The Dragon King had finished casting one of the most common but useful dragon magic which was the [Dragon Scales] to use the dragon scales to withstand the incoming attack from the numerous sharp spikes that were levitating in the air.
The Dragon King had cast the [Dragon Scales] in a split second which allowed him to boost his defenses before the numerous sharp spikes would strike him.
The numerous sharp spikes that were suspended in the air had its coated mana burst out of the numerous sharp spikes which caused the numerous sharp spikes to shoot towards the Dragon King at a speed that was a bit beyond the speed of sound.
The Dragon King flung his left hand that was covered in dragonic mana and had already been cast with [Dragon Claw] towards the numerous sharp spikes.
The Dragon King's dragon claw collided with one sharp spike at a time and countered some of it successfully.
There were a few sharp spikes that slipped past the Dragon King's dragon claw and were now heading towards the vital parts of the Dragon King's body.
I used some of the mana in my mana pool to create multiple small [Mana Shields] that were big enough to cover one sharp spike.
Since I had cast the [Mana Shields] into several miniature versions of the original, the cost of mana to cast it was reduced, and not only that, the miniature version possessed much more condensed mana in it which boost its defense by two folds.
The few sharp spikes that slipped past through the Dragon King's dragon claw were blocked by the miniature version of the [Mana Shield] which caused the few sharp spikes to bounce off the mana shields.
Although I did a decent job in blocking the few sharp spikes, there were still at least a sharp spike or two that ricocheted between each other which caused it to change directions.
The change from the direction of the sharp spike caused the trajectory of the few sharp spikes to hit towards the limbs of the Dragon King instead of the Dragon King's vital parts.
The Dragon King and I weren't fast enough to defend the remaining sharp spikes that were heading towards the Dragon King's limb but the two of us decided not to bother in stressing ourselves in defending against it.
There were only 3 sharp spikes left that were heading towards the Dragon King's limb and since the Dragon King had already activated [Dragon Scales], the Dragon King and I weren't that worried that the 3 sharp spikes would be able to penetrate the [Dragon Scales].
Just as the Dragon King and I had thought, the 3 sharp spikes bounced off from the [Dragon Scales] that was made out of dragonic mana.
The Dragon King had already countered all possible attacks that the level 72,500 lethal blade hedgehog had left and since the level 72,500 lethal blade hedgehog was already dead, the level 72,500 lethal blade hedgehog no longer posed any threat towards the Dragon King and me.
There were only 7 high-level monsters left and the Dragon King and I were making some progress.
The Dragon King canceled the [Dragon Scales] skill to reduce the mana consumption rate since he didn't need it for the time being.

I saw that the flow of mana in the head of the level 72,500 lethal blade hedgehog was starting to dissipate so it was only a matter of time that the Dragon King would be able to pull his right hand out of the head of the level 72,500 lethal blade hedgehog.
The other 7 high-level monsters excluding the level 73,000 silver armor armadillo was eyeing the Dragon King with the intent of attacking the Dragon King.
Some of the high-level monsters were looking for an opportunity to attack the Dragon King first before the other high-level monsters would beat them to it.
Of course, there were a few high-level monsters that weren't that patient such as the level 79,000 boa constrictor.
The level 79,000 boa constrictor slithered towards the Dragon King and slammed its huge tail towards the ground to propel itself upwards.
The level 79,000 boa constrictor was now in mid-air and it moved its tail to form a hammer shape.
The Dragon King's right hand was still stuck in the head of the level 72,500 lethal blade hedgehog so the Dragon King had to drag the corpse of the level 72,500 lethal blade hedgehog with him to escape from the level 79,000 boa constrictor.
The corpse of the level 72,500 lethal blade hedgehog was so heavy that the Dragon King had to use his dragonic mana to increase his strength.
The level 79,000 boa constrictor slammed its hammer-shaped tail towards the Dragon King.
The hammer-shaped tail of the level 79,000 boa constrictor landed on the ground because the Dragon King was able to escape from the attack of the level 79,000 boa constrictor by a hair's breadth.
The level 79,000 boa constrictor's hammer-shaped tail attack caused a shockwave after it landed on the ground and the ground formed a huge crater due to the attack of the level 79,000 boa constrictor.
The Dragon King was caught up in the shockwave from the level 79,000 boa constrictor's attack since the Dragon King wasn't able to escape that far from the location where the attack of the level 79,000 boa constrictor had landed.
The Dragon King was blown away by the shockwave which caused the Dragon King to propel backward.
There was multiple debris from the ground that flew towards the Dragon King at a high speed due to the attack of the level 79,000 boa constrictor.
Fortunately, the Dragon King had already activated [Dragon Wings] and [Flight] which allowed him to change his location in an instant by flapping his dragon wings and boosting his flight speed using the [Flight] skill.

The level 79,000 boa constrictor's previous action had allowed it to appear behind the Dragon King.
The level 79,000 boa constrictor didn't waste that opportunity as it quickly opened its mouth towards the Dragon King.
The Dragon King and I already knew that the attack of the level 79,000 boa constrictor was only a bluff attack since the level 79,000 boa constrictor mainly focused on killing its prey by wrapping its body and constricting its prey.
