"My feelings for Huzey made me realize something in this life," Xhemin continued. "I think that once you love a person, that love will become a part of you. It will always be in your heart no matter what and no matter how many things change. Just like my love for Huzey, it was always there, I might have not notice it but I know it had always been with me ever since...It's just that before I could even realized it….you came and I had love you more, more than I love him, more than I can ever love anyone,"

"So I guess it's wrong to say to someone that you don't love them anymore when your relationship doesn't work. You will always love them, you'll always continue to care for them, you'll always wish them all the good things in life even if you had already found the person whom you love above all the others," Xhemin added as she held onto Darryl's warmth. This time, she wished that her relationship with Darryl would be stronger than it ever was and to make such, she had to tell him everything and be as honest as possible as she could.

"I guess that's how love works, for me at least. It's not the fairytale like version of love that made me confused that for many days and made me chastise myself for not being able to comprehend why I love two persons at the same time,"

Her answer made Darryl smile in the dark with so much satisfaction as he continued to c.a.r.e.s.s her hair. However he wanted to listen to more of her words and it amused him how she came up with these things. He knew very well Xhemin was academically smart, but what they were talking about right then wasn't academics and knowing that no one had taught her these things as she had no parents left, it amazed him how deep she had gone too far in her realization about love. Perhaps all the things that she experienced in the previous years forced her to be this deep and he could only sighed at that.

"So tell me milady, how did you figure out whom you love better?" Darryl was all curious. "You said you were confused for many days, how were you able to settle which one you love less and which one you loved better?"

It was Xhemin who went silent this time.

"Milady?"

"Funny," Xhemin smiled at it unconsciously.

"Funny what?" Darryl raised a brow at her answer.

"Funny because the prince asked me the same question," Xhemin recalled. Truth was, before she came to the island, she went to talk to Huzey and he asked her the same question.

"You talked to him about this?"

"Yes and I said my goodbyes," Xhemin replied.

"I want to know what you've talked about," Darryl demanded. "Don't miss a single details,"

"Alright I'll tell you," Xhemin answered and there in the dark, she narrated how things went with her and the prince.

Hampshire

Xhemin strode past the halls of Montarini manor. She was there to see Huzey who had been so busy the past few weeks just like her. Huzey had all been occupied with so many things all specially relating to the Montarini estates. Since it had been proved that they weren't the one negligent when the Montarini Mining exploded, he launched many cases to retrieve all the properties the government and some private organizations took or at least a compensation for it. He very much wished to restore the glory of their family and clear out their name. When time comes, he also wished to let people know that he was still alive.

When Xhemin found him in his personal office, he found him stroking a brush into a canvas. His apron was on and his focus was all into it he didn't even notice her opening the door.

"I thought you were terribly busy and yet here you are painting," She announced and only then did the prince notice her presence.

"Break time," He shrugged and directed his eyes to the pile of paper works neatly placed on his table. "I'll die if I won't take a break,"

"You need more people you know," Xhemin commented, amazed at how neat his desk was and his office even when it was loaded with doc.u.ments. Huzey had always been a clean freak that most of the time made Xhemin and Ziggy feel they were too damn messy to be his best friends.

"I'm already hiring a few," He replied. "But I'm just hiring back few employees and few new ones to replace those who cannot come back anymore,"

"Good," Xhemin replied and walked deeper into the room, on the corner where Huzey was painting.

"Did you miss me or you need something?" he asked.

"Hmmmm...both?"

"hahah,"Huzey giggled a bit at her answer. Seeing him smile always warms Xhemin's heart as it has been a long time that he can smile on simple things. She saw him put his paintbrush and take off his painting apron before he invited her, "Come sit here with me,"

Xhemin obediently sat beside him and as always, the prince c.a.r.e.s.sed her hair lovingly when she settled. Even when they had grown up, Xhemin still felt like Huzey had never changed, he was still the same and even when he confessed to her about his feelings, things only became awkward for a while but it faded in just a few days.

"Since it's really hard not to miss my pretty face, then I won't ask why you miss me," He teased.

"You should stop spending more time with Ziggy, you start sounding like his goodness gracious!" Xhemin let go of an exaggerated expression when she said that.

"Hahahah," He was amused. "Jealous eh?"

"You guys are so unfair, you always have a boy's night out and go off together without minding my feelings. Previously I understood that I can't go because I'm a minor now that I'm no longer a little miss, you both should change the rules," Xhemin nagged, referring to the fact that Ziggy and Huzey were always spending time together these days.

"It's called boy's night out because girls are not allowed," he replied casually.
