In the past hundred years, Alraune had acquired the ability to slaughter dragons, and even the three goblin brothers were no exception.

It seemed that they had honed their skills considerably over the past century.

No one could resist but bedazzled by their beautiful and effortless coordination, as if they were performing a juggling act.

 In the beginning.

“What, what is going on?” (Villagers)

“Goblins can cook?” (Villagers)

“Is it edible? That’s scary…” (Villagers)

The villagers were talking to each other before, but now—silence.

Not only their dexterity, but the tantalizing aroma and the sound of cooking shut their mouths altogether.

Everyone’s mouth waters as they watch over the completion of the dish.

 And–

“It’s done!” (Tiny)

The eldest son, the goblin, finishes serving the dishes, and the second son, the third son, arranges the dishes in front of me and Mr. Rudoua.

“Th-This is……” (Rudolf)

 Grampa Rudolf is speechless.

Seeing this reaction, the eldest, Tiny grinned,

“–This is a dish we’ve been perfecting! Six-eyed goat stew, goblin-style!” (Tiny)

At the appearance of the dish, the people around him screamed, “Oh!?”

It also took my breath away.

 No wonder.

Who could have predicted that such a thing would come out in such a rural village.

There is no speck of cloudiness in the brown soup that seems to want to take you in.

The rising scent invaded my nose and coaxed stomach to open up.

Everyone on in the vicinity knew.

There is no way for this to taste bad.

“It’s a stew that uses plenty of goat meat, but I really wanted to take more time to stew it.” (Tiny)

“… I haven’t ordered it, is that okay?”

“No. You’ve taught us so much, you’ve got to taste it.” (Tiny)

“Wow, can I eat too?” (Rudolf)

“Old man! You’re the one ordering it!!” (Tiny)

“Hiii!?” (Rudolf)

“Tiny, don’t threaten the elderly… Grampa Rudolf, this is the stew you want, don’t hesitate and eat it.”

“Well, Narugoa … I’m happy and it looks just like the stew my wife once made, but…” (Rudolf)

 Grampa Rudolf murmured.

“… My wife last made it almost fifty years ago, and Narugoa may not know it, but it distorts many things over the years, even with that stew. It may only exist in my memory…” (Rudolf)

“Grampa Rudolf…”

Grampa muttered, with a expression of melancholy, and looked down at the stew in his plate.

In response to this—the eldest brother finally snapped.

“Hey… Hey, hey! Old man! Didn’t I told you I won’t forgive you if you are slacking!?” (Tiny)

“Huh! But…!” (Rudolf)

“What the hell! The food will get cold! You know…!” (Tiny)

The eldest, Tiny, points to himself.

“Fifty years is nothing! Our tongues still remember the taste of that dish we ate a hundred years ago! A dish that truly touches people’s hearts will remain there no matter how many hundreds of years have passed!” (Tiny)

“A dish that strikes people’s heartstrings…” (Rudolf)

“If you understand it, quickly eat it!” (Tiny)

“Wow, I understand, don’t point the knife!” (Rudolf)

It was only a half-assed threat, but in the end, Grampa Rudolf acquiesced.

The old man scoops the stew with a spoon.

As the onlookers watched with bated breath, he took it fearfully into his mouth.

“—“

 I lost with words.

Grampa Rudolf was frozen and silent.

“G-Gramps…?” (Villager)

“Is he okay !? Was it so bad that he can’t speak!?” (Villager)

“No way the goblins poisoned…!” (Villager)

Someone makes a disturbing remark, and the goblins who hear this make a really bad face.

But they soon quelled their anger.

 Because,

“No doubt… this is the stew my wife made fifty years ago…” (Rudolf)

This is because Grampa Rudolf was tearing up and smiling.

――Immediately, Grampa Rudolf dug in his stew quickly.

He moves the small spoon without hesitation and joyfully eats it like a child.

