Her anger came as a surprise to Darryl but then he remembered his children giving him a warning that their Imma was mad and so he wondered what got her so mad at their reunion?

Unconsciously he smiled at it because the anger he saw wasn't the type of anger that tells him she didn't want anything to do with him but that type of anger that tells him she was so madly in love with him. It reminds him of the young Xhemin, who  went on doing mischief in the name of her mad devotion for him—like the time he kissed him in the camp when he refused to recognize her. It was so amusing to watch.

"What's with the smile Darryl Lagdameo?" Her eyes went big when she saw Darryl taking her question lightly. "Do you think you can just smile at me with all the foolishness you have been doing here?"

"You didn't expect me to come home didn't you, so you went on doing all stupid things round here?" Xhemin went on nagging. "I looked around the house and had seen bottles everywhere, had you been drinking all these times? Is that the reason why you woke up this morning so late? Have you turned into a drunkard now? And don't ever lie to me, this bottle here proves you drank last night," She pointed to the counter where the empty bottle of wild gin he indeed drank last night.

Darryl didn't answer her questions because aside from its too many, it was obvious it wasn't really the reason why she went on nagging early. There was a good reason for this bad mood of hers and he was just waiting for it to unveil itself. He knew Xhemin very well and he knew she wouldn't go on nagging on what she was mad about directly.

"I dropped by the stable too," She added to her list of dislikes. "I told you I want a white horse and yet there was no white horse in the stable,"

Darryl dug into her eyes and knew right away it still wasn't the horse she was mad about. Besides, Xhemin isn't materialistic and so it was obvious the horse was just another segway.  What could she be mad about then? he wondered.

"One's connection to a horse was important. I didn't buy you one because I want you to choose which one you like in the market," Darryl answered, trying to put up a good face. He wanted to continue smiling but with Xhemin's expression right then, he chose not to. "How about we go the market after breakfast so I can get you the horse you like,"

"You have Manngan money?" Xhemin raised a brow at the thought. She remembered well they couldn't afford a horse before and that their house wasn't as grand as they had now. She even thought Pearl Haven was bought by someone else because it looked far different from it was before. Only when she was inside did she have an assurance that it was still her husband living there as although it was all turned into a stone, the structure was still the same and she could recognize Darryl's work on everything.

"I do," He said proudly. Xhemin's expression at his question gave him a more sense of self-accomplishment than he ever had in his entire life.

"Why?" She raised a brow doubting his claims. It hadn't been a year when Darryl left the mainland and so the Manggan money that he had that seemed to be overflowing got her too suspicious.

"I had some jobs," He replied.

"What jobs?" She asked as another thought came to her mind. "Or is it because you had so many gifts. Were those gifts given by your 'my love'?"

When she said that, Darryl saw her shoulder shuddered and how she clenched her fist and then he realized it was what she was so mad about. However, he remembered only saying my love in her presence but the children told him she was already made earlier. Did something happen before she came that triggered her to realize that 'my love' was real.

"So you have so many now," Xhemin added and pressed her head in frustration. "So because you had so much money now, you went on and built a concubine house…."

"A concubine house?" He returned the question wondering what she was talking about.

"Damn you! Don't act innocent! That structure there at the back side of our house, that's a concubine house right? Don't you dare lie to me, I went there and saw women's belongings, not to mention some fresh flower makeup and their filthy smell still lingered in that house!" Xhemin's intensified this time that Darryl even took a stepped back wondering how he could remedy such a situation. Damn! If only he knew that the wing Chieftain Enoch built for Princess Song would be mistaken by his wife as a concubine house, he surely would have rejected it.Now, he had to face her wrath!

"And judging from the garments that were left there, I know you had been taking some royals and princesses! How dare you go on picking up concubines when I am not around! Was this the reason you had so much money now? Those royals and princesses had been giving you gifts, right? Did they know the fact that no matter how many times they open their legs for you, they wouldn't sire you any children?"
