave it be," He smiled at the servant in appreciation of the opinion she gave.

"Hero by the way, a Gunta came here to look for you earlier," She almost forgot to mention it and glad that it crossed her mind, "They said the Ministry in the mainland dropped off newspapers for you already. They already brought it to you house,"

"I see. Well thank you for informing me," Ever since Darryl came to the island, the Ministry dropped off newspapers for him in the par line to keep him updated about what's going on outside. The Guntas kept those newspapers for him and sent it to his house weekly every time their kitchen staff needed to buy goods in the Somer Isle. "Would you also be so kind as to inform Baruk Tam that I left already? I don't want to go the couple's chambers and disturb them at the moment,"

"Barul Tam indeed was at the couple's chambers now, he went out early this morning to attend to Princess Lana's predicament and immediately entered the chambers again after," The servant narrated to him.

"Poor Baruk, it must be hard for him to get up early after a wedding night," Darryl noted and was ready to dismiss the servant.

"Don't worry I'll send your message right away when the Baruk comes out," The servant promised and so Darryl didn't hesitate to leave already without permission. Besides, Pearl Haven was just nearby, so it would be easy for Baruk to go to his house in case he needed something.

Darryl took off, dropped by some merchant's store in the village before he went home, loaded with goods. When he stepped into the doorway, he already saw the pack of newspapers neatly laid at the corner of his veranda but he just passed through them without looking because his hands were full. He put all of the goods he brought to the kitchen first then heated some coffee before he went back to the veranda to grab some of the newspapers.

Darryl smiled seeing the name of his children at the headlines. Looks like Xhemin and his family finally decided to reveal the children's identities. There was somehow a part of him that hated the fact that the media was feasting on them but knowing that they were greatly celebrated and acknowledged warmed his heart. Finally things had been going well in the mainland and it looked like the children and his family were getting on very well, he needed not to be worried much about it.

Darryl put the newspaper down and took a sip of his coffee. It was a peaceful afternoon in Pearl Haven and although many things had kept him busy and occupied these days, his mind still lingered onto Xhemin and the kids from time to time like an old habit that was hard to let go. However unlike before, he felt unusually satisfied and  happy for how things had worked out good without him in their lives.

He had many wishes for them, wishes like a husband and a father usually have for his family. He wished that Wolfe would finally be cured and that Willow would have a great time in Rivendell. He wished that her sister Dannah would somehow find the peace and home she looked forward to having. He wished for her sister Dian to find her redemption. He wished for his mother, Madam Diana to be happy and found relief in the children he left for them and for his father, Manuel to finally let go of all his greed and selfishness.

As for his estranged wife,Xhemin, he wished for her to find happiness, somewhere, somehow, even with somebody else. She deserved all that. She deserved all the love and care she could find in this world and if only their love wasn't cursed, he wished he was the perfect one who could give it to her, but that one last wish wasn't something the universe and fate were willing to give him.

As Darryl thoughts was still with his family, suddenly it rained and it brought a tic tac sound in his whole house, he was no longer in solitude. This was what he liked most in the Manngan Archipelago, every little thing in it—even the droplets of rain, calmed and made him happy. Somehow, although he was alone and many were pitying him for it, he felt utterly accomplished and satisfied knowing that in his life, he did what he could. He dreamed with all his might and he loved with all his heart.