“Without a doubt! I’m sure!” (Rudolf)

Grampa Rudolf lifted the bowl and drank the stew directly from the bowl.

It was gone in no time.

The onlookers are so surprised that they just couldn’t talk.

And while Grampa Rudolf wiped the continuous stream of tears, he said.

“It’s been fifty years… since I’ve last seen Ricotta; it felt like Ricotta was here…” (Rudolf)

The crowd roars and the three goblin brothers give each other a high five.

“Why…? I don’t know about cooking, and of course I don’t even know the recipe for the stew made by my wife… but why does this taste the same…” (Rudolf)

“It’s easy, it’s all because your wife’s feelings are there.” (Tiny)

“Feelings for me…?” (Rudolf)

“The ingredients used were mainly goat meat and ginger, both of which are famous in this village for their nutritious properties, and you’ve always had a weak stomach, haven’t you, old man?” (Tiny)

“Why do you know that?” (Rudolf)

“I can tell by the odor of your mouth, so I added safuri leaves to improve condition of your digestion. This can also be found around this village.” (Tiny)

“Bu, bumo, ah, ah, old man, you also have anemia.” (Burly)

“Really!?” (Rudolf)

“I can tell by looking at your face, so I added the six-eyed goat’s liver to the sauce.” (Tiny)

“The liver of a six-eyed goat!?” (Rudolf)

“That part that’s only good for dogs!?” (Villager)

 The onlookers are buzzing.

 The eldest brother, Tiny, snorted.

“Human beings are useless, even pet dogs have a better palate, but if you do the proper preparation, it won’t taste bad, and the one called Ricotta seems to have some good palate.” (Tiny)

“So that’s why no one could reproduce the depth of the stew that my wife made…! But I still don’t know! How did you reproduce this taste!?” (Rudolf)

“It’s because your wife specially made it just for you, old man.” (Tiny)

“Just… for me…?” (Rudolf)

Grandpa Rudoa ruminated on the words as if chewing it over.

“Yes, if I were to make a stew for your health with only the ingredients available here, it would have to be that way. The precise amount would be different, but…” (Tiny)

“–Woooooo!!!” (Rudolf)

 Grampa Rudolf roared.

The adults in the village trembled and were astonished at the eccentric reaction of usually gentle and quiet Grampa Rudolf.

“What the hell is he doing… what are you doing! In a place like this…” (Villager)

“What’s wrong with Grampa!?” (Villager)

Grampa Rudolf tore off his shirt and revealed his naked torso.

His body that was once trained is exposed to the sun.

He was no longer an old man waiting for death.

There he was, Rudolf, the martial artist who once trained himself and slaughtered many monsters with his fist.

“–If I go to the other side with such a weak body, I will be betraying my beloved Ricotta’s feelings! I’ll have to start training again!” (Rudolf)

“O-old man Rudolf!?” (Villager)

“I’m going to live long!!” (Rudolf)

“Stop, Grampa you’re already old… Wow!? What’s with those biceps?” (Villager)

“His back looks like it has a demon’s face!?” (Villager)

“Is that a small piece of Orichalcum on your shoulder!?” (Vilager)

Every time the old man poses, the crowd gets excited.

Surprisingly, Grampa Rudolf’s bodybuilding show has begun.

Beside that, I scoop up my stew with a spoon and bring it to my mouth.

“How about it Narugoa-san, what do you think of the dish we’re proud of?” (Tiny)

 The eldest brother, Tiny asks.

 I smiled and responded.

“–It’s an undisputed three-star, you raise your head high.”

“Hey, that’s just a warm up! After all, we have six hands!” (Tiny)

~3rd Person Perspective~

Watching the ruckus, Narugoa’s parents looked at each other.

“… The prophecy was true after all.” (Mother)

“Oh no doubt.” (Father)

 Narugoa’s father nods deeply.

And he said with a serious face.

“The rebirth of the Hero was supposed to be born in Gatel village—no doubt, Narugoa is the reborn Hero.” (Father)
