Chapter 144: Learning More About The [Enslave] Skill

Axel 2 and I were currently having a conversation together by speaking using our minds.
I had activated the [Mana Stack] skill so it was constantly supplying me with mana to remain my skills as active.
The high-level monsters were still bombarding me with several projectiles but the number of them who remained on attacking me had decreased.
The high-level monsters often changed on the attack pattern that they usually used which made it much harder to predict.
The high-level monsters must have been plotting about something but since it was no use to think about it, Axel 2 and I decided to find more about the uses of the [Enslave] skill.
It might take a lot of time before my teammates arrived to assist me in defeating the high-level monsters.
Therefore, I used half of my concentration to operate my body while using half of it to communicate with Axel 2 in my mind.
I was currently in a white room filled with books that were littered on the ground.
Since the system was fused with my soul, I could also use the system in my mind.
In this room filled in white color, lied the link between the system and my mind.
It's more like space within my mind and it's currently used by Axel 2 to read the books that I had obtained from the Elven Library.
I could also summon the Dragon King in this white space since the Dragon King was stored in the system inventory.
The purpose of the white space was to connect my body, mind, and soul and it's more of a place between the three.
It could also be used to place all of the items I had stored in the system inventory so that I could sort all of them and used them whenever I wanted to.
I looked at Axel 2 and he was near a pile of books while he kept on flipping the pages of the book he held.
"Oh, you're here."
After Axel 2 said that, I walked towards Axel 2 and checked the title of the book that he held.
The book title was 'The Best Thing To Do Before You Die.
Did Axel 2, already gave up on the thought of defeating the high-level monsters?
Judging from the title of the book that Axel 2 was reading, he should be reading about that so that he could use the knowledge he obtained from the book to get ideas that could be used to make the situation between the high-level monsters and I favorable towards me.
"It seems that you already got the gist of my intention in reading this book. Unfortunately, there wasn't that much of a significant amount of information I got from the book that could help us against the high-level monsters."
That was indeed unfortunate. But it didn't mean that Axel 2 had not obtained any information from it.
"Will we continue our talk about the [Enslave] skill?", I asked Axel 2.
"We will. But first, we need to make sure that there wouldn't be any accident when you dodge the attacks of the high-level monsters."
After Axel 2 had replied to me, he forwarded his right hand while his hand was wide open which revealed his palm.
At the direction where Axel 2 had forwarded his hand, the Dragon King appeared in an instant.
Axel 2 must have operated the system inventory to summon the Dragon King in the white space.
"What's the purpose of the clone of Master Axel to summon this Dragon King?"
The Dragon King spoke through his mind which enabled him to communicate with Axel 2 and me.
"I need you to possess the body of Axel 1 so that he can use the other half of his concentration which he used to control his body into absorbing mana.", Axel 2 commanded the Dragon King.
"Forgive my rudeness but you are only a clone of my master. I will only listen to your command if I receive a confirmation from the master himself."
The Dragon King replied to Axel 2 and looked at me afterward.
"You can possess my body but only dodge the elemental projectiles or only use bluff attacks so that the amount of mana that it would cost to maintain the skill would lessen. That's the purpose of letting you possess my body since recovering my mana and stalling the high-level monsters is the utmost priority.", I said towards the Dragon King.
"As you wish, master."
The dragon king replied to me while lowering his head.
After a few seconds had passed, the Dragon King disappeared and was now taking control of my body as I felt the burden in my mind was lifted.
Pain assaulted my mind after I lifted the control in my body.
Controlling a lot of things and performing different actions at the same time was taking a toll on my mind.
I had no choice but to continue absorbing the mana in the surroundings despite the pain that I felt in my head.
"I will assist you in absorbing the mana in the surroundings so reduce the amount of mana you're absorbing so that it will reduce the burden in your mind."
I listened to Axel 2 and as he said, he assisted me in recovering my mana.
The pain I had felt in my mind had been reduced after Axel 2 helped me in absorbing the mana in the surroundings.
Although I still experience pain in my mind, it was now manageable so I was able to focus on doing some stuff in the white space.
"I will now tell you the two information about the [Enslave] skill that I had found out in one of the books which I have yet tell you."
"I might need you to listen for only a few minutes since the amount of information that I had not told you about the [Enslave] skill is not that much."
After Axel 2 told that, I listened to him since I was also curious about the [Enslave] skill.
I had borrowed at least a thousand books from the Elven Library so even in my spare time, I wasn't able to finish reading all of them.

It was only a matter of time before Axel 2 and I would be able to find the book we were looking for.
