The treant attacked me by creating multiple wooden spikes from its body and thrusting them towards me.
I parried it with my knife and sliced off bits of wood from the treant's wooden spikes.
The treant repeatedly stabbed and pulled its wooden spikes to attack me and regenerated the wood that its spikes lost.
The treant increased its attack speed whenever a minute passed by.
Before, I had a hard time dealing with the treant because it didn't need to recover its stamina due to not having stamina since its body was made out of wood.
I had run out of stamina when I had countered the attacks of the treant but by forcing my body to keep on attacking it, my speed had increased.
I used my mana to remove the strain on my muscles and made my body lighter.
At first, it was painful to move my body due to fatigue and I endured it but as time passed by, my body slowly adapted and withstood the pain.
Now, I was able to contend against the treant's attack speed and even surpassed it.
I effortlessly countered the wooden spike attacks of the treant.
My stats wouldn't increase no matter how I fought against the treant so I decided to eliminate it.
The treant attacked me with barrages of spikes but I effortlessly dodged it.
I ran towards the treat while dodging its attack to close off the distance between the treant and me.
As I was getting closer towards the treant, its roots protruded from the ground and attempted to bind me.
I noticed the treant's roots in time so I evaded it and cut off the roots that tried to block my path.
I was now a meter away from the treant so I held my knife, channeled my mana towards my lower body, and released it through my feet which created a burst of mana.
I launched my body towards the treant and I enhanced my body's speed using my skill known as [Speed Enhancement].
By increasing my speed temporarily, the time around me felt like it had slowed down.
My body was still in mid-air and was gradually moving towards the treant.
As the treant had reached my knife's attacking range, I used my wood carving skills to swiftly sliced off the treant's wood bit by bit.
I imbued my mana towards my knife to smoothly and precisely carved the treant into an anime figurine.
I stabbed the treant's body where the core was located and pierced the core.
I used my mana to release it from my side to propel myself away from the treant.
I performed a somersault and landed my feet on the ground.
I canceled my [Speed Enhancement] skill which made me experienced that the time around me went back to normal.
My knife techniques which I had used to carve and eliminate the treant had gone into effect.
The chunk of woods that I had sliced off from the treant when I was in slow motion had fallen off.
If it was witnessed by an ordinary person, it looked like I had passed through the treant and teleported in here while the chunk of woods from the treant fell on its own.
I had chopped the wood from the treant at high speed.
Not wasting any more time, I observed the result of my wood carving.
It was an anime figurine with long hair and a short dress.
The anime figurine that I created was still considered to be an incomplete work since I saw some rough edges on its surface.
I held my knife in my right arm and went towards the treant's body that was now an anime figurine.
After I arrived in front of the anime figurine, I channeled my mana into my knife and used focused my mana on the edge of the knife.
I materialized the mana that was in the edge of my knife to form a concave edge.
I used my mana-infused knife to scrape off the rough edges on my wooden anime figurine to smoothen its surface.
After that was all done, I could now proudly present that it was my original work that was inspired by the anime culture from another world which is my home planet.
It was now time to get out of this place. I had wondered why the other heroes and I had separated from each other.
The heroes and I stuck together and walked on the same path yet I had discovered that the heroes I had accompanied were just an illusion.
There was even a monster that had waited for me to arrive and fought against it.
It was strange that it was all a coincidence. I admit that I'm not smart but I'm not a fool either.
I had strayed from Alex and the other heroes and then a monster had waited for me. Surely it wasn't just a mere coincidence.
There might not be that many monsters that had developed intelligence that was on par with an average human so I am confident to assume that someone was behind all of this.
The one behind this might be one of the senior heroes and Axel might have been the mastermind since he's the leader of the other senior heroes.
But I am still not sure if my assumption was correct since I had not fully known what Axel's abilities were.
I might not know who the mastermind was but I'm sure that Axel was involved.
I suppose that it wouldn't help me get out of here even if I knew who it was. The mastermind might be spectating the other heroes and me right now.
Well, screw it!
Even though I had already attempted to get out of this place and it was still a failure, it wouldn't hurt to try again, right?
I stomped my foot on the ground which left a deep footprint on it. My purpose in that action was to leave a mark to determine if I was walking in circles or not.
I ran towards the trees in a straight direction but I end up in the same place where I had left my footprint at.
I attempted to run in other directions and even tried to run in several different patterns but it was all in vain.
Since running was no longer an option, I tried to walk slowly and observed the changes in my surrounding.
As I stepped into what I thought was the edge of the forest, the place where my starting point was located was what I had witnessed in front of me.
I turned my back to see what was behind me and I saw that my starting point was also located behind me.
I did not know what skill was used to create that kind of effect but I knew that magic was the cause of all of that.
If I can't get out of this place by walking in different directions then I might as well resort to plan B.

I held my knife tightly and performed a fighting stance.
"If I can't get past it, then I'll just break it!"
Axel had once told me that if I can't solve something by relying on intelligence, then resort to using violence. He even told me that it worked like a charm.
I directed my mana towards my knife and slashed off the trees or whatever that were in front of me.
The trees were all destroyed in an instant.
I blinked my eyes and in a blink of an eye, both literally and metaphorically, the trees were now repaired as if I did not destroy them.
Even so, I kept on slashing and cutting the trees, grasses, and another object that was in front of me.
"Have you observe what your disciple has performed, Mentor Axel. Mentor Axel, your disciple has lived up to your teachings!"
I halted my attacks and concentrated on flowing 80 percent of my mana into my knife.
I condensed the mana inside my knife to make sure that it wouldn't leak out and to build up force into my knife.
I stepped my left foot forward and built up momentum.
After a few minutes of accumulating mana into my knife, the force inside my knife went rampant so I slashed my knife in front of me and released the pent-up force inside my knife.
The released energy inside my knife caused the space to tear off.
I threw a stone towards the tear-off space and it wasn't destroyed so I assumed that it was safe.
The torn-off space gradually closed so I quickly went towards it and entered it.

Axel's PoV:
Distere had destroyed only the arrays that I had trapped him inside the forest with.
My array that was supposed to repair the forest inside Distere's training ground wasn't even able to repair the damages that Distere's ultimate attack had caused in time but at least it was repaired.
I checked the place where Distere was at.
Distere had arrived at the training ground of Ferros and he might interrupt the battle of Ferros against the forest slime king.
It might also be a good thing. After all, Ferros was on the verge of dying.
