After the week, when the visit in the Hero's household was all finished, Lady Si set a trip for the Xhemin and her handmaiden to the east mountain. They were joined by Highest Lady Maru and her maiden's, as well as Princess Songs. Since Baruk Tam and Darryl could not come as they had prior commitments in another village because of the irrigation project, the ladies then were just accompanied by some Guntas. Willow and Wolfe however were left at the Chieftain's household care as they were too young to join the long prayers.

The moment they arrived, the women fasted and had dropped down on their knees to offer their prayers. Xhemin just went on the flow and also offered her prayers just like how the other ladies did. She was familiar with the ritual they were doing and so to offer her respect, she followed all that was required of her, especially that it was her household who hosted such a pilgrimage.

The prayers went on for hours and when they were finished, Xhemin had gone so exhausted she slept right away. It had been agreed that they were to stay there for a night and so Lady Si made sure everyone had a place to sleep. Besides, the house in the east mountain was well maintained as Messa's already considered it as a temple.

The next morning, Xhemin woke up early. She had dreamed of the professor the night before and so her morning was full of thoughts of him. Wanting to reminisce about her time with the late professor, she went into his chambers, the one he had used prior to his death.

She remembered that prior to her marrying the hero, Aki Owen's live in Baruk Tsu's village but villagers told him that after she left his custody, the Aki spent all his time in the east mountain so she knew most of his things were still there. The Messa's who were maintaining the property also told her that they had kept the whole place as it was and so all his things were still kept in place.

When she opened the room, Xhemin smiled bitterly at the familiarity of it. How the books were arranged, how dried leaves had been hung  up in the ceiling and how his table was filled with bottles and crickets she had no idea what for. It seemed that he used such a room not only for his rest but also for his research and studies.

Curious as to what he had been studying about before his death, Xhemin opened some of her notes and journals. For a while she read and read but found nothing peculiar but rather just the new list of plants and all their uses that the professor compiled. She also found his notes on how to make tonics and medicines but rather than that, nothing really caught much of her interest. It's not that the notes he left weren;t significant, they all are, it was just that Xhemin was hoping she could find something, something that would probably explain his sudden demise. She knew the professor very well and he is not the type that would die of a wild animal attack and get eaten by it. There has to be something, something that would make her at peace on why he died on such a terrible death.

Xhemin pulled more of his books and notes but the more she read, the more she got frustrated at things. She gave up after a while and lay exhaustedly at the professor's bed wondering what he had been up to before he died. While thinking through things, she remembered something and she scanned the whole room to look for it.

She had not found the professor's personal journal. A professor like him should have one, like her all the doctors and Rivendell graduates she knew. The old man could have kept some and so she rummaged through the whole room for it. She was already expecting that such a journal would be hard to find as of course, it was supposed to be very confidential and so,  Xhemin patiently looked for it. She thought of all the possible places he would hide it but there was just none.

"Impossible," Xhemin thought. "If he died suddenly, without him expecting his death, then he must have left his journal here. But I can't find one. Did he perhaps bring it with him in the forest and lose it there? But if his intention was just to gather a significant plant, he should have not brought his journal. Besides, he had been in Manggan Island for so long, he should have at least ten or twenty journals already but not one can be found,"

"Arrrg! Professor Owens is sometimes hard to read," Xhemin was annoyed that she couldn't find any clue as to his death. "Perhaps he had not kept any journal at all,"

While Xhemin was full of her thoughts, the door somehow opened and a beautiful familiar woman appeared. She was indeed beautiful with her ocean blue eyes and caramel hair  but her expression was all a mess and it looked like she had not slept for many nights as a dark circle formed beneath her eyes.

"Healer!" The sight of Xhemin have the girl much of a relief as if she had found her salvation. She immediately dropped on her knees and kneeled in front of her. "Healer, it is I, princess Lana! I was once your sister in the Chieftain's house! Healer, please help me! Help me! You are the one who can save me now!"

"Princess Lana?" Xhemin of course knew her as she once was a princess in the Chieftain's household and of course she knew all her sisters there. She and the girl weren't particularly close but they also weren't enemies. It was just that her time in the Chieftain's household was short and so she didn't have much time building relationships with the other princesses. "What happened to you?"

"Healer, I know you have a heart of a princess although you aren't exactly one and so I know you will heed the visions of Illa Durray! Help me fulfill her visions! Help me let them understand that it should not be ignored!"
