Axel's PoV:

"Now I don't have to trouble myself on searching vegetables and fruits in nearby forests."

I said in relief while I spectated the situation of the life and death battle of Catherine Smith.

Catherine Smith was fighting against a great forest bear.

The great forest bear was twice as huge as a grizzly bear.

It wielded 10 centimeter sharp claws that could slice of a huge tree as if it was butter.

The great forest bear's fur had been light green and its fur allowed it to camouflage in tall grass if it lied down.

The reason why I had used the great forest bear as a sparring partner for Catherine was that it could cut off any trees or plants that Catherine would manipulate.

The great forest bear also had a strength that was only a bit weaker than the fire lion king.

I observed the fight of Catherine against the great forest bear.

The great forest bear ran towards her at a moderate speed due to its body.

Catherine didn't run but instead, she dropped her hoe and swiftly took out a green-colored seed from her small storage bag that was located on the left side of her waist.

She injected her mana into the brown-colored seed and threw it towards the great forest bear.

The great forest bear was focused on attacking Catherine so it didn't dodge the seed that Catherine had thrown.

The green-colored seed stuck on the great forest bear's fur that was located at its stomach.

Before the great forest bear was a meter away from Catherine, she channeled her mana towards her feet and ran away from the great forest bear towards the left.

Catherine had let out a burst of mana from her feet which allowed her to dash at a quick speed.

The great forest bear pursued Catherine but it wasn't able to catch up with Catherine since Catherine was much faster than it after she activated her skill.

Catherine ran in circles and the great forest bear followed her.

I had noticed that she had left out a trail of mana from her footprints.

After Catherine completed a lap around the circle she had run at, Catherine had left a circle of footprints and she ran towards the center of that circle.

The great forest bear followed Catherine and as the great forest bear was 2 meters away from Catherine, she sprinted away from the center of the circle.

Catherine halted after she entered the edge of the circle.

Before the great forest bear was at the center of the circle, Catherine snapped her fingers.

"Vine Bind!"

She shouted the name of her skill.

The brown-colored seed that was stuck on the great forest bear's fur had sprouted into thick green vines that entangled and bound the great forest bear's limbs.

The great forest bear fell on the ground after its movement was restrained which caused a tremor on the ground and it exactly fell at the center of the circle.

The great forest bear struggled using all of its force which caused the thick green vines to show signs of being torn apart.

Catherine quickly removed the small storage bag that was on the left side of her waist and infused at least a third of her mana.

She threw the small storage bag towards the great forest bear.

"Vine Cocoon!"

After Catherine chanted that, the seeds that were inside the small storage bag grew into thick green vines which tore the small storage bag.

The thick green vines rapidly wrapped around the great forest bear like a cocoon.

"Vines Of Thorn!"

Catherine cast her magic which turned the thick vines into vines of thorns that were similar to a stem of a rose but were much sharper.

The thorn of the vines penetrated a layer of the great forest bear's skin which caused the great forest bear to bleed and its blood leaked out from the gaps of the cocoon that was made out of thorny vines.

I detected using my mana that the great forest bear was still alive.

It seemed that the thorn of the vines wasn't long enough to pierce the great forest bear's heart or any other vital organs.

Catherine should have also noticed that the great forest bear was still alive because she removed the remaining small storage bag that was on her waist.

Catherine took out all of the green-colored seeds that were on the small storage bag and placed it into her hands.

Catherine filled the seeds with her mana and threw them in mid-air.

"Godly Farming Technique- planting the seeds at the chosen spot!"

Catherine yelled and then the green-colored seeds went towards the footprints that she had left.

"Plant!"

The green-colored seeds were planted into the soil that had remnants of Catherine's mana.

"Grow!"

The seeds that were planted at Catherine's footprints had sprouted light green-colored vines that had a sharp spike on its edge.

Catherine snapped her fingers which compelled the light green-colored vines to go near the cocoon of vines of thorn.

Catherine waved her hand and the cocoon revealed only the head of the great forest bear.

The great forest bear growled in pain since both of its eyes had been pierced by the thorn of the vine that was stuck on it.

"Pierce!"

The light green-colored sharp vines pierced the head of the great forest bear which rendered the great forest bear dead.

I had also double-checked using the contract between the great forest bear and me and it had become invalid due to the great forest bear's death.

I did not felt any sorrow that the great forest had died even though it's my contracted beast since I only treated it as a stepping stone of the junior heroes' growth.

I was instead relieved that Catherine wasn't injured or was in a near-death condition since it would be a pain in the neck to waste my mana.

Catherine canceled her skill but it only removed the cocoon that was made out of thorny vines and not the light green-colored vines on the great forest bear's head.

I checked the status of the great forest bear's dead body and it was covered in blood and vines were impaled on its head.

Catherine also had checked the body to see if it was dead or not.

Even though she had confirmed that it was dead, she still picked her hoe that she had dropped earlier.

Catherine imbued her mana into the tip of her hoe and she slammed her hoe towards the great forest bear's dead body to chop its body.

"Now that I think about it, why didn't Catherine use her hoe to fight against the great forest bear's body?", I asked Aerin.

"I had told Catherine not to use her hoe as a weapon against any monster that is in the Monster's Abode as a part of her training. I had only allowed her to use her hoe if it's an emergency or if the monster she has fought against is dead.", Aerin replied.

I observed what Catherine was up to. She had already dug a pit and she moved the sliced dead body of the great forest bear towards the pit.

After she had put the dead body of the great forest bear into the pit, she closed the pit.

Was it even necessary to bury the dead body?

Catherine could have just left and let nature decompose it or was it because she wanted to turn it into a fertilizer?

Well anyway, it was none of my concern so I should just mind my own business.

I averted my gaze towards Catherine and observed the situation of the other heroes instead.

Alex had not yet defeated the small black shadow cat but his power had improved.

The clones of the small black shadow cat had surrounded Alex and were pouncing towards him at a fast speed.

Alex wielded his mana sword and swiftly slashed the clones of the black shadow cat.

Alex was now able to perceive the attacks of the black shadow cat even if it was an attack from behind or his blind spots.

Alex eliminated the clones from behind and at the same, he conjured another mana sword to fight against the other clones.

Alex seemed to had been toying against the small black shadow cat and he also hadn't killed it to train himself.

After knowing that Alex was fine, I then checked on to see if Distere was faring well against the treant.

Distere had already killed the treant and even turned it into a wooden carving of an anime figurine.

Distere's knife techniques had improved to the point that his wooden carving had more vivid details as if it was the real deal and had a smooth texture despite using only a kitchen knife.

Distere was now finding a way out of the obscuring array that I had trapped him inside with.

Every time Distere had reached the end of the obscuring array, he would unconsciously walk in another direction.

Distere held his knife tightly and performed a fighting stance.

"If I can't get past it, then I'll just break it!"
