Illa Durray was forced to retire in her chambers as she had gone too weak after she said her visions, which they all considered as the Last set of visions. Illa Durray as per everyone's knowledge was the last seer and no one among the new breeds of Manggan people had shown any potential of becoming the next seer. This worried Enoch the most, as although they had long ignored the services of seers, he understood and felt their importance.

With all that took place and with the Last set of visions that was foretold, Enoch hurried back to the central village to conduct a council meeting. He however exempted Xhemin and Darryl from it as it seemed that the healer needed her rest. Although it wasn't certain, he wasn't taking any risk on Xhemin since Illa Durray said she was pregnant with the child foretold as the bridge.

With that, Xhemin was sent home with her handmaiden and her husband. Carriages were provided for them too to make their journey more convenient. On the way, Xhemin was so loud as she was protesting Enoch's decisions and treatment about her, labelling them as foolish.

"I can't believe Enoch would ban me from the council meeting," Xhemin nagged. She really wanted to be there and see what things were to be discussed. She was certain it would be about the Last Visions.

"Enoch is just being a careful healer," Maru told her. She and Princess Song joined the couple in their carriage. Baruk Tam however had to accompany Enoch to the council meeting so it was only the four of them who journeyed back to the Somer Isles. "Besides we had just came from the east mountain, we needed to have a good rest,"

"Indeed," Princess Song agreed. The girl noticed that Darryl was just quiet as if contemplating on some things. Truth was Princess Song had questions for him as it seemed that everything that Illa Durray said, he understood pretty well. It was like he had interpretations for it. "Hero, I have something to ask. Illa Durray gave you quite complicated words earlier and you seemed to have understood them. What did she mean when she said something about drinking blood ?"

Darryl gave her a look and calmly replied. "My princess when I came here I had gained blood brothers,"

"Baruk Tam and the Chieftain I guess," Princess Song guessed that part. "They were the brothers she was referring to,"

"Yes," Darryl confirmed. "We became blood brothers not just by name but also by deed. That deed was the blood compact we made in the Somer Isles when I came. We drink each other's blood,"

"So you drank their blood. One droplet from Enoch and one from Baruk Tam," The Princess thought. "So that's two. There's  will two pregnancies?"

"Three. My own blood is counted," He explained. "I guess there will be three pregnancies,"

"Three?" Xhemin looked at Darryl with thorough incredulity. "You seriously think I can bear another more after this? Seriously Darryl? That's not going to happen. We will stop at the second if I am indeed pregnant now,"

Maru and Princess Song giggled at the conversation of the couple.

"What can I do, that is one that Illa Durray said,"

"Willow, Wolfe and another one is enough," Xhemin  couldn't believe all this revelation. Although she loved having children, to raise many of them was a serious matter, not to mention the struggles of being pregnant. "To have a fourth one would be…I don't want to think about it. Jeez! I seriously don't want to have this conversation now because I might not be pregnant at all,"

"My love I don't think it's just going to be four. Remember I asked Illa Durray how many you have this time?"

"She said only one," Xhemin surely remembered and was glad to know. She remembered how hard it was for her to have carried three in her wȯmb. Perhaps having just one wouldn't be hard as it was.

"But then she added, the next will be many," Darryl grinned. If Illa Durray's visions were indeed true, then what a happy ending would be for his family. They'll surely love to have more Lagdameo heirs.

"Oh God!" Xhemin cupped her head when she remembered it. "Tell me I'm not going to have twins or triplets again in the future!"

"No one knows," Darryl shrugged. "Don't worry my interpretation might not be correct but we should be careful. Enoch was right to send us home,"

"But it is important that we should be there in the council meeting and —"

"Milady…." Darryl cut her off and gave her an eye. "We are to go home and rest. You just came from a pilgrimage and even if you are pregnant or not, it is a must that you not tire yourself. Its been few days also that we haven't seen our children,"

Xhemin quieted at Darry's stares. She caught what he meant. The very main reason why he chose to live on Manggan Island was because he wanted them to have a simple and peaceful life and her, obsessing with the politics of Manggan Island was contrary to what they promised themselves. Darryl had always let her do whatever she wished but he knew when to cut her off when she breaks through the limits and her insistence of going to the council meeting was one of these.

The carriage fell in silence and so Princess Song chose to open up a box to offer them all snacks. She was aware they had not eaten much and so having some might help filling up their hungry stomachs.

"What is that?" Xhemin seemed to have caught the smell.

"Just strawberries healer. I managed to pick some in the east mountain," Princess Song opened the snack box in full and offered some to her. "Here healer, come and eat. This is your favorite,"

"Nah. I don't feel like eating one," She declined and lazily leaned on her seat.

The two—Maru and Princess Song's eyes went big at her refusal. They both looked at each other surprised and were silently screaming in victory.

"What's wrong?" Darryl asked as he caught their weird expression.

"Hero strawberries are the healer's favorite," Princess Song suddenly was so happy she felt like crying.

"I am very aware,"

"Look Hero. You might have not known because you left the island a few years ago even before you knew your wife was pregnant," Maru started. "We had never heard the healer refused any strawberries before no matter how full she was but when she got pregnant, she refused to have them,"

"The only time she refused to eat strawberries was when she was pregnant with your firstborns," Princess Song affirmed Maru's words, her tears already flowing. "I think the healer is indeed pregnant,"

Darryl jolted from his seat when he heard it. Although Illa Durray said it, it still seemed impossible so they both didn't give it much of a thought. Now that things like this were happening, his heart was warming up. He immediately turned to his wife who only gave him a complicated look.

"Don't expect too much on—oh shoot!" Xhemin cupped her mouth when her nostrils caught a weird smell coming from the princess Song snack box. Her stomach turned and in just a while she hurried to open the carriage window and vomit.

"Halt the carriage!" Darryl shouted as he ċȧrėssed Xhemin's back. As soon as they heard it, the rider halted the carriage and immediately Xhemin ran out to the roadside. She vomited more and this time she held onto her stomach helplessly and was feeling nauseated. Her handmaiden from the other carriages saw this and so they came to attend to her.

Darryl followed her too, worried.

"Get her some water," Maru charged the other handmaiden's and someone went fetch some.

"Milady, are you okay?" Darryl squeezed himself through the flock of handmaidens to reach her.

His wife went pale and she looked very exhausted.

"I'm okay but…." She cupped her head and felt her head was turning, still. "I want to rest,"

Darryl waited until her vomiting stopped and when she felt a little better, Darryl carried her to the carriage and asked the rider to drive fast. As he stepped in, Princess Song called for a messenger to bring some news to the central village.

"Hurry to the central village and announce that the healer had already shown some symptoms of pregnancy,"

When Xhemin heard this, she turned to Darryl to see his expression, it was complicated.

"Do you think I'm pregnant?" she asked.

"Sshh… Just rest. We'll see when we come home, I'll send for a physician,"  Darryl told her and let her rest on his ċhėst, hoping that it was indeed pregnancy that caused his wife's sudden sickness. It's not bad to hope anyway so he held onto such a possibility. In a while, Xhemin managed to sleep in his arms and so the journey back to the Somer Isle became smooth.
