Their first family meal of the hero's household went on warmly. Willow and Wolfe took all the food with great joy, especially that they both could see their Imma and Appa beaming with happiness. They had so many warm moments in Hampshire with their Dada and the rest of the Dugmoch's household every meal but nothing compares to what they have now, no matter how simple their life in the Manggan Island looked.
Darryl who was still doting on his wife couldn't help but tease her even on the table. However, since their children were with them, he couldn't do so blatantly. So instead of teasing her with words, he did so by reaching out his foot to her legs under the table teasingly c.a.r.e.s.sing her soft legs while Xhemin was eating and simultaneously talking to Willow and Wolfe.
Feeling Darryl's foot on her skin immediately sponsored a blush on Xhemin's face. She turned to her husband, giving him an eye to stop and went on with her meal as if nothing was happening. However, knowing Darryl, she knew he wouldn't stop unless he gets what he wanted. She knew he was greatly upset that he didn't get to have his kiss earlier as the children unfortunately showed up unannounced and so he was there, giving her a hard time by secretly seducing her under their children's innocent noses.
Darryl was all smiles when he saw Xhemin's red face but she continued pretending she was not all feeling him. She gently pushed her husband's foot away and went on giving soup to Willow and Wolfe. The children then continued eating like no tension was happening under the table. However, Darryl wasn't in the mood for stopping so he continued pestering Xhemin.
"Later okay?" She told him, unaware that she had said the word loudly. Immediately she blushed all the more when she realized the children all heard it.
"What about later Imma?" Wolfe asked as curiosity struck him at his mother's sudden announcement. Even Willow turned to Xhemin's side anticipating an answer.
"Ahmmm…." Xhemin's throat suddenly went dry. Not able to think of something, she turned to Darryl and kicked off his feet under the table hard.
"Ouch!" Darryl shrieked but even so the smiles on his face lingered on.
"Appa are you okay?" Willow turned to him and asked, a bit worried.
"I am," He was laughing so suddenly that opted to answer the question for Xhemin to change the children's focus to something else. "Imma and I agreed to go to the market later to buy a horse. You both want to come, right?"
"Oh yes! O yes!" The children exclaimed as they got pretty excited with their Appa's words. The Manggan Island was new to them and they wanted to explore every part of it that they could.
"Alright, finish your food first so we all can rest for later," Xhemin said and the children continued eating very much looking forward to later.
"Yes, I'm so excited for the latter!" Willow was so happy with it and she wanted to finish her food all the way so they could go to the market their father told them so. Perhaps there are other interesting things there apart from horses that she can check and explore.
"Me too!" Wolfe agreed.
"Ah! Me too," Darryl joined in and went to fix his gaze at his wife whose eyes went big. He grinned at her and winked naughtily. "I'm so looking forward to latter,"
Immediately, Xhemin's face warmed up at the thought. Darryl was definitely implying something else rather than going to the market and he didn't know how to feel with that. It had been a long time since they were together and him teasing her right then made her remember all the times they had been intimate in that home. "The Guntas were very scary but they didn't frighten me," Wolfe commented remembering how those big built soldiers looked. They had weird tattoos and some piercings the boy thought were outrageous.
"But they looked fun," Willow however thought they looked kind of funny.
"They allowed the children to pass easily?" He inquired further. He knew very well how hard it is to gain entrance to the Manggan Island and so her was sure, it didn't go easy on Xhemin and the children.
"Nothing goes easy in the par line," Xhemin heaved a sigh. "Even my sunstone didn't work well since they were told the healer died. Good thing I have a princess tattoo so they had called on Chieftain Enoch to confirm my identity,"
When Xhemin became a princess, she was given a tattoo during a ritual like all the princesses of the Manggan Island have. The previous Chieftain had given her signage and the Messa's drew that signage at her back.
"Enoch was there?" Darryl was surprised but he recalled the Chieftain had left already before he woke up. "I thought he left for the Buntu Hills to attend on something,"
"Well he was there in the par line alone to welcome me," Xhemin revealed and smiled at how he had been ticked by Enoch. Her adoptive brother had told him he didn't tell Darryl about the Gunta's report of her emerging in the par line. He also asked those who knew to not tell anything to Darryl afraid it might just be a false alarm. "He brought us here safely,"
