Ferros wipe off the dust in his hand and shirt.
Ferros looked behind him and saw Distere that was lying on the ground and currently unconscious.
"I sure made myself an embarrassment. But that no longer matters! Because I, Ferros Malum, have been reborn and my strength is much more destructive than ever!"
Ferros shouted and he took a deep breath as he controlled his mana around his body.
Ferros had cheated death because of my help and now he boasted and acted as nothing had happened.
Ferros was such an airhead who only thought about destroying things and not even thanking his savior or repaying the gratitude.
"Alex! Even though this Lord Of Destruction is a person who only thought about destroying everything, this lord will spare his arrogance and thank you for your help!"
Ferros spoke towards me and looked at Distere.
"If that kid wakes up, tell him that I said thanks for his help!", Ferros added.
It seemed that I was mistaken about Ferros' personality. It's a good thing that he wasn't an ungrateful person.
I shift my gaze towards the forest slime king and pointed my finger towards it in a handgun position.
I directed some of my remaining mana towards my finger and compressed the mana in it.
I created a mana bullet that wasn't released yet and concentrated my eyes to see where the core of the forest slime king was located at.
I saw a medium-sized core inside the forest slime king's body that was constantly moving around its body.
I pointed my finger towards the forest slime king, released the mana bullet at full speed, and tried my luck in shooting its core.
The mana bullet passed through the forest slime king's body which left a small hole on its body that was regenerated in a flash.
The forest slime king's body did not disintegrate which indicated that it wasn't dead and I had missed hitting the forest slime king's core.
"I'll handle the forest slime king on my own. After all, it is my enemy, to begin with. You should focus on recovering your mana so that you would be able to save Distere's life."
Ferros told me and he then went towards the forest slime king.
Ferros battled against the forest slime king head-on while I went towards Distere.
I checked up on Distere's condition and it seemed that Distere would die in 3 minutes or so.
Distere's condition was much worst than Ferros even though Ferros was inside the forest slime king longer than Distere.
Distere's lungs were almost filled with sticky slime and if I don't remove it pronto, then Distere would certainly die.
I guessed that the reason why Ferros had less sticky slime stuck inside his body was that Ferros had destruction magic so his remaining mana was used to destroy most of the sticky slime inside his body.
I only had at least 2% of my mana left and I needed at least 10% of my mana to completely expel the sticky slime inside Distere's body.
I did not want to waste any more time so I sat down and meditated to recover my mana quickly by absorbing the mana in the surrounding.
While I was recovering my mana, I observed the battle of Ferros against the forest slime king.
The forest slime king shot multiple balls of sticky slime but it was destroyed by Ferros using his hand to touch the balls of sticky slimes that were heading towards him.
The forest slime king attacked Ferros continuously using none other than its balls of sticky slime that it had hurled towards Ferros.
Ferros did not decide to dodge the forest slime king's attack since its attack would hit Distere and me instead.
Ferros released his mana and manipulated it to create a flat barrier in front of him that looked like a rectangular mirror.
The flat barrier blocked the incoming attacks of the forest slime king and as soon as the balls of sticky slime came in contact with the flat barrier, it instantly destroyed the balls of sticky slime.
Ferros was in a much more advantageous position in his battle against the forest slime king which made me wonder why did he even got defeated by the forest slime king in the first place.
It might be either because of his arrogance, ignorance, or stupidity that had caused him to create an opening for the forest slime king to attack him and later got caught in the end.
If not for that, then this situation wouldn't have escalated to the point that three heroes were involved in the battle against the forest slime king.
The forest slime king decided to attack Ferros by creating a massive ball of sticky slime and it hurled it towards him.
Ferros simply destroyed the attack by blocking it using his flat barrier that was made out of destruction mana.
Ferros' mana had a special attribute that was destroyed and it would be able to destroy anything that it came in contact with.
His destruction of mana enabled him to destroy anything that he applied his mana into and helped him live longer than Distere by destroying the foreign objects that were inside his body.
The massive ball of sticky slime that wasn't destroyed by Ferros' flat barrier had its remnants to be splattered all over the forest.
I was able to react fast enough to create a mana shield around Distere and me to protect ourselves from the residues of the massive ball of sticky slime.
I had 9% mana of my mana left before I created the mana shield but now I only had 8% mana left.
It further delayed the time to recover my mana and help Distere in removing the sticky slime inside his body.
At least I protected both Distere and me from the sticky slime that was hard to get rid of so it was worth it, I guess.
*Host, it certainly wasn't worth it! Distere only have a minute left before he would die!*
I'll enforce a temporary recovery for Distere first since my mana wasn't enough to completely remove all of the sticky slimes inside his body.
But by doing so, it would increase his suffering if he ever woke up.
I hurriedly went towards Distere and placed my hand towards his chest.

The clock was ticking so I did my best to improve my speed.
I transferred 5% of my mana towards Distere's body and controlled it after it got inside his body.
I manipulated my mana and directed it towards Distere's lungs and slowly expelled the sticky slime inside Distere's lungs out of his mouth.

I had to carefully remove the sticky slime that was stuck inside his lungs since it might tear off bits of its lungs because of the sticky slime's adhesiveness.
I expelled all of the sticky slimes inside Distere's body and all that was left was to make him breathe.
*15 seconds left!*
I controlled the flow of oxygen inside his lungs until his lungs were able to breathe.
*10 seconds left!*
I channeled all of my mana into both of my palms and create electric currents on them.
*5 seconds left!*
I slammed both of my electrified palms towards Distere's chest which forcefully woke him up because of the shock and increased his heartbeat.
"Cough. Cough. What happened?"
Distere asked me while observing the surrounding.
I told Distere what had happened after I had broken the protective array, passed through the array, and arrived in this part of the forest.
I also told him about the time where I saw him inside the forest slime king's body until the current time.
"I see."
Distere muttered as he looked down and digested the information that I had given him.
"Both of us will take a rest and focus on recovering our power. Ferros will try to stall time in dealing with the forest slime king until both of us have recovered at least a third of our power."
I instructed Distere about our plan and Distere agreed.
Both of us then sat with our legs crossed and started recovering our mana.
Distere and I observed the battle of Ferros against the forest slime king so that both of us would be able to know when we would assist Ferros in his battle if he ever was at a disadvantage.

There were other hands of sticky slimes that Ferros wasn't able to destroy using his finger due to his lack of speed so Ferros created multiple flat barriers to protect him from the sticky slime hands.
The forest slime king was getting impatient as it started to move towards Ferros at a moderate speed.
Ferros didn't move from his position but instead squatted and placed his left hand onto the ground.
He destroyed the ground using his destruction magic which created a huge hole.
The forest slime king wasn't able to dodge the huge hole so it fell inside the huge hole.
Both Distere and I had recovered almost a third of power but it was enough to deal with the forest slime king.
Ferros, Distere, and I went towards the forest slime king and fought against it.
