"Thank you," Darryl was glad and smiled at how good his conversation with Ziggy was. Their relationship had improved so well the past few weeks specially with the letters they were corresponding. "So how are your papers going on? Did you get approval from the ministry?"
"I don't know. It had been a month since I passed approval of crossing the par line but no avail," Ziggy replied honestly. "Don't tell Xhemin yet I haven't told her about this,"
The very first letter that Ziggy sent to Darryl had some instructions for Professor Owens about the Acamilla Apparaus plant and Darryl replied to him with the news that the professor died.
With such news, Ziggy decided to enter the island himself so he can personally study the plant and continue some of the research professor Owen's left. He knew Xhemin can do these tasks but this was a very complicated project, she needed help for it to work and Ziggy was the perfect guy for that next to the late professor. This made him send applications to the Ministry about entering the island but until then he had gotten no response about it.
"Perhaps you should make recommendations for me," He asked Darryl. He knew he was very influential in the island and the Ministry so one recommendation would secure his approval. "Since Xhemin is pregnant, you'll need an expert to look after her. Not to mention I am entering the island to find a cure for your son,"
"I didn't make recommendations because I am confident you can get one without my help," Darryl revealed to him.
"But I'm growing impatient over it. A little help to fasten it won't hurt," Ziggy just wanted a free pass right away because the truth was he was worried about Xhemin and wanted to make sure she goes to the pregnancy without complications. Out of all the people, he was the person who knew she had a hard time giving birth previously. "Besides, your families are really worried about this pregnancy. If you will let me in, their worries will disappear knowing how good of a doctor I am,"
Ziggy blackmailed and winked at him but his plea ended abruptly when Xhemin came out from the tent.
"What recommendations are you two talking about?" Xhemin's eyes glare straight right through Ziggy. "Ziggorioh? What nonsense are you doing?"
"I have nothing to do with this," Darryl walked away from Ziggy and went to appease his wife.
"Ah you Lagdameor heir! You are such a traitor!" Ziggy cussed and started walking away not wanting to meet Xhemin's fury. He knew she would be mad if she would tell him he would enter the island as she had big dreams for Ziggy in the mainland. She didn't want to hinder his greatness and stuck him on an island where there was nothing for him.
"Ziggorioh how dare you walk away from me!" Xhemin shouted at his back, very angry. She heard enough to know Ziggy was planning on entering the island and she didn't want it. Ziggy was a great doctor, he was meant to be the next Doctor Miles in the mainland and she sure did not want him to be stuck on the island with her. His situation was different from her as Ziggy was a bachelor and his future was big. Going to the island would only hinder his greatness. "Ziggorioh come back here! Ziggy!"
"Milady, don't be mad. It's not good for the baby," Darryl appeased as he withheld a laugh seeing Ziggy running away.
"How could you be okay with this? And you even planned to give him recommendations!"
"Eh? It's his plan. He just wanted to help you with the Acamilla Apparaus as he was worried about Wolfe. Just let him be, he is not going to stay forever I think,"
"As if he can leave once he enters!"
"Who knows? Just let him do whatever he wants," Darryl tried to push some sense into it. He perfectly understood Xhemin's point but he was seeing great changes in the Manggan Island during his stay and he knew it wouldn't be long before the laws about roux blooded would be relaxed.
"Darryl, did you plan this both behind my back?" Xhemin's fury was on him now. "How dare you? How dare you both!"
Xhemin squeezed herself and crossed the par line to enter her carriage alone. Darryl only scratched his head cursing Ziggy for leaving him alone to suffer Xhemin's fury. That Montreal sire! He with a deep sight, followed his wife and readied himself for long lamentations.

Her pregnancy then was going well and that since it had been long since she gave birth, her insides were so ready for another child. She was even told she can have a natural birth, even when she had a cesarean the last time since she was only carrying one and that her pregnancy was healthy. Besides being still very young, she can manage a natural birth without much complications.
When they reached the Somer Isles village, Darryl had to drop by for some important errands so Xhemin was sent home alone with the handmaidens in her company. When she reached their house, she was surprised to see a big cart on the entry way being pulled by a horse. It was parked there safely and she was left wondering who brought it since she had never seen such a cart before.
When Xhemin descended in her carriage she was welcomed by another handmaiden announcing that a guest came to visit her. Xhemin wondered who it could be but after a while, she saw a young man standing on the patio's end with big smiles. He looked so familiar but Xhemin did not know who he was. The only thing she noticed was that he was wearing a gunta clothing and so she knew he must be one.
"Hello healer, I hope you still remember me," He welcomed her with greetings. "It is I, Bitbit. Professor Owen's errand boy,"
"O my!" Xhemin was so surprised with the announcement she was left unable to speak for a moment. Bitbit had changed very much physically and there was nothing of the little boy she once knew except from his eyes. "I had been looking for you! Bitbit! How nice was it for you to visit me!"
"It is also my great joy to see you healer," Bitbit replied. "Baruk Tsu told me that you indeed looked for but I was away on training since I had become a Gunta,"
"That's what he told me," Xhemin's was so glad with his appearance then. Bitbit was once very helpful in all her ventures and so she was always thankful for your help. "I'm glad you came to visit. I somehow thought you had forgotten about me already,"
"How could I healer?" Bitbit smiled genuinely at it. "However I didn't come here just to see you. I came for some errands too. When I heard that you came back in the camp, I did ask for permission to leave the camp and halt of my training so I can see you see,"
"Then your errand must be very important then," Xhemin wondered what it was. For Bitbit to ask for leave in his training was really a big inconvenience on his part and so she wondered how important it was.
